My nightmare began with a screen replacement on May 26. Immediately after the repair, the replacement screen was hypersensitive, glitching, and clearly malfunctioning. I also noticed a very small chip along the side of the screen and returned to the store that same day. Instead of addressing the defective repair, the technician claimed the screen issues were somehow my fault. He then proceeded to press firmly on the exact location of the tiny chip, causing the screen to spiderweb and crack further right in front of me. The damage visibly worsened due to his actions. When I returned to speak with the manager, he grudgingly agreed to replace the screen for an additional $100--but only if I removed my negative review. Reluctantly, I removed the review, paid the money, and had the screen and protector replaced *Just HOURS later, the screen went completely black* I immediately returned to the store, where I was told the issue was caused by liquid damage. That explanation was impossible--the phone had not gotten wet or been exposed to liquid in any way during the few hours since the repair. After considerable back-and-forth, the manager finally agreed to repair the screen again. Now, *just FIVE DAYS* after that replacement screen was installed, the phone is once again completely black and non-functional. At this point, there is a clear pattern of failed repairs. Most concerning was being pressured to remove a negative review in exchange for a partial remedy to a problem that should never have occurred in the first place, so I will NOT be removing this review. I will be taking my phone elsewhere for repair, and I will be escalating this matter to CPR Corporate and any other appropriate consumer channels. read more

They replaced my cracked ipad screen and did a nice job. Several years later a section of the screen quit responding. I called and they said that it sounded like the screen might be defective and that they would fix it under warranty as long as it was not showing signs of being dropped or water damage (Neither of these had happened). I took it to the store and received a call within 1 hour that said they would not cover it under warranty as it showed signs of being dropped and that it would be over $200 to fix it. I argued my case with them (there is no external sign of damage) but finally said I would just pick up the unit. It does not look like they even opened it up! Bottom line if you value having a warranty STAY AWAY. It is too easy for them to decline the warranty service and the customer has no way to challenge their decision. read more

Run! Avoid this business at all costs, even if your provider sends you here. My under a year old Samsung Galaxy 24 from T-Mobile developed a problem with the touchscreen. I brought it here in January of 2025 and was told that I had dropped it. My phone lives a charmed life as have all of my prior Smartphones in an Otterbox Defender case. I have never broken a screen apart from a flip phone 25 years ago. I had them replace the screen and they gave me a lifetime repair warranty. This morning, August 7 2025 I had the same problem with the phone and assumed it was a defective replacement screen. They had the phone for 2 hours, the store manager Ishmael told me that they would likely cover it and to come back in an hour or so. When I returned, they claimed I had corrosion from water intrusion. The phone has not been submerged in water in the 6 months since they last replaced it. The warranty as per him was now invalid. I paid for a second screen to get my phone clear of this business. Recommend you spread the word or at the very least avoid this business. read more

My phone shattered front and back by a car running over it. Luckily I was able to use a temporary phone until I got home to Augusta get it repaired. I used another local company before but decided to try elsewhere because after the last repair my old phone continued to heat up where I couldn't use it anymore and had to upgrade. I used CPR cell repair many years ago but their prices were slightly higher than the competition that's why I didn't return to be honest. Well I learned my lesson - sometimes you should pay a little more for quality service that can be guaranteed vs going the cheap route. I came across an employee named Matt and he was very knowledgeable and honest. The reason I say this is because when I brought my phone in, I wasn't even sure it worked and he pointed that out to me. He was right - no reason to fix a phone screen if it isn't going to turn on after repairs. He asked if he could diagnose it and there wouldn't be a charge - I appreciated that! He then determined it was able to charge and turn on but there the camera - front and back couldn't be used unless repaired. I mostly wanted the screen phone repaired because of the hundreds of passwords saved that I no longer had access too. I decided to just fix the front and he fixed it while I waited in their lobby. He returned with a pristine repaired front screen and he even put some tape on the back to make sure all the glass from the breakage of the phone didn't cut me. Thank you for employing honest employees who are knowledgeable as that gained you a loyal customer. Keep up the good work! My phone screen was cracked, badly and the cord on the inside of my phone broke off. Looking at the phone, it looked like it needed life support. This was the place nearest to me, so I went there. I'm happy that I did. The guy working assured me of what needed to be done and he went to work. In less than a hour, I had a brand new phone. Not literally but it looked a whole lot better than the phone that I brought in there. I also picked up a cute phone case. Customer service is outstanding. Hopefully I don't have to come back anytime soon for any repairs, but if so, I wouldn't hesitate. read more

Cracked my iPhone 8 Plus on cobblestone in Charleston. The glass was shattered, but a simple shatter. The cameras and home button were not damaged. The online quote and the over phone quote was a 5 dollar difference. But I also chose to not make an appointment due to my schedule, so I took the higher walk in price. But there are instructions to how to get 5 dollars off inside the store. When dropping your phone off they collect information from you including your phone passcode. I'm not sure why they need that, but be sure to change it when you get it back. They have an estimated due back time of 1 hour. I arrived back 15 minutes early and my phone was ready and charging on their chargers. They place a piece of peely tape over the new glass to prevent fingerprint, dirt, etc. I paid my 90 dollars and I was on my way. My screen is good as new and the price (compared to what I used to pay) is responsible. Extra points for the fast service. read more

I came to replace my Daughters Screen as the phone was freezing the first three glasses still was not working so I came to get her old glass put back that only had a lower scratch so small you didn't notice it! They told me they recycled her glass and gave her one so badly damaged it cut her which was dangerous and it wasn't even on! I'm really disappointed with this place! My kids are my top priority and for Sure they'll lose my business and my Husband is out raged he wants to make a report! Safety is a big issue and even though I got her a new phone she wanted to transfer her school and contact info and whatever else! I'm pretty sure they sold her Screen I will post a pic of what hers looked like that they gave a teenager! Bottom Line: Fair price for cleaning a water damaged iPhone. It was saved with some minimal screen distortion, due to the soaking. I would have given at least four stars and possibly, but you have to read on.... That said....I take my iPhone6 to CPR because I went skinny dipping with it in the pool. I am told that they would check it out and clean it for $55. Then I am told that if it happens to work they would charge another $20. I was like, WHAT???? Let me say that again, WHAT????? I cracked my screen literally 50 min before they closed, I called to see if I could come get it fixed and he told me to come right in. I was worried because I lived 20 min away, I got there at 6:45 pm and my screen was repaired in 15 min for only $90! Which is the cheapest I ever spent to get my screen repaired (I crack my screen a lot) the two gentlemen who work there were both nice and helpful, which was a also a plus, great customer service, great price! I'm a pretty "official" guy. I tend to prefer going to the Apple Store to get Apple repairs, I call the manufacturer for TV service, etc. I was admittedly skeptical of bringing my iPad to a non-Apple repair place, but it ended up being a great decision. My screen was in horrible shape when I took it in, and now I honestly can't tell a difference between my original unbroken screen and the repaired one. Ishmael did a great job and did it quickly. Great and fast service! I brought my friends phone in to have the screen fixed and was quoted a 30 minute time. Sure enough, it was finish in 30 minutes and only cost $110. Additionally, I had a screen protector applied to my phone and when the manager noticed that the screen protector wouldn't look right on the phone, he replaced it with out any need for prompting. First off, I was unable to get my phone repaired through them, so this review is a bit skewed. What I WILL say, though, is that, rather than try to squeeze money out of me, or talk me into getting a different phone, they were very professional and honest. I have a HTC One Remix and I dropped it, face first, onto the parking lot one day. Now everything rendered on my screen looks like a Picasso painting. I took it in to these guys and showed them the damage. They informed me that, due to the way the case is built (i.e. impossible to get open), they charge about as much as the phone is worth to repair it and that I would be better off getting on eBay and getting a replacement there. The only reason why I gave this store a 3 is because I couldn't put a 2 in a half. But never the less let's talk about the problem. I have samsung galxy note 8 and they gave a damn knock off screen, I can see a line on my phone. That look like a T like where is this c ok ming from. I paid 145 for this phone if that was the case I could have went to batteries and bulbs to my screen fix for 300 dollars higher price but quality screens. I brought in a Galaxy S4 to CPR for a cracked screen which I was told over the phone could be repaired for $180. Rather than pay the $200 deductible for another refurbished phone, I chose to allow CPR to give it a shot. The technician finished with it in about an hour an a half. The screen had been repaired, but the technician left some major "bubbles" under the glass - he made it sound like it was typical, and explained that he had trouble removing the old glass (there was a different glue used?) Anyway, it looked like crap, but the tech played it off like he did his best, so oh, well, right? The glass was also really hazy and streaky. We tried cleaning it off with alcohol, but the glass just looked bad. He recommended that I just not try to clean it, just leave it alone. Because the store had already closed, and I was the only customer, I just paid the guy and left. I didn't want to get into a confrontation and tell him to re-do the replacement. I took the phone the next day and sold it, got a new HTC One on account of the Galaxy S4 just looking too terrible for words. So I was out $180 (shame on me) but I wanted the yelp community know these guys are complete bush league and will try to make you feel good about their crap quality and inattention to detail. $180 for a new looking replacement - worth it The garbage phone these guys gave back to me - criminal. Oh yeah, the tech called me on my way home. He said because he left a few bubbles, next time I get a phone, he'd give me a 50% discount on a case. I dropped my iPad off Thursday was told it would be done by Friday or Saturday. Got no phone call Friday or Saturday and of course closed Sunday. I called Monday morning was told to give them an hour and it would be ready 4 hours later I showed up. I was told again give me 15 more minutes. Almost 2 hours later it was finally ready. Went in to CPR to have a screen replaced on a Sony Xperia Z3 compact. The job appeared to be very professional and competitively priced. Unfortunately, after one day the screen began to lift off. It appeared the glue did not set properly and the screen cracked because of the workmanship. We took the phone back in to CPR. To my surprise CPR said it was physical damage and they would not warranty the work. They did offer a reduced price to repair (about 15%). Yes, it was apparent the damage was physical; however, the physical damage occured because of the faulty workmanship which should be covered. read more

Took my LG G2 in to have the screen replaced. The phone was powered on when I dropped it off. When I picked up the phone it would not power up. The said that they tried replacing the screen twice but it would not power on and they did not know what was wrong with the phone. When I came in, they said it'll take a day to repair. When I did receive my phone, everything seemed to be working fine until I noticed a dead spot in the middle of the screen and my official iphone charger wasn't working to charge. I brought my phone in for repair and once I picked it up I found my SIM card to be stolen. When I called Ishmael (self proclaimed owner) told me that they dont remove the SIM card while repairng a screen. SOOOOOOOOOOO apparrently I am a complete liar. I walk in with a SIM card, pay 158 dollars to walk out without my SIM card. Sad thing is I took my battery out of my phone to avoid it being switched with a burned out battery and still manage to get swindled. Great way to treat U.S. soldiers. read more
