I've been here several times in the past couple years to inquire about phone and internet plans…read more Looking at new phones is always fun, too..... This is your typical AT&T store: bright and spacious with phone displays along the wall (iPhones, Androids, Windows phones, etc.) and a couple center displays with the latest tablets. There is no large television display area, but they do offer U-Verse (whatever the bundles are -- I haven't looked much into it). Employees are friendly and not too pushy, with the exception of a couple of them. You have to be clear and upfront about your intentions when you speak with them. One new development with their phones that I didn't know about until a few days ago: gone are the days when you can just put down $200 for a phone with a 2-year contract. Nope. Now you have to pay full price of the phone, no matter what. Not up front, of course, but in payments over twenty to thirty months with AT&T's NEXT program. Eeek! Unless you're able to shell out the full cost of a phone up front or you opt for one of the cheaper GO phones, you're stuck with a monthly payment for the phone itself in addition to the phone usage bill. Not cool. Along with that, you can upgrade your phone only after a certain amount of time, based on the payment plan you choose. Blah. On one hand, it's nice not to plunk down $200 off the bat for the phone, but it sucks that your bill is essentially higher each month because you're paying for the phone itself too. Let's face it..... phones are getting more expensive these days. Sigh. At least this store is here. No need to drive out to Lexington for assistance. I'm a fan of the store, I suppose. Just not the phone bills.

Our rep Alex was very knowledgeable and efficient- he made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I have seen some negative reviews of this store that are mostly old- I would not hesitate to come here, and this was a great experience for us.

A huge corporation and they give you grief over the smallest request. The store told me to call the 611 number, the rep on 611 said go to the store.....get it together. Lol. I will definitely be switching carriers as soon as it won't hit me in the wallet. I've been with them for 20 plus years and have never asked for anything and use auto pay so they get paid on time every time. Obviously I'm just an account, typical of at&t from what I've been reading. Sad.

Two different associates tried to complete the transfer. I was told that it could not be done since her old phone was "15-20 software versions behind" and could not connect to their in-store WiFi, which is required to do the phone transfer. I said that's interesting, since her phone routinely connects to WiFi at home and wherever we travel with public WiFi. Further, my iPhone which works perfectly would not connect to their in-store WiFi. They said my phone was a different problem. Said we would have to contact Samsung, but probably had to buy a new phone. First we confirmed at home and other places that her phone connects to WiFi, and we checked online to confirm the the phone had the latest version of software. Then we went to a different AT&T store, where her two phones immediately connected to WiFi and the transfer was complete in about 10 minutes. Amazing. Do not recommend using the AT&T store in Hamburg - incompetent.

Omar was extremely knowledgeable of the plans available and helped us with all of our account issues. Best of all, they were not pushy on upselling, gave us exactly what we needed and informed us what was available in the future. I can now highly recommend this location.

All I wanted was to purchase an upgraded IPhone, nothing else. A lot of additional information was thrown at me regarding plans, additional service options, additional products which I had no interest in and made that clear. Another salesperson then intervened and was very pushy about these additional services to the point of insulting me. When I declined the service his comment was "Boy I wish I had your money" insinuating that I was foolish for not taking the offer which was very insulting to me. I'm not sure why he even joined the conversation when I was dealing with Jennifer W. Nobody asked him. The more he talked about these additional services, the less interested I became in this transaction. He was unprofessional, pushy and rude. At the end of this appointment I was able to purchase a IPhone 17 and move on. It didn't need to be this hard. Hard sell tactics are unwarranted when the customer knows what she wants.

The employee ensured me that I would get full value for my iPhone 14 even though the camera was cracked. I received an iPhone 17 and kept my old phone for a couple days (you have 30 days to return it to the store) to make sure I got everything transferred over correctly. I took the old phone back within a week or two and a new employee was helping me. He told me that I was only going to get half credit value for my phone since the camera was broken, even though the other employee (who was right next to us) had told me it didn't matter that my camera was broken. Thankfully this employee had a way for me to get my camera fixed free of charge, and allowed me to trade in my old phone for the price I was told before. He is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one. Once I traded everything in, I thought everything was good. I got my new bill for my new phone, and the first month was extremely expensive, like more than double what I was paying previously, when I was told it was going to be relatively the same. I knew that there were activation fees for the first month so I let it slide. The second month it was still ridiculously expensive, a little less than the first month but still way more than what I was quoted. I called ATT to figure out why my bill was so high, and they said the Richmond road employees had ADDED the top tier insurance plan and the ATT next up anytime to my bill without my consent. This added almost $40 a month to my bill, and I'm only paying for one line. I asked the customer service associate if that was something that they just automatically put on new phones, and they said no and that I would've had to specifically ask for that to put be put on my bill when I upgraded my phone. I told her to remove that immediately because I had never asked for that nor did I consent to either of those being added to my bill. Basically they have no idea what they're doing (except the one nice guy who was actually helpful) and will add things to your bill without your consent!!!!!
