Had an old IphoneX that had the green line of death through it. Walked in and was immediately greeted by Heather who helped me explore my options and got me an awesome new Iphone 13. Even though my other phone was broken I was still able to use it as a trade in because it still was functional. Heather got me in and out with a new phone and was so so so helpful the entire time. Went in to upgrade a phone. By the time we got out we ended up paying more than twice what we planned for, and walked out with a non-working phone (which we didn't know). They did not have any iPhone Mini (which we wanted). We reluctantly agreed to take an iPhone 12 because the old phone we were replacing was malfunctioning and we were out of options. After signing the digital order screen I looked at the receipt and realized we were charged more than the phone price. Turned out they only had a phone with twice the memory we asked for. They charged us for it but never told us until we saw it on the receipt. The person we spoke with did not know how to transfer the data from the old phone and almost decided (on her own) to create a new Apple ID for us when I stopped her. We made sure the phone could call the other phone on the plan and headed home to transfer our own data. The next day we realized the new phone could only call the other phone on the plan but no other number. We had to spend time with AT&T tech support who had to redo the whole provisioning process to get everything to work. I have a hard time believing that a small store in a small town just ran out of all low-end phone models. But even if that was the case, clearly the person who sold us the new phone did not configure it properly. We were not offered a trade-in for our old phone, or an AppleCare warranty. read more
