They sold me a new Apple iphone that does not hold a charge, I came back and they refused to waive the restocking fee, and replace it so they're sending me off to Apple to deal with warranty and all kinds of frustrating things. And on top of that, the two guys looked at me, the manager and the person "helping" me and said, well you have a great day now. No empathy, slow service, and no value to a 15+ year AT&T customer. I love this AT&T store. Like Shelly, a wireless store is not one of my favorite places to go, it's kinda like going to the dentist. You go because you have to go. When going to a AT&T store I always make sure it is a corporate store and not a privately owned one. I just feel you get better service when you are shopping in the mother ship. The store over on Clayton Road across from the Galleria use to be my store of choice, but not any more. The customer service here is so personalized and more friendly. They've helped me through both iphones 3 & 4 and were instrumental when my iphone fell into a rain barrel. Helping with that drama, I will always be indebted Todays visit was a simple tech visit. I kept get a message to enter a password for my voice mail - I didn't know I even had one. I walked in and immediately (no waiting) had my problem resolved. They coached and helped me learn the solution with fun witty banter. We all had a good laugh when I realized I had 40 voice mails. 40 voice mails that I had no idea I had. No wonder I had a few friends pissed off that I didn't return a call. Hey, with text who uses voice mail any way, it's so 20th century...lol. read more

AT&T can't seem to do anything in under an hour. After several, blood-pressure accelerating, hour-long phone calls trying to move a land line number from a previous residence three blocks away, AT&T's solution was that they could only move it if I purchased a pricey U-Verse package, but not if I wanted to keep it as a traditional land line. Hmmm? On my last call when the customer service rep could sense that I was clearly on the brink of losing it, they finally told me about an option to set up wireless service for your land line and keep your number by just purchasing a box at the AT&T store and paying a $20/mo fee. Why was that such a secret and why did it take about 5 collective hours of my life that I'll never get back to find this solution? Probably because it's about $25 less a month than a land line and about $40 less a month than U-Verse. We headed to this AT&T store location and they got us set up with the wireless home phone option. They were very nice and accommodating, but the trip did take over an hour, with an additional follow-up phone call a few days later to activate the line that took another hour. I was already so disgruntled with the experiences leading up to the trip to the store, I don't think I'd give them over a couple of stars even if they paid me. I know that "hate" is a strong word, but after this experience, I can truly say that I hate AT&T. read more

I experienced some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered when I went there yesterday to get a replacement for a stolen phone. Sales rep Billy chomped gum, drummed loudly on the counter, and stopped our conversation to ask what his buddies were talking about, as there were a minimum of 5 reps standing idly by talking over our sale. He was annoyed when I had questions, and acted as if he couldn't get me out of the store fast enough. It would have been worth going out of my way and waiting in long lines at a different location to not experience Billy. read more

I'd been putting off an upgrade for months before remembering a person can still walk into a store for help. And help I got from Melvin who was so nice and patient and informative. AT&T SUCKS big time!!! I ordered new service to be installed 10 days ago (today was the earliest they can come out) and gave me a 8am-8pm window. That's all day, but thank goodness I'm off this week so no sweat. I cleaned and organized at home all day waiting for the phoneman. I even got up early to make sure I don't miss him and didn't go out all day. It's 730pm and no phoneman. So I tried calling the 800 number to ask if I will have a phone in the next 30 minutes... The office is already closed! It referred the callers to use their uverse.att.com online so I went there and entered my order number. Get this... the status of my order is: CANCELLED. If this was a mistake to please contact their office. Oh, but their office is closed!!! :( This is the 2nd time this had happened to me in the last month that I'm trying to set-up a phone service from AT&T in my new home. There will not be a 3rd time or any other time! I'm going back to Xfinity with Comcast. AT&T will never have my business again. This reminded me why I'm with Comcast internet in the first place. AT&T couldn't help me with my connection problem from another country while Comcast will take over my computer to see what is wrong and resolve it right away. COMCAST Rules!!! read more

We have gone to this store in the past and they have been very helpful and responsive. Today we needed account assistance and during our conversation with and employee and the Manager, we questioned the responses they provided which caused them to respond by first saying they were the professionals and then telling us to leave the store and never come back. I do not believe either the store representative nor the manager received Customer service training because if they did our problems would be resolved. We ended up calling the customer loyalty department which helped us resolve our account issues. I won't return to this store due to poor management. read more

The fact that I am giving a cell phone store 5 stars is shocking, and AT&T no less! I pretty much think all wireless companies have you between a rock and a hard place these days and trying to understand and navigate your way through their systems on-line and over the phone is CIA worthy. That's what took me in to this store. I knew it was a corporate store, THIS IS KEY! They can do much more to your account and help you out in ways that the non-corporate stores just aren't able to do. I had a problem with my bill that I didn't understand and going in the store was a refreshing change. First, you're greeted at the door by someone and if an employee is not available right away, you're placed on a waiting list. Great, now I free to roam around and not feel claustrophobic stuck in some line. All of the employees are helpful and get your what you need. I've never felt any pressure to make a decision then and there or buy something. They are happy to educate you on their services and products, while still allowing you to make your own decisions. I came in to pay a bill for a friend while he was on vacation. Once they learned that I was not in the market for any new products they were rude and short. And can someone please tell me the reason they have someone to greet you at the door but refuses to help any customers when it gets busy? My experience was no where near as good as the other reviewers. One of, if not the worst customer service experiences I've ever had (and I worked in retail so I do understand good customer service). I waited more than one hour for what should have been a 5-minute transaction, was told several times I was "next" and when customers had been taken care of, sales reps disappeared. Worst service ever. Find another provider. Signed up for a first responder FirstNet cell service and they promised me $15 off each of my home services (Directv and Internet). After the first month my bill came due and they didn't give me the discounts promised. Pretty much said too bad so sad, we tried. Spoke with Ian the store manager and the best he could do was give me an 800 number to customer loyalty. I have all of the original figures written down. Does this sound like a breach of contract to you? I certainly hope you find another cell/TV/internet provider. Or at least shop at a reputable AT&T store. I was experiencing a problem. I called the 800 number for AT&T and also the store I bought my phone and no one would help me. They said it's been longer than 30 days to insure my phone and that was that. I was stuck with the new Note 4 and no insurance. I finally came to this store. The nicest girl helped me right when I walked in the door. I explained my problem and she helped me. I finally have insurance. I left feeling satisfied. But..why couldn't the 800 number for customer service for at&t help me? I was on that phone call for 35 minutes and talked to 4 people all telling me they couldn't help me. I visited yesterday to meet someone to sell my old iPhone to and An employee named Emel met me at the door. He was very friendly and had a very helpful attitude. I needed to verify that the phone was not showing a stolen block any longer since I had previously reported it prior to phone being returned. Went into the store today for a simple purchase of a phone case. When I walked in I could tell by the the look on numerous customers faces that they'd been waiting for quite some time. I thought I've got some time and would chance waiting for a little. Well a little turned into 2 hours. I watch many customers walk out frustrated that never seemed to be acknowledged by the staff. I watch a couple employees break down the kiosk and walk into the back after finished with customers and never approach any of us that were waiting. Being a commission based job thought they would jump on the chance to help as many customers as they could. Defiantly not the case here. Thought it was very bad customer service to not at least acknowledge customers when they came in, check them in, and a least let them know of the wait. Just let people know what's going on so they don't waste their time. Heck I would have made an appointment, did some errands and came back. I've been in many other AT&T store and figured checking customers in was a thing they had to do. I finally became a little irritate when a women walked right in and was helped when there had been a couple of us waiting for quite some time. When I approached the girl working with this woman the only thing she and her manager said is that she had an appointment. As mentioned before if anyone would have checked us in at least we know what we were up against and what appointments were ahead of us. As a customer I felt like the staff could really care less if they helped us or not. In a customer service job you should at least acknowledge customers not just leave them sitting wondering if your going to help them. When I was finally helped, by the manger, there was no sorry about the wait. I understand that places can be understaffed and busy, but this was just a joke. I've been an AT&T customer for close to ten years so to say I have been in my fair share of their stores is an understatement. Out of all the stores I've been in, this is the best. I've been here a handful of times for a number of things (i.e : pay a bill, get a new charger, get a new phone case, general questions, getting a new phone and so on). Each and every time the wait time is short, the staff is helpful and knowledgeable and they always have what I need on hand. I was recently in to get a new phone but wanted to ask some questions before committing. The person who helped me (I think her name is Ashley - so sorry I don't remember because she was great!) was more than willing to answer any and all of my questions as well as give me her opinion on the item I was considering. Never once did she seem like she was trying to upsell or swing me in one direction or the other. I left with a new phone as well as the accessories I needed. It was a great experience and as long as I am living in South City this will be my go to store - not just because it's close and convenient but because the staff at this store does everything they can to ensure you have a good experience each time you come in. read more

AT&T takes ages to solve solutions, as well as horrible technician service. Someone was scheduled to be here and NEVER showed up until I called them and ripped them a new one. Once they actually decided to show up, the problem was fixed easily. Another problem I had, while at a store getting a new iPhone, one of my family members was completely scammed into getting an iPhone at an outrageous extra price. He was told only $2 extra on the bill a month, but when I went later to get an upgrade, the much nicer, non-scamming, clerk was about to sell me an iPhone and he said it was $27 extra a month! We explained to him how my brother was scammed into an iPhone at that very store, and did the most he could to get me as many discounts on my new Moto-X. The clerk, was nice enough to help us save money by directing me to my new, way better than an iPhone, Moto-X. I would recommend AT&T, but tell me friends to be careful. Made an appointment to do several things (swapping out an ipad for another tablet, cancelling contract on flip phone and replacing with smartphone, transferring internet service to a new house, etc.). It was a ton of stuff to go through, and Chris Smith helped us. He was awesome! He was very knowledgeable, and explained everything very well. He wasn't a hard sell on anything, but answered all questions and had a nice, calm and chill personality that made dealing with him great. I've dealt with a few people at this store and for the most part they've been good to deal with, but Chris really stood out. read more

Horrible! The manager, Jessie (last name something like Dondek) was unbelievably unprofessional. I bought a piece of equipment that I wanted to return -- only to find out it they had a 2 week return policy. I had been traveling for a month not long after buying the product, but she did not care. She said I could contact corporate to get special permission based on my circumstances, which I did and they put an exception in my record/account, but when I went to return the item she still refused. HORRIBLE customer service. I switched to Verizon the next week. How do people like her end up managers? They need to screen their people better. read more

I hate to leave bad reviews but my recent experience was awful. I had my phone stolen so went in to pick up a new one. I was talked into getting att uverse internet by Jon and he claimed I would get 2 gift cards equaling $300. I made it clear I did not need tv, we already have Directv. Basically something went wrong and I ended up being charged for uverse tv from January to March. I told Jon about this and he said he would take care of it. Did not happen. I emailed him several times and only heard back with empty promises or sometimes not hearing back at all. He also later told me the one gift card was only for the tv which I made clear I did not need and he seemed to understand at the time. Also, I ended up calling the customer service myself to get the credit for the service I never had. I was told by Jon that he would remedy the situation yet he didn't. Hours on the phone later I got the problem solved and got the credit applied to my future bills. Representatives should follow through and it did not happen. read more

Horrible and dishonest as to pricing. If you live on a budget they will not charge what was promised for monthly fees. The manager was a gal who did not know what a warranty is. The dishonesty comes in with their so called warranty which has a $255 deductible (hardly a warranty). And also their billing is creative. I was quoted approximately $140 monthly for two phones. However within a week I got a bill for over $300. I already paid 145 to take the phones home. The monthly fees are $160 dollars more than stated. They would not accept a return on the phones that I had ONE DAY. I tried to deal with them for a week and finally gathered both phones and returned to the Chippewa store. Also the phones heated up VERY HOT- no one was burned but I am telling you that they are a safety hazard. The woman manager did not give her name and told me their products are exempt from such warranties. She refused to take back the phones. She said I had to leave the store when I told her I planned to make a complaint to the Consumer Affairs Division of Missouri. I gladly left- next stop Consumer Affairs of Missouri. I will never buy any A t and t products as their policies are deceptive, and their products are dangerous. read more
