She uses a lot of pressure and different techniques like stretching that really helped open things up and relax the muscles. She has a little room with her table and water and tranquil music but it is effective and gets the job done. Tarika is, hands down, the best massage therapist I've ever been to (and I've been to many!) in terms of both working out and identifying both temporary and ongoing issues/soreness. She uses multiple tools along with manual therapy - including cupping, massage gun, and a graston tool - depending on what's needed. She'll also identify tightness/inflammation that I'm not even aware of, meaning I can tend to it before it gets worse. If you're getting to a certain age like me (40+) and are at least moderately active, I'd highly recommend going to Massosport for regular sports massage. I discovered Saida through one of the daily coupon sites, and when I left a message to schedule my first massage, it was returned promptly. Her office is directly across from the zoo and easy to find, extremely clean, and nicely decorated. And, now, on to the massage: it's fantastic. She has a very gentle touch, but can apply a lot of strength if necessary. This was further demonstrated during my second visit. In the course of unpacking/decorating after a move, I'd had a large picture frame hit me in the head and effectively give me whiplash on one side of my neck. When I woke up in pain the next morning, I called her, and she was able to fit me in for an hour the next day, a Sunday (she also had a half-hour slot the same day, but I decided to wait). She asked me relevant questions and then got to work, spending the entire time on the area in pain. I started to feel some relief immediately, and while the healing process will probably take another couple days, I have no doubt that she sped it up considerably.
