It was my first time trying Thai massage (they use their elbows, legs arms and feet and use bars on the ceiling to balance themselves as they massage you). I think I'll stick to Swedish massage because the Thai massage was a little intense for me. However, I can see how Thai massages would be great for folks who need a deep tissue massage or folks who like strong pressure. The bad: I wish they had an online booking option. They have a clear sign with the suggested and preferred amount of tip dependent on how many hours your massage was. Upon finishing the massage, the receptionist handed me the tip envelope. I didn't love how expected tips were. I had knots in my upper back that the massage therapist could feel but at the end of the session she didn't dissolve them. She tried to convince me to stay for 30 mins because "young lady"...trying to tell me its a young lady that will do it. I could understand their Chinese and that young lady didn't want to do it...dunno if she judged by looking at mr but she gave it a soft pass n retreated back. This I felt was very disrespectful. Seems she chooses her customers. I mean, you're already closed from the business hours posed (again which I didn't know..thought it was 10pm) so I don't see why they couldnt--not angry about this tho as they have the right to choose the time to do extra or cut it short. These businesses are about customer service. While I don't blame them for their hours, they should say that stuff on the phone before I get there..any culture/country has that courtesy to state things before wasting others' time. I booked a deep tissue massage, but the session consisted mostly of stretching and pressing rather than actual deep tissue work. I left feeling unsatisfied and confused, especially given the high rating of this place. I'm not sure if I just had an off experience, but based on this visit, I wouldn't return.
