Inefficient online order pickup process. Greeted by multiple associates at the register who announced to the online order pick up associate that a customer needed assistance. A young lady came over who was very polite and courteous and began collecting my information, she was told by Kim to do another task instead which was off putting for me since I had been standing there for a while already. Kim came to the pick up area, attention divided not acknowledging me nor what I what I needed. Upon return the second time, she finally asked for my information. Once given to her she asked for a photo ID and I had to go back to my car for it. The purpose of online pickup is to be faster than an in store shopping experience. The time it took standing around, getting the run around and interacting with the unprofessional associate... I could have walked in the store found my item and checked out at the register way faster as that was the only line moving efficiently with ample help. I do not plan to return to this location due to her negative attitude around me questioning why I needed an ID after presenting the name, having a barcode ready (that was never asked for) considering my name is very unique and the chances of anyone coming to get the order, on this specific day/time/at that very location, who wasn't myself or spouse, would be very random and unlikely to happen. Horrible interaction with this person. Truly lacked communication and customer service skills especially for someone in leadership. She could learn a great deal from her employees who set a way better example than she did. read more

I normally frequent this store when I visit the Homegoods in the same mall. This store has gone down hill. The isles are tiny and most of the time either not stocked or just an unorganized mess. The carts are horrible and I usually have to go through a few in order to find one that actually rolls properly. There is normally only 1-2 cashiers working on the weekend with the line 15 people deep. Don't even get me started on the bathrooms. They are absolutely disgusting EVERY SINGLE TIME I have gone in there. I recently noticed a locked employee bathroom near the customer bathrooms and I am convinced the employees just never step foot in the customer bathrooms (even to clean). Honestly the prices and the products aren't worth the hassle. Edit to add that the picture I included of the bathroom is from a Monday morning an hour after they opened...so hardly enough time for the bathroom to look this way if it is cleaned properly. read more

I really enjoyed my visit to this store! It's quite large and situated next to Sears in the Chesterfield Towne Center. The name says it all when it comes to this place. It's like a massive Home Goods (and the mall has one of those, too). I spent the bulk of my visit in their wall art section. They have so many excellent choices for reasonable prices. If I had more time, I 100% would've purchased a large turquoise tree painting. It was so pretty and would look perfect as a statement piece in my apartment. Unfortunately I was on a time crunch and needed to cut my visit short. But maybe one day I'll stop back and buy it. A couple weeks after Christmas, their holiday decor was priced at 75% off. Not too shabby. Definitely a cool spot to visit if you want to hoard dirt-cheap decorations in advance. I also enjoyed all the pretty storage options they sell. I'm on the lookout for a nice jewelry box and I feel like I need to stop back sometime to have a better look at their selection. Point being: If you want to enhance your home decor, give yourself plenty of time to browse; don't stop in directly prior to an appointment. It's a nice shop! read more

Quite a big "At Home" location anchoring the Chesterfield Town Center mall. It is located pretty close to the middle of the complex and so it's easy to get to from both within the mall and outside. The inside is extraordinarily big and it is so easy to get lost inside - but in a good way! There are so many products, furniture, etc., in a way that's much more relaxed and comfortable than say Home Depot. It may not be too great for quickly finding what you want unless you know where exactly in the massive, gigantic store it is in but if you're looking to browse and perhaps discover some new things to bring into your home then this location is certainly a great place to do so! read more

This location is huge! They currently have a large section of the store dedicated to holiday decor given that we are entering to the end of the year. They also have a really large section of frame and wall art which is exactly what brought me in today. I needed to find a larger print to hang on an empty wall in my apartment. I was actually overwhelmed with the selection as there were several aisles to choose from. One thing I wish was different is the amount of aisles that are empty or have very little. Seems kind of wasteful but like I said, it is a very big store. I've been her several times this year already and I'm sure i'll be back. read more

This place is HUGE! They have EVERYTHING for the home: furniture, wall art, area rugs, you name it! It is overwhelming, so go with a plan--either stick with shopping for just the stuff you went for, or plan to be there all day. Prices are great, but quality is not the best. read more

I love At Home! (Formerly Garden Ridge) There is so much junk in here and I LOVE junk! This is the best place to shop for seasonal decorations. The thing is, buy only the clearance items after the season is over and wait until the next year to put them on display. I have always been impressed with their bedding and pillows section. I'm a fan of At Home, but it is huge and overwhelming! I've learned that all I can take is one section at a time. When I go, I just focus on one area per visit (furniture, decor, or seasonal), not all. You could spend all day in here if you really wanted to. Their items are very reasonably priced and I've never seen the parking lot full or the store busy. I am loving all of the holiday decorations and furniture and can't wait to make my house look like Christmas threw up! read more

Garden Ridge is the warehouse version of Homegoods... it's a warehouse-style store filled with home accessories, inexpensive furniture, and general household items (mops, dustpans, etc.)... I stopped by yesterday and found it more than a little overwhelming. Half the store is devoted to Christmas right now, so if you like to decorate and are budget-conscious, this is the place to go. Beware- the prices are low because the quality is cheap. so, if you are looking for an investment piece of furniture, this isn't the place to go. But if you want to stage a house, update a room with fresh accessories, decorate for the holidays, etc. Then this is your place. My favorite part of the store was the pillow section-ROWS UPON ROWS UPON ROWS of really nice, luxe looking pillows, and most are priced at $9.99. Cheap quality and poor merchandising. The pricing structure is such that lures you in for the deal and you leave with crap you didn't need. Christmas time is the time to shop here for all those needs. Other than that its alot of junk that you don't need merchandised in a way that would confuse the person who set it up. Great selection BUT you must be owned by Walmart! 30+ people in line with full carts and 2 registers open, and it's CHRISTMAS! Needless to say my merchandise was left near the register area especially since I was there two nights earlier and there were 3 people in line and I had to wait 20 minutes! Imagine that Target, Home Goods, and a warehouse had a baby. Then multiply it by 10. Now you have Garden Ridge. Ok, so maybe the baby's a bad analogy, but seriously this store is like all of those shops combined into one huge mecca of home-wares. I don't know how I had never heard of this place until last weekend, but when a friend mentioned going I jumped at the opportunity. After all, I'm in the market for quite a few new house things but I don't have a million dollars to spend. Garden Ridge is definitely an overwhelming experience. It's one of those stores where you don't even know where to start upon entering. It's literally wall to wall goods - from decorations to furniture to candles to bedding, rugs, mirrors and more. I have been searching high and low for rugs so I was excited to peruse Garden Ridge's selection. Because of the sheer volume of rugs, they stack them according to size. Sadly, this makes it really difficult to sort through and actually look at them. I'm sure my friend and I looked pretty ridiculous hoisting rugs from pile to pile in an attempt to reach a rug halfway through the stack. We both ended up with battle wounds aka rug burns AND I didn't even buy the rug. It was definitely affordable, but not what I was looking for. Fail. I did, however, end up with two really cute ikat throw pillows that were $10 each. I've seen very similar patterns at other stores for $50. Definite win. By the end of our shopping trip I was more than ready to run the other direction and/or pull out my hair. That said, I'm sure I'll visit Garden Ridge again to stock up on holiday decorations and score inexpensive accent pieces. If I could rate a -star or zero I would! Bought some cheap ornaments here just before Christmas. I had some hesitation purchasing the items and even asked what the return policy was. The clerk assured me 60 days with my receipt. Didn't realize they were as CHEAP as they were until I opened the package. But with the rush of the season, I didn't return them until right after the holiday with the clerks remarks echoing in my head. When I did return them they only gave me 1/2 of the price, because they were "Christmas items". Despite my protest they were unwilling to make this right. I tried to call to speak to the manager but there isn't a store phone listed. They direct you to corporate who only provides a mailing address. POOR. Hopefully they take the money they took from me (and others) and educate their staff about their policies. I will never return to this store. Hope you don't either. read more
