We had such an amazing experience at the beautiful and welcoming Frisco Birth Center for both births and formed a truly special relationship with Margie that will never be forgotten. Margie is an incredibly kind, gentle, supportive, knowledgeable, and professional midwife who genuinely cares about her clients in a way that is rare in any medical setting. Throughout pregnancy, she promptly answered any questions or concerns that arose, even making herself available between visits as needed, despite her busy schedule. Our older children came with me to prenatal appointments and they adore her as much as we do! She took the time to teach them and let them get involved in finding baby's heartbeat and position, which helped them get so excited to meet their new sibling. Leading up to the birth, we had some unusual findings in one of the blood samples that were run, and she put in extra time and effort to help us find the answers we needed to feel confident in our birth plan. There was also a risk of hemorrhage, but she wisely helped us weigh all of our options before, during, and after the birth so that we could have the safe and beautiful delivery we hoped for. Margie and her assistant midwife, Neta (who is also wonderful), accurately assessed the health of both mom and baby and responded quickly and professionally to any concerns that arose, including a very fast transition and delivery and maternal bleeding. We felt completely safe and empowered throughout the entire process because of Margie's clinical skill and compassionate demeanor. Birth can be unpredictable, and we felt well-informed and supported through every decision. After the birth, her standard of excellence continued, as she made multiple home visits to check on mom and baby and helped empower us make the decisions about his health we were uncertain. We are so grateful to know Margie and would highly recommend that others make the same choice if they are looking for a kind, gentle, trustworthy, skilled, and dedicated provider who truly cares.

If you are seeking kind, compassionate, evidence-based care and an empowering out-of-hospital birth…read moreexperience, look no further than Margie Wallis and Frisco birth center! My first birth was at a hospital and after doing thorough research, I realized that I deserved better than the care that I had received and knew that I needed a different experience. For my second birth I gave birth at Allen Birthing Center which was fantastic! This third time around, I decided to do several interviews of midwives in the area. I felt an instant connection to Margie and I knew that I wanted to go with her. I was having some financial issues at the time but she allowed me to make a payment plan and get a substantial discount. She really does care about people and want to help in any way possible. If you have formerly received obstetric care, I think you'll find that out-of-hospital midwifery care is a night and day opposite experience. Obstetrics focuses mostly on the baby and is very fear-based. Margie is very holistic in her methods and believes in the woman's body's capability to birth. She knows that the mother's emotional state is just as important as what is going on with her physically. Through our appointments I let her know my goals for my birth, including my desire to birth in an upright position. She made sure that all of my wishes were respected and I obtained the ultimate birth experience that I desired! I am forever grateful for her and consider her a friend. Ladies, please don't be fearful! Our bodies were created for this. Should a hospital transfer be desired or necessary, there is always a plan B and C for those scenarios. If you are having trouble getting your husband on board, I highly recommend having him watch "The Business of Being Born." Midwifery care is actually MUCH cheaper than standard prenatal care and hospital birth. If you choose Margie to help fulfill your prenatal, postnatal and childbirth needs, you cannot go wrong! Highly recommend!!!

I have no other words but to say I tried to stay with Dr. Bailey because of her professionalism but this fourth encounter of being at least 35minutes late to an appointment and not even an iota of concern (or and apology) due to the time is sad. Moreover, the NP clearly offered me two medical procedures and did not even pay attention to my age or read my chart. I have that witnessed even though the NP attempted to write my chart up as a future medical (mind you 7 years from now). Dr. Bailey thank you for taking care of ME. TLDR: THEY FORCED ME TO GET A PAP SMEAR AT 19 YEARS OLD!…read moreThis place does not care about the consent of their patients. I've been getting my birth control prescribed from this place for 2 years. I am 19 years old and every time I have been to this place, I have not been treated well, and the staff does not communicate well at all. THEY FORCED ME TO GET A PAP SMEAR. I went in for my regular check up a few months ago to get a renewal on my birth control prescription. That was the only thing I scheduled my appointment for. I come in, they told me I had to get a "wellness check," in order to get my prescription. I told them that was fine, but that I did NOT want a pap smear because I hadn't been sexually active for over a year. My mom also coached me to tell them "no" if they wanted me to do a pap smear (but I was alone at the appointment). I told the nurse I didn't want to do a pap smear, and that my mom didn't want them to do that to me either. Well she tells me, "That's fine, we can cancel your appointment right now." Mind you, I'm already in my appointment, I've changed into the gown, she's like inspected my breasts and stuff already. I'll never forget how horrible and uncomfortable I felt when I knew that in order to get my birth control prescription that I came here for, I was going to have to have a metal device stuck up my vagina. According to the CDC website, Planned Parenthood website, and every single person and website i can find: YOU DON'T NEED A PAP SMEAR UNTIL YOU ARE 21! (unless there are extenuating circumstances). I have no STDS, unusual discharge or anything abnormal going on in my vagina. They knew this, and still forced me to go through an incredibly exposing and uncomfortable experience. I've never had a fear toward any doctors or nurses. I always trust them. But after this experience, I'm now leaving this review because months later I am still shocked and upset that they made me feel like I had to go through that. I always thought that if I had a female nurse, she is someone I can trust, be respected, and communicate with. Clearly not. I won't be coming back here and neither will my mom. This is not the OBGYN to feel safe and supported by other women.

In 2007, while undergoing fertility treatments, he found a cyst and a large benign tumor on my uterus, which he said were too large to remove from my uterus and therefore my uterus had to be removed. At that time I still had HIGH FSH & AMH levels & several good eggs left on both of my ovaries (which only had small cysts on them). I was devastated because I wanted to have more children & Dr Robbins knew this. When Dr Robbins recommended the hysterectomy, HE NEVER ONCE SUGGESTED EXTRACTING MY EGGS FROM MY OVARIES BEFORE THE HYSTERECTOMY as I could have found a Surrogate to carry my embryos, With this said, - I do believe that Dr Robbins learned a lesson from my case and he now will recommend egg extraction especially if you want children, thus making him a better doctor. Regardless & Instead of staying with Dr Robbins, and in an effort to save my uterus, I ended up going to a different ob/gyn who was also an oncologist named Allen Munoz. Alan Munoz lied to me every step of the way, including convincing me that he was going to save my reproductive system. In the end, I got a CYA letter from Dr Robbins, who bowed out, and I was Severely injured by Alan Munoz MD, during my surgery, who while rushing through my hysterectomy so that he could get to the airport to get on an early plane to NY, severed my right ureter and closed me up without performing the dye test to see if he had nicked or cut either one of my ureters. OVer the next week while Munoz was off in NY, MY BODY CAVITY FILLED UP WITH TOXIC URINE! When my organs started shutting down & I got a pneumonia the head of Medical City Hospital intervened, Munoz was kicked off my case, & they found the injury. I then underwent several surgeries & procedures to save my life & my right Kidney. Alan Munoz MD caused me several years of pain and suffering from the injury which resulted from his negligence, and now ive had many years of residual reoccurring illnesses. In the end, I should've listened to Dr. Robbins and had the hysterectomy done by him. I could say more but I wont. - HOWEVER, what I will say this: BEWARE! And in my opinion, don't have any surgical procedures done unless you trust your instincts, consult with a lawyer first and, before the surgery, WRITE DOWN EVERY ONE OF YOUR DESIRES & AGREEMENTS THAT YOU HAD WITH YOUR DOCTOR ALL OVER THE CONSENT FORMS!! AND, If your doctor refuses to perform your surgery when you have placed your comments and agreements on the consent form, you may want to rethink things, think long and hard about having the procedure done & about your doctor.

At my visit on January 23, 2025, I was overcharged $20 for my co-pay. Once I received my explanation of benefits confirming my co-pay should have only been $20, I reached out to the billing manager multiple times to request a refund. Instead of processing my refund, the billing manager kept putting me off, telling me to call back, and claiming they wouldn't issue a refund until they were paid by my insurance. I followed up with my insurance company today and confirmed that a check was sent to them on January 31st--meaning they had already been paid but still refused to return my overpayment. This level of dishonesty and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If they are willing to mislead a patient and drag their feet over something as small as a $20 overpayment, I can only imagine how they handle more significant billing issues. While I had no issues with the medical care itself and really liked Dr. Chowdhury, the way their billing department operates is unethical. I don't feel comfortable continuing care at a practice that doesn't handle patient payments with integrity. If you choose to go here, triple-check your billing statements and be prepared to fight for your money--and possibly never get it back unless you take legal action. It's been two months now, and I'm done chasing down $20, but they have definitely lost a loyal patient. In addition to this review, I did file a billing complaint with the Texas Medical Board and if you have experienced billing issues with this provider, I would encourage you to do the same.
