It is in an office building but it's not noisy at all. She has a location in the back so you forget offices are around you. She always asks if I want her to focus on any particular areas and actually does that. Shu also offers different techniques so just ask. Honestly, its more quiet than most spas I have been too. You don't hear people talking in other rooms or walking down a hallway. As for the massage, the pressure is perfect for me. If she needs to go deeper, she does. If a place is more sensitive she is cautious of it. She really listens to your feedback. I enjoy the hot towels and heating pads. Another thing I have been impressed with is how she handled COVID. She keeps a very clean room. Its only you at your appointment time which makes me feel comfortable. She is very cautious for her clients health. Which I appreciate. The work done on my arms, wrists and hands was the most helpful treatment I have received. I had previously seen two hand specialists who both took x-rays and told me I had arthritis. One recommended bracing and NSAIDS and the other recommended an NSAID cream. Both told me there was nothing to be done other than to learn accommodations. My hands were indeed sore the day after treatment - however, much improved. The frozen joint on the left thumb has improved motion. I braced both thumbs and wrists before going to bed as recommenced. I'm doing corporal tunnel stretching exercises and stress ball flexing to begin restoring strength. I'm very pleased with this and will continue treatments with the expectation of additional improvement of function and reduction of pain. What others failed to do was to give me some agency. I was advised to learn to live with it. What I needed was direction on how to retain flexibility and regain hand strength. With Phoebe's help, I believe I can do this.

Every visit she offers great advice and additional education on why your muscles are tense. An hour runs $80, but to date, my entire appointment (entering the office to starting my car) has run 90 minutes (we spend only a few minutes each week catching up on any trouble spots and general updates). Everyone said that it's just a bad area for allergies. But over three in a half years, his allergies became so bad our son couldn't be outside for more than thirty minutes. If he was, he'd be in bed for hours with blinding headaches. I can't even tell you how helpless I felt as a mom. My son was in bed almost every day, and nothing helped. We went to specialists, tried drops, over the counter solutions, you name it...we tried it. He only got worse. Someone referred us to Dr ChuNa and said their son had similar issues that she was able to help. I was at a dead end, praying for God to help us in some way. What did I have to lose? My son and I both went to see her with low expectations. I remember my son even saying that he couldn't get his hopes up any more. I came to see her a few days after Memorial Day, after a particularly stressful and distressing week. I also had stiffness and pain from sitting/sleeping in bad positions. Thus, I chose the 90 Minutes Massage. I'm SO glad I did. First, I appreciate the organized and succinct website. ALL important information is there, including Name, Phone, Address, Experience, Types of Massages, Pricing, and Acceptable Forms of Payment. I don't like digging around for that information, and it made booking my appoint easier. Second, Kim is a sole proprietor (as a previous reviewer mentions). I prefer small boutique spas and massages from independent masseuses. I always felt rushed the few times I attended a chain massage spa, but Kim gives you the FULL time for your massage. The room is very clean, with fresh linens, and no clutter. Kim is very warm and friendly. She obviously enjoys what she does, helping people feel better. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Third, the massage room has wonderful ambience. I love purple, so I was thrilled to see purple lights, and purple touches everywhere. The music is also very relaxing, not too loud or too soft. I think Kim is also blessed with a soothing voice, so that helps the overall mood, too. :-) And last, the 90 Minute Massage is one of the best I've had in a long time. What I like about Kim, is that she customizes her massage using various techniques. I felt her switch techniques when she came across a particularly large knot. Most importantly, she listens to you, if you need her to go deeper or harder, or stop if you feel any pain. I woke up with a little soreness, but no pain at all. The 90 Minute Massage includes Stretching. As someone who has done physical therapy for my knee, the Stretching really helped loosen tightness all over, especially my Achilles heels, hips, and IT band. I also want to mention that I have very sensitive skin, and I did not have any adverse reaction to the massage oil used. I almost cried in relief, when my massage was over. While it takes more than one session to get rid of all the knots, I feel normal again. I can't thank Kim enough. I highly recommend the 90 Minutes Massage for the Stretching alone.

The atmosphere felt pretty standard, nothing upscale or memorable, and there were no extra touches that would justify the high cost. For the amount charged, I expected exceptional service, attention to detail, and an overall elevated experience. Instead, it felt like I paid premium pricing for a very basic massage. There are plenty of other places in Plano offering similar or better quality for significantly less. I don't mind paying more when it's worth it -- but this absolutely wasn't. Would not return.
