I came here to take an exam in the Roebbelen Center. Parking is $15 - cash or card. There are plenty of parking spots though I recommend parking in the area close to the exit. Otherwise, leaving the parking lot at the end of an event will take forever due to traffic and congestion. There are two sets of men/women restrooms inside the building. They were clean and fully stocked. The tables were spacious for the occasion (testing for hundreds of adults). The chairs were plastic folding chairs. So if you're coming here for a long exam, I highly recommend bringing a seat cushion or pillow to help with comfort. read more

Huge gym for high school sports. It's runs like a well oiled machine. Lots of parking and you will have to pay to park in their parking lot. The gym is clean and several teams can play at the same time. It's in Roseville so it's a bit of a drive for me. read more

Attended an event and the temporary flooring was not securely put down causing my foot to get caught under the carpet tape causing me to have a bad fall. I've been trying to have the venue look at the video footage in an effort to correct for future events and I have not heard back from them. I understand it was a contracted event and they will not accept liability but they need to accept accountability as it was their team that put the flooring down. If their team continues to not do a good job in preparing their events It will only lead to more accidents. read more

Parking fees are outrageous and so is admission to watch your friend, child or grandchild play in a tournament. On top of that, seating is limited and you can't bring your own chair For two of our games, the bleachers were filled up by a team that was between games so there was no where for family and friends to sit. Standing room is very limited. A spectator using a walker and a pregnant mother had to stand to watch the game. When we asked for help dealing with the team sitting in the bleachers, leaving us no where to sit, we were ignored and things got heated. Girls that play volleyball have to come early and stay late to officiate games so they often drive separately from their family and they have to pay to park. These kids often work part time jobs and have limited resources so forcing them to pay to park it outrageous. Avoid this venue as all they care about is filling our restaurants and roads with visitors to line their pockets. p.s. Maybe if you only took credit cards for parking, you might be able to charge less for parking as your staff are stealing from you! read more

We've stayed in the RV Park on multiple occasions. The maximum stay is 28 nights followed by leaving for a minimum of 3 nights. The grounds themselves are safe and pleasant to walk and there are many events (not included). With the exception of large crowds on some days, NASCAR and indoor and outdoor concert days allowed to go until about 10PM the place is quiet. They have WiFi and sometimes a working portal for internet access. You get full hookups (sewer hose correction has no threads) a dumpster and access to the outside grounds. The staff outside the office are friendly and know how to deal with the public. Some are exceptional and include Jeff, Andrew (moved on), Clinton, Carter (moved on), Dillon (moved on), Tim, and Steve. Based on my interactions in the office and those of many others that have stayed here the interactions in the office could use tweaking. read more

This Facility worker harassed and threatened me. I was there with our Volleyball team, paid for parking all three days $45. Had my EV plugged in on the racetrack side like always. He unplugged my car. When I came out, he pulled up and said next time my car would be towed. I asked why? He said because no free charging, I pointed out. There's probably 100 cell phones plugged in inside the event. He said that's different and got belligerent with me. I asked him who he worked for he said don't worry about it. Walked up on me like he was gonna start a fight with me, The only thing that stopped him was the fact that I was recording. He left but came back and took pictures of me while I was sitting in my car. I got out and asked him to get his supervisor and to get Security. He refused and drove away in his buggy. Cool place for youth basketball and baseball. Parking comes at a fee. Entry fees as well. Restrooms were clean. Food selection was nice with food trucks setup outside. There's a cafe inside. The courts were all in nice shape. The nets for volleyball are set up a little messy. The need to be more tight so play can happen off the net. Our first time at the newly remodeled Placer County Fair grounds. The Grounds, what we saw looked very nice, New and clean. Every staff member we talked with was very nice. We arrived late after work. We were there to see the Spazmatics perform. We were hoping to go earlier to enjoy more of the other fair attractions. But we only saw the Spazmatics and ordered a beer. The beer, bar and restrooms were located in close locations to the stage. They had tables and chairs out, would of been nice to have few more. But people also needed space to dance. They had a good amount of space for dancing which was very nice! Hopefully they have The Spazmatics back again soon! read more

My second time visiting the grounds and attending an event. I attended the same event of the Home and Garden show roughly about four years ago. For this particular event, I could say that a lot more options of Tiny Homes are available and possibly a few more food vendors as well. The grounds seem to have been kept up nicely. I like how they have what seem to be a dog relieving area to me. I noticed a red fire hydrant and not too far from that was a dog statue so I'm assuming. Nice to see this is another dog friendly location as well. I also noticed a few other activities that could be held in one of their buildings whether it's large sporting events or possibly Jim family events. We did pay for parking during this cigar event, so I'm guessing they probably charge parking for any event that they do have at the location being held. Overall, great spot to have events read more

Came here for the Placer County Fair. Parking was $10. Adult admission was $8. There was a good amount of food stands. We got a snow cone, doughnut, corn dog, and churro. Everything was delicious. There's a small play area for the kiddos, rides, and carnival games. It's an enjoyable experience, but much smaller than the State Fair in Sacramento. As adults, I'd say expect to spend 1-2 hours here. Note for the COVID conscious: No one was wearing masks or distancing in lines. Condiments and snow cone syrup are at self-serve common areas. A very small event center that charges way too much for parking for their events. Came here for a few gem/jewelry shows and was disappointed about how small scale everything is. (I guess I'm too used to Bay Area shows). I don't mind if a show is small, but I think it's unnecessary for such a small venue to charge so much for parking. Recently my mom was visiting and I had commented that there was a Placer County Fair going on. She remembered the fun times we had at the San Mateo County Fair and Orange County/LA County Fairs in the past and said she'd like to check it out. I figured it would be tiny, given how small this place is, but at least it'd be fun to walk around and get some fair food, right? We paid $10 for parking. Then we paid $17 for admission ($7 adults, $3 seniors). Gees, $27 just to get IN to the fair?! Oh well, we gotta support our county, right? Now we wouldn't have minded paying so much if it was great or even good. Instead, we walk into the fairground and we're met by a bunch of tents set up by local businesses. Understandably, they're out to get more customers but we totally felt like sheep walking among wolves. My husband made the mistake of engaging in conversation with the first tent and as we continued walking, she ends up chasing down my husband to try to get his business. Seriously? We're paying $27 to be hounded by companies? We walk around for a few minutes and then go, wait, that's it?! So we figure, okay, well we're here, let's get some fair food. We're not even that picky with fair food but nothing looked even remotely appetizing. Everyone around us looked bored and hot (it was pretty warm). We wanted to spend some money for something yummy but given the lack of many choices, we weren't able to find anything. Talk about disappointing. As we walked around to make sure there wasn't another aisle or building that we had accidentally missed (we didn't), my mom turns to me and says in another language, "We got tricked." (Or I guess it'd be better translated, "We fell for it.") On our way out, we had to maneuver our way around that first tent so my husband wouldn't get hounded by that loud woman again. Turns out she was standing under the tree smoking, so we didn't have to worry after all. The high point: We got a cute free ruler and chapstick from iFLY and another company--I think T-Mobile. Yay, we love free swag. While I'm all for supporting our county and even a small-scale fair, guests should not be made to feel like they were ripped off. For such a small fair, at least charge less for parking. Or admission. I feel bad for families that paid so much to get in and then have to pay for tickets for rides, etc. Unless they start charging less or move to a bigger venue and do something drastically different, the Placer County Fair is TOTALLY not worth it. If I could give it zero stars I would. We were here for a girls wrestling tournament, and it was absolutely disgusting how they treated these athletes and their families. These girls and their families wake up at 5am to be at the auditorium and then were being harassed by the security guard because no food or water was allowed( not even the lobby) a lot of these girls fast 12 plus hours to make weight the next morning. They had grown men confiscating Gatorade from 15/16 year old girls. read more

Horrible area for Handicap Accessibiltiy if crowded with events. Attended the Lego Brick Palooza 11/12/22. Sadly, it was booked the same day as a High School Cheerleading competition. My son is in a wheelchair and we need space to unload the ramp. There were no handicap spots available so I had to unload him near the front where the stairs are and I had to find parking which was far away in the rocky dirt area. Sucks but no handicap spots happens many times. My big issue is what happened after. When it was time for us to leave the event, I left him in the front area and walked to wear the my car was parked. (Rocky Dirt Area) By this point, everyone from the Cheerleading competition was leaving and going in one direction. There was so many blocked areas from cones and I couldn't get through to back to my son. I was so far away, I was near where the parking attendants were collecting money. They kept waiving at me to go out the area where I would have to leave the parking lot entirely and come back in. (That would take 20 minutes and they would probably charge me to get back in.) I explained my situation to the parking lady, and she said, "Then go back to the area. Drive. there." I explained that all cars were leaving and the cones were blocking in. She looked at me stupidly and said, "just drive back to the front." At this point, I just threw some cones out of the way and drove back to pick up my child who was waiting 15 minutes already. read more

It's always great to try a new place and see all the old county fair places repurposed. We came here for a volleyball tournament and they had one single line to pay, with one attendant. $10.00 cash only. I can handle the $10.00, but really, one line and cash only. It's 2020. Our team was supposed to be on the court by 7:15 am but our coach was still lined up blocking the intersection and into the public streets. The single woman attendant was not only collecting lots of cash alone, but was stressed out. She did have a great attitude but said she was stressed by the line. The parking lot was very nice and the outside of the facility very clean and fresh. We got to the line to go in, only to find out it was quicker to pay there, then to prepay online like we did. The online prepay made you stand in a line to get to a booth to then get scanned by one person and then have your hand stamped by the same person. Pay at the door was 10x faster. The inside of the facility is amazing. The place is one of the nicest ever to host a VB tournament. They do have bleachers for spectators but definitely not enough. People have to stand and no personal pop up chairs aloud. Awesome bathroom and a beautiful wood floor for volleyball and basketball. It's new so I will cut them some slack, but they just need to be prepared for big crowds. read more

They only have 2 parking attendants collecting the $10 rate. Lanes backs up t to the street. They need more attendants! Here for volleyball games and tons of girls leaving their cars to run to their court. They need to staff up!!!! (I get not on to the court) even though there were tables FULL of food. Additionally, we were told we couldn't sit in the floor next to our table! What was that about? Don't believe it if: 1) They say there is RV parking and hookups. Actually what is there is one "manager" on the take who lives there and a bunch of other people who live there, which leaves no space for travelers to actually get in. They get around this by saying it's "first come first serve". So the first came, like months and years ago, set up, put out fences, steps, couches, etc. Yeah, they live there. Count on boon docking at the Thunder Valley Casino. The RV parking is across the street from the big building. Park in the back near the water reclamation plant and call the casino for a 3-day pass. Bring your generator and plenty of water. 2) They say the exhibit hall is air conditioned. It isn't. It's swamp cooled, and "cooled" is a loose term. They charge organizations an extra $250 to rent their lovely "remodeled" hall with fake A/C. The whole thing is a scam. Whoever is running this place must be a bunch of ex carny people because all they want to do is get money for nothing and line their pockets first. read more

Wish I had read reviews before going to Gemfaire this weekend. As I drove up I was disappointed to see a parking attendant at the gate collecting a fee. I thought $5 tops. Wrong. I was so shocked when she said $10. I apologized to her that I know it's not her idea to charge such a ridiculous fee to park there but we had already bought our tickets to go to the event so we sucked it up Should have blown off the admission tickets $3 each and saved the $10. I remember coming here as a kid going to the fair my dad lived right behind them and he still does we use to love coming to the fair and going on the rides the food is so good at the fair they have lots of fun rides to go on while you are here the fair is not here very long when they come in to town but I used to love going on the bumper cars and the Ferris wheel this is a place for the whole family to enjoy they have kids rides here and the adults can even enjoy the rides here to this is definitely a fun choice to enjoy while it is in town this is a very friendly staff very clean atmosphere very clean restrooms very clean establishment I highly recommend checking them out next time they are in town very fun experience for the family and kids lots of memories to be made I look forward to my next visit next time they are in town read more

Independence Day fireworks were disjointed and 'different. Attendance was great, lots of cars working there way into the parking lot. About 9:25 a few fireworks started popping off at the north end of the arena. One pop, then a pause, then another pop, then another pause, and a group of 2-3 fireworks. Then the announcer came on and said that "the fireworks show would follow this." After about 15 minutes of the amateur show, the actual, professional- grade show was great Then came the exit of thousands of cars through the one gate! I looked out over the sea of brake lights and decided to sit and wait for the crowd to thin out before I even started the engine. The car that was in front of me sat there, stationary, engine running for OVER 30 minutes before he was able to move forward! Parking lot planning must have been done by an 8 year old. We always attend the Mes Amis Vintage Show here at this Event Center. It has lots of parking, centrally located in old Roseville. It's an older venue, nothing fancy, but it works. It's always clean and well maintained. read more

I came here last summer with my boyfriend. I almost passed out from doing so much walking in the heat! I felt so bad for the animals. If we hadn't had bought a lemonade, I'm sure I would have passed out. My boyfriend and I just walked around for a bit (there wasn't much to see) and he bought some BBQ supplies for his stepdad. Seasonings, sauces, etc. The samples that we tried were pretty good so I'm guessing the sauces and seasonings were a good buy. We probably won't come back this year. It is tiny and HOT. It was 110 the day we were there. All I could do is grab a beer and sit in the shade. Everything was way too hot. Those poor 4-H animals.
