The venue for the game was good. There were a fair number of spectators, but it wasn't crowded. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Concessions was good - about normal prices for the items, and it was well stocked. Everyone I encountered there was very friendly and helpful with directions. It is a beautiful campus. Even in the snow.

He wants to be an auto mechanic and the school reached out immediately for a meet/greet. He has completed his finacial aide for Fall and also taking a few intro- classes. The communication is tailoered to the students, along with text alerts for meetings, student engagements, social gatherings! If you're not familiar (I wasn't) Excel is the non traditional education arm of Goodwill Kentucky. This campus focuses on empowering people who were not able to complete high school for whatever reason to come back and get their high school diploma as non-traditional students. The campus is light, fresh, airy. They have a daycare on-site, a cafeteria and wellness room, coaches to help you figure out any barriers between you and your diploma, and teachers ready to teach the subjects you need to get to your goals. I got to meet some faculty and administration and see students coming in and out of class. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and full of energy. The last thing that was asked at the end of our tour was - please tell the people you know that we are here and ready to help new students. So, here I am. There are informational sessions regularly and new classes start every 8 weeks. If you (or someone you know) are looking to make a new professional path for yourself and getting your high school diploma is a big step to get there, reach out to this center.

I never found out. Then there is a whole other table for drinks where you have to buy a ticket for, which didn't concern me because I just had water. I got the fish with rye bread and tartar sauce. My side was mac and cheese and I tried a couple of my friends fries. Everything was hot and fresh although taste was lacking. The fish was pretty bland and the mac and cheese was so yummy looking in the pan, very thick and cheesy, but it hardened in my bowl and was pretty flat overall. Also we got there early which was a good idea because 5 minutes after we sat down a huge wave of people arrived and the dining room filled up to capacity. It was a long wait and when I finally got to the end I realized why. There were two ladies at checkout and one only took cards and the other only took cash. The cash lady was sitting there with nothing to do because everyone was paying by card. It should have been that both people took cards but only one would also take cash. It would have sped things up considerably. Also there were some items that you had to stand in a whole other line to get, which was fine but I was tired of waiting so I didnt go over to see what was offered there. In any case I got a fish sandwich (good thickness, decent flavor), a slice of cheese pizza (basic, what you would expect) and fries (probably the best thing which was a little sad since those were definitely pre packaged). Would I come back? Yeah probably, the people watching was immaculate (so many drunk people at 5pm?) and I might go to the other line next time because it was shorter. Oh and bring CASH.

I found myself in a predicament…read more Sexy Beast had this ridiculous high school reunion coming up and he'd been bragging about being married to a bombshell for years. Most of the time, he's an honest man. In this case, I felt compelled to help him be able to defend that statement in a courtroom. However, I am not the sort of woman who concerns herself much with acrylic nails or makeup so I forgot to book appointments anywhere. I was reminded that I needed a good scrub and spackle a couple of days before the event and panicked. Fortunately, the people who care very much about this kind of stuff were happy to help me. In fact, they're all investing in careers in that stuff right here in this building. I called, explained what I needed, they told me when to show up, and I got done up. Now, I was a little *overdone* but that was my fault. I had no idea what to request. I looked amazing, though. Be sure to allow *plenty* of time. These are students and they are learning so they may need lots of extra time to complete the task. It also might really help to be clear about what you want.

Periodically I return to campus for presentations offered by the business school. I'll speak from the most recent experience and as a parent. The school offers several opportunities to visit and tour. Some drawl large crowds and others are smaller. The website also shares a ton of information about their degrees, housing, dining plans, etc. Applying is easy and our response from UL regarding admission was quick. My son also learned about scholarships quickly and this was amazing, especially compared to others that took so long to say yes or no. There's a lot of organizations to choose from as well as sporting teams. Tuition includes a gym membership and two are on campus. Dining plans are required based on living on campus or being a commuter. Parking passes are needed - buy them as soon as the option opens. Certain lots go quickly. Housing brings the most anxiety. Please pay the deposit to sign up early. It puts you in line to select. Belknap South and North are designated for freshman. My son stayed here and is now a RA there. Some dorms are better than others -- do your research. First year students are required to be on campus, but if you are local or have circumstances that qualify, you can be excused. Students miss a lot of things they have access to - health and mental services, disability resource center, honors program, learning abroad events, scholarships, and campus roles like student government. Follow all the groups on social media to stay in the know. Greek Life is active here for all groups. Recruitment starts early when classes kick off. So much more to say - and thankful for my time and degree from business school. I immediately used my Marketing degree upon graduation. Don't consider UL a "no" because you're local. It's full of amazing programs and people.
