When I finally got through almost a month later, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about, and suddenly they were full and the wait list was over a year long. Maybe they are great once you get in, but trying to even get through has been a giant hassle.

I researched a few places for my son to get tutoring and this seemed to be the most reasonably…read morepriced in my area. They offer tutoring for math and reading for $125/130 per subject. If you choose to do both subjects, you get a discount. One thing I did not know is that it is a 6 month commitment. You do not get the option of weekly or monthly tutoring, because 6 months of your time as well as your child's time to commit to the tutoring. They days for this location are on Wednesday and Saturdays. They are opened for about 4-5 hours during those times. They encourage you to come at specific times, but you are able to come whenever you can during those times. They offer a free assessment to determining where your child is academically. If you agree, you can sign up and get started. They provide you child with a pouch of work for them to complete each day. Each work comes with an answer book to help you help your child with their tutoring. When they return to tutoring they check their work and go over the ones they have problems with. If they are still having problems they have to repeat the work over. In order to move up a level, they take a test to determine if they are able to move up. One thing I wish they did was help with homework. They focus on the materials they have. There were some days that my son was finished with their assignments early and it would've helped if they were able to help with that his homework from school. On top of homework and Kumon work it can be overwhelming. Overall, it was a good investment, his teachers noticed improvement in his reading and math. If you are going to do it, just know it is a commitment from parents and children.
