The program requires a large payment upfront covering training toward black belt, but there are also additional charges each time a child tests for or receives a new belt. Because of the way the program is structured, I felt there was constant pressure to move the kids to the next belt very quickly. As a parent, I would rather see my child spend more time developing proper technique, discipline, confidence, and earning each belt based on skill--not feel rushed through the belt system while continuing to pay additional belt/testing fees. I strongly recommend that parents ask for a complete breakdown of all upfront costs, belt-testing fees, and how long students normally train at each belt level before enrolling.
