What stands out most is the balance between structured martial arts instruction and practical self-defense training. The instructors focus heavily on fundamentals such as stances, forms, and technique but they also incorporate realistic sparring and situational drills that help students understand how techniques apply in real life situations. For kids, the classes are especially well designed. The instructors manage to keep the training disciplined and structured while still making it enjoyable. There are drills, games, and partner activities that build coordination, confidence, and teamwork. The kids stay engaged, but they're also learning respect, focus, and self control along the way. Another thing I appreciate is that the instructors pay attention to each student's development rather than rushing through belt promotions. They emphasize proper technique, consistency, and attitude. You can tell the goal is long-term growth, not just quick advancement. Overall, UNT Taekwondo offers a solid combination of traditional martial arts training, practical application, and an environment that keeps kids motivated. It's a place where students not only improve physically but also develop discipline and confidence that carries over into everyday life.

Master Rigg is incredibly patient and wonderful with all of the kids. He takes the time to teach them in a way they can understand for their age group and makes sure they actually understand what they're doing instead of just going through the motions. You can truly tell that he cares about helping each child learn, grow, and build confidence. Master Mary is also incredible! She is so patient, kind, and caring, and you can tell that she genuinely cares about every child who attends class. She creates such a positive environment and makes the kids feel comfortable while still encouraging them to do their best. Instructor Ari has been such a wonderful addition as well. She absolutely adores our son and treats him so well. She is incredibly patient with him and with all of the kids, always showing them respect, compassion, and encouragement. We are so thankful we found Action Martial Arts. The instructors truly care about the kids, and that makes such a difference. We highly recommend Action Martial Arts to any parent looking for a place where their child can learn Tae Kwon Do while also building confidence, discipline, and great relationships with their instructors!

Not only has he developed impressive martial arts skills, but his self-esteem has soared. Initially, language was a barrier for Hector, but the instructors at Taekwondo AMA warmly welcomed him. Their support and encouragement helped him overcome obstacles, enabling him to progress. Master Rigg, in particular, has been an incredible mentor, almost like family to Hector. Now, seeing my son, who began as a little Dragon, proudly wearing a blue belt is truly inspiring. I highly recommend Taekwondo AMA Martial Arts for their dedication to nurturing young talents and creating a supportive environment for every student's growth. I want to start out by thanking Master Shin for all he has done for my son. Ever since my child…read morestarted learning taekwondo, we have only seen improvement. Shy and lacking confidence, we set out to look for a martial arts that would help him come out of his shell. We've been to various martial arts schools to watch family members tests. But, what we found different about US taekwondo center was the environment! When we went in, we found that there were no mirrors! instead, there are encouraging posters on the wall. We believe this is a great way to build Better focus! The school is always clean and the colors really bring you in. When we first met master shin, we only got good vibes from him. We started off with the free trial session, and right away we noticed a difference in our son. We were shocked that he was able to bring out a yelling champion in our son, who gets very timid in new environments! When we tell him it's time for taekwondo, he gets super excited and is pumped for a work out. Our son has shown much improvement in fitness, confidence, and respect at home. Thank you master shin! We always recommend US taekwondo center to our friends and family. Take advantage of the free trial class, and just try it out. Trust me, you'll see a difference just from the first class. Thanks again, master shin!

The program requires a large payment upfront covering training toward black belt, but there are also additional charges each time a child tests for or receives a new belt. Because of the way the program is structured, I felt there was constant pressure to move the kids to the next belt very quickly. As a parent, I would rather see my child spend more time developing proper technique, discipline, confidence, and earning each belt based on skill--not feel rushed through the belt system while continuing to pay additional belt/testing fees. I strongly recommend that parents ask for a complete breakdown of all upfront costs, belt-testing fees, and how long students normally train at each belt level before enrolling.
