The staff I always work with says they will have a look and get back to me. They call a few hours later telling me that my engine has knocking and it's totaled. It will cost $10,000 to repair and my car isn't even worth that amount and immediately asks me if I want to scrap my car, where's my title? Is it a paper or digital? There was no discussion about fixing it or anything else about what happened to it. Mind you, 3 months earlier i had spent around $2500 with this garage on fixing things on my car. Now this?! I'm devastated. I had just taken a loan out on this car and the bank officially owned it so I call my bank and let them know the situation. The banks car repo guy calls me back and asks, how well do I know this garage? I thought well. He tells me to take it somewhere else and get a 2nd opinion. Thank god for the bank repo guy because now my car is fixed and I didn't have to buy a new engine. I feel like I was being pressured to let go of my car so they could scrap it for parts. This is incredibly unethical and shocking to have had what I thought was a great relationship for so many years.
