When I went to the doctor he put me in a cast for 4 weeks and said I was to be non-weight bearing for the same time. Needless to say, his treatment was a game changer for me. I was panicked at my new life station. How was I going to get around campus to my job? How was I going to get into my house? Crutches just would not work for me. I am far to clumsy for crutches. My doctor told me about Criticare and so I went there looking for a knee scooter. They fixed me up in no time at all. They showed me how to use the scooter and get on my merry way. The scooter was terrific. A week after I had the scooter, I had another little spill when I had to swerve to miss someone who stepped in my way. The scooter wheel alignment was off so I took it back to Criticare for what I thought would be a quick repair. I was wrong... there was no quick work around for this issue. They were going to have to keep the scooter to fix. The problem was they did not have a replacement scooter. They were all rented out. I panicked because there was no way for me to get from Point A to Point B without this device. Criticare offered all sorts of alternatives, they looked high and low for a replacement. When they realized they did not have another scooter, they called a competitor to find a scooter for me. They reserved it in my name and gave me directions to the other store. I could not believe how kind and generous they were to me. Not many businesses would send you to a competitor. I was overwhelmed. The staff is top rate and so very caring. They do everything possible to get you comfortable and to find the right product for you. When other customers came in for service, you could tell they formed a personal relationship with the customer. They were friendly and remembered details about the customers. One of the staff members said to me, "I remember you! You were here a week ago, weren't you, Tracy?" She was spot on. Great place and wide selection of materials.

I went into KC Home Medical Security looking for some direction to get this fixed. Steve helped troubleshoot the problem and found out that the device was under warranty. He coordinated with the company and got me a brand new device within a week! Great customer service, great communication along the way and I didn't even buy the product from them to begin with! They even delivered a wheelchair on a Saturday when that is clearly outside their standard delivery hours. A week later, when we determined the first wheelchair wasn't quite right (no fault of KC Home Medical), they refunded me the week's rental without my even asking and got a new chair out to my dad within a few hours. They won't stand behind the products they sell as a distributor but instead will tell you to talk with the manufacturer. Nor will they replace any product they sell that is defective or give refunds. They have no way of talking with upper management, as in they have an email but I was told by the pharmacy manager it's unmonitored. Basic business works as the pharmacy is the distributor they buy from the manufacturer. If my product is defective or broke I contact the distributor for a replacement or my money back and the distributor contacts the manufacturer about the quality and money recouped. But Roger's will hold no responsibility. Not a very good business practice.

My husband was very taken back and I'm surprised he didn't tell her to shove them where the sun don't shine. If KexRx portrays itself as a friendly hometown pharmacy I think something has changed since that statement was made. I get the same medicine monthly-- it was time for my refill and I dropped the paper prescription off to them. I gave them three days to pick it up, they said they did not have it in stock. (A phone call would have been nice or even a heads up when I dropped of my written prescription that you didn't have it in stock so I could have taken it elsewhere to get it filled) I would have to wait an additional 4 days due to the holiday. (This is a medicine I could not go without) I asked for my paper prescription back and I took it elsewhere. When the other pharmacy tried filling it, the insurance said Kex Rx had already filled my order..... Hmmm what?!? No!!! It was such a headache. I questioned the new pharmacy why would Kex Rx run my insurance knowing they didn't have the medicine??? I went back and got all of my paper prescriptions they had on file to take them elsewhere.... They were not as friendly to me thereafter!
