I was warned that a new dress would be cheaper, but I didn't want to risk it not arriving in time or the sizing still being not quite right. It was well worth the cost to have the dress fit perfectly. Oksana instantly saw the problems and got to work when I arrived at her shop. It took 45 minutes for her to pin everything in place, and I really appreciated her thoroughness and focus. In the end she had to hem it and take it in significantly at the waist and under the arms, which involved multiple layers of different fabrics, removal and reapplication lace appliques and an attached belt, and reshaping the entire top. She priced out each individual alteration so I knew exactly how much it would cost for each step. The turnaround time was very fast for how much work she had to do and how busy her shop is, and when I came back to try it on it was perfect. I received many compliments and plan on wearing it to future formal events.

That being said, finding yourself a solid tailor can be tricky, but rest assured - this place will take care of you. I've brought numerous slacks, shirts and pants to this store for alterations, and have yet to be disappointed. The owners are skillful and friendly, and will breathe new life into old pieces that have been sitting in your closet. I've even had a few pairs of old jeans tailored - after the alteration they looked like pants that sell for 2 or three times as much at retailers. Pricing is decent. About $20 for an inseam and hem (shirts and pants), and $10 for just a hem. I'm sure you can find some place for less but you'll definitely lose quality. Word of caution: make sure you know EXACTLY what you want regarding the fit. The owners don't speak the best English and have a more "traditional" sense of style.

I picked them up and they were discolored but I thought I could use a suede brush to smooth them out. Then when I got home I tried them on and they did not fit they shrunk to a point where they are uncomfortable. They fit me fine before so I took them back today to ask them what happened and she said that it wasn't my fault but it also was not their fault I asked her if magic caused them to shrink and she said yes. I asked for the owner's phone number and she refused to provide it to me. I told her that I would be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau and she didn't seem to care. I was also not offered a refund. They also refused to file an insurance claim. Don't clean your Uggs and don't go to this place.
