Unfortunately I did not have a good experience having my clothes tailored at Cindy's. The first time, I had a pair of pants taken in at the waist. The stitching was incomplete and caused a small hole where the seams were supposed to merge. I ended up having to sew the hole closed myself. The second time, I had a pair of jeans taken in at the waist (back seam). It wasn't until I got home that I realized the back seam was sewn together in a way that made the back pockets uneven. The alteration also caused dimpling where the alternation ended and the original seam began, giving the backside a weird shape. Now I have to go to another tailor to get the jeans fixed. I will not be returning here in the future and would not recommend this business for alterations. read more

They lost my pants, and they said they could only refund what I had paid for tailoring. Brought in a suit for alterations, when I brought the suit home I found the pants were missing. I went back that day and informed them and they looked but couldn't find them, so I double checked everywhere I had been and gave them more time to look. I came back the next day after searching and not finding the pants and they hadn't found them either. I was only offered refund on the tailoring, no compensation for the lost pants. read more

Cindy's is actually owned and run by an Arabic tailor, and is a great option for simple alterations. For $25 I had a dress hemmed here, a satin number with two layers that I didn't trust myself to hem at home. The tailor did a great job (though he made sure to tell me I had to lose weight before I could really wear it- HOW RUDE) and he did it in about a week. I've since gotten several pairs of work pants hemmed there and cleaned as well, and he did a nice job on those too. He has several dressing rooms available so you can try clothing on, and he does each pant leg individually (instead of trying to shortcut and base the second pant leg on the first)... While I like this place, their hours are incredibly inconvenient, I wish they were open before 9am or later in the evening. I also think the pricing for cleaning clothing is a bit high- when I took a bunch of pants in to be cleaned and altered, it cost me over $100 because the cleaning cost as much as the alterations! So beware- definitely good to get alterations done here, but I wouldn't bother having clothing cleaned here... for the same price or cheaper, Puritan will deliver clothes to your door! read more
