Everyone is always so nice at every booth and always happy to share their stories and answer any questions! It gets pretty busy on Saturdays so I typically like to go on Sundays, although most pop-ups sometimes only go for a day, so definitely follow your favorite shops and keep up with then they will be there!

Wentworth & Fenn is also here sometimes, but we got there too late this past time and they were already gone. They have amazing bread, so check them out too if you can. If you're planning to go, I'd recommend getting there as close to opening (around 7:00 a.m.) as possible to beat the crowds. Even with the number of people, everything was very well organized. They had someone directing parking, and the checkout line moved quickly. The vendors were friendly, and the overall experience was smooth. The selection was amazing. They had fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful flowers, local honey, homemade jams, apple butter (I brought home a jar!), fresh baked goods, and even fresh meat from a local vendor. I also grabbed a mini pecan pie, and it was delicious! The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the freshness and quality. One thing to know is that this market isn't as spread out as some of the larger farmers markets, so it can feel crowded once it gets busy. Even so, it never felt disorganized, and the vendors were well stocked with plenty of products. I've always loved the Kings Drive Farmers Market, and this visit reminded me why. It's been a while since I'd been, but I'll definitely be going back more often. Whether you're shopping for your weekly produce, looking for local products, or just want to walk around and support local vendors, it's absolutely worth the trip. 10/10 recommend! I'm usually in and out, but the parking is super easy, vendors are fun and friendly. The market has a nice backdrop of the uptown buildings and the nearby Marshall Park (just behind First Baptist)... makes for a nice - easy Saturday morning to ease your way into the day. One day I will fufil my dream of walking to my nearby Lynx/Lightrail station taking it uptown to the market, enjoying the market, and then making my way home (so no parking needed - even though it's not an issue here if you go early enough).

We finished off with brunch at Trolley Barn and headed home with our loot, Some other details that I loved, there were representatives walking around handing out free doggie donuts and other representatives who were delivering bottled water and snacks to the vendors. I think in a couple of months it will go back to just Sundays. There are a variety of vendors. We started with breakfast -- a blackberry cream cheese scruffin and coffee -- from Great Harvest Bread Co. and leisurely strolled up and down a couple times. We went home with quite the haul! Amazing produce from Rosemay Pete including a kobucha squash I'm really looking forward to experimenting with this week. My guy got a pork butt and a pound of wahoo that are both in the smoker as I type this. The market is only open Saturdays from 8am-12pm and tucked behind the medical building on Sharon Amity, across from IHOP. Lots of parking! Friendly management from the Rotarians. As with most farmer's markets you will find it open on Saturday mornings. This one is actually open even through winter for some of those winter greens, indoor gardeners and handmade foods and goods. That's certainly a plus. On the flipside, this is so depressingly small I feel hesitant to even call it a market. Even in the warmer months when the Earth is most productive it's a market you can seriously walk through in a few minutes if nothing catches your eye or you're not searching for something you know they'll have. If you like to completely stock up at markets this wouldn't be the place to do it. It's also not particularly cheap unless you're buying the bulk-sized fresh produce. My personal favorite small company here is called "wish we had acres". They make some absolutely amazing smelling natural deodorants withOUT aluminum in them in case that's something you're sensitive to. The Dumpling Lady also shows up from time to time with some hella good Chinese inspired dumplings for steaming or frying. PS: They're outside on the grassy corner lot in the warm months and inside the Neighborhood Theater on the cold ones.

This is a very local small neighborhood market where you can still expect to find everything you need. The NoDa neighborhood already puts out an extremely relaxed and artistic vibe that will be further represented by the fine folks that set up here on Saturday mornings. Fine cheeses, local honey, fruit, and vegetables are all here.. Plus lots more!! There are even really cool t shirts you can buy to help represent the neighborhood and the farmers market. The prices are pretty typical I would say. We are talking about extremely local products here. Honey that is made less than a mile away or produce from a farm just outside the city. You'd expect to pay a little bit more than what you would at Harris Teeter because you get the added benefit of knowing that these products were made locally and with care. If all else fails.. Stop by take a look around. Meet some nice folks and have a good rest of the day in the neighborhood.
