I have used the facility several times, both for my own kids and little league teams I have coached. It looks small from the outside but they utilize the space they have really well. All their staff are experienced coaches who have also played the game. All the staff is also very friendly and supportive. There are coaches who specialize in all aspects of the game, pitching, hitting, and throwing. You can either pitch to the kids or utilize their pitching machines. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, working schedules around for the best times for you. I am so glad I found this place. We have taken our son Cooper to a little sluggers camp and then open training with Beau this winter. Cooper was hesitant at first but after only his first time there couldn't wait to come back. Being 9 and playing with kids of all ages and abilities can be intimidating but the staff and coaches work hard to make everyone comfortable. Beau and Drake are great coaches who really increased Coops fundamentals while encouraging him and making it fun. We've also done private's with BJ that have been huge not only for Coops skills but his confidence. BJ makes it so fun and works him hard but builds him up. Coop couldn't wait to tell BJ how he did catching and hitting after his first two games of the season! Every time we leave his first question is when he gets to go back! Also Sylvia and Teddy are always at the facility talking to everyone and making everyone feel comfortable. It's such a positive, upbeat, atmosphere. Teddy and Sylvia are the best! We took our entire softball fast pitch to their facility and they were over the top accommodating. They even came and opened their doors when they were closed just for our team. We ended up winning State 10U fast pitch and I fell their facility contributed to our success. I was looking for a baseball hitting coach for my 13 year old grandson. Found Athletic Edge on a search. Had no idea what to expect. Visited the facility and talked to the owner. We decided to give it a shot and booked the ten one hour instruction package. I've coached for many years, but not baseball. I know what it takes to coach young people and motivate them. I have to say today after seven weeks, that the staff at Athletic Edge exceeded all my expectations. Nick, our instructor, knows his game, knows how to coach and keep the student interested. Excellent communications and high energy level. These one hour sessions are pretty intense and no time is wasted. My grandsons skills are now equal to or better than his peers. His self esteem is noticeably improved and his confidence is showing at each at bat. From where we were seven weeks ago to where we are today, can't even be explained. Before Athletic Edge, and Nick, my grandson rarely hit the ball out of the infield. The last Middle School game he hit a shot in the gap that went for a triple, it wasn't luck, it was skill learned from instruction. He no longer swings at bad pitches, is patient and looks for a pitch to hit. We will be back at Athletic Edge this Fall to continue to build on this foundation.
