My daughter came home feeling bad about herself and asking to quit after just two months of dance. If a dance instructor has an issue with a child's abilities, the policy should be to take it up directly with a parent. They have no right telling a child they aren't good at dance! They shouldn't be allowed to interact with children until they get further training, as I consider this to be detrimental to a child's development. Update: I took my concerns directly to the teacher, and there was zero follow through or help with repairing this issue. I never heard from the owner, so I can only assume she doesn't care about the health and well being of children at her studio. It is in your child's best interest to find a safer place to dance.

However, what sets them apart from the rest is that they are a women only environment. This is awesome for me because I get intimidated at gyms fairly easily. I'm not in the best shape (round, I'm told is still a shape:) ) and I have wobbly bits and bits that continue moving when I stop. I'm self conscience. Here that doesn't bother anyone!! All different women from all walks of life with all sorts of shapes can come here and get their workout on! A typical routine consists of kettle bells swings, side lunges, burpees (aka the devil), ring swings, running/rowing, and wall balls. As you workout, you use your body weight against yourself. It's called plyometrics! These women here are an inspiration and someday I'll be able to do it as well as they can!!
