The staff is really great, knowledgeable and supportive. I love the patient education they provide so that I can better understand the muscles and tendons we are targeting. Navigating to this location and parking can be tricky if you aren't familiar with this area of downtown (lots of one way streets) but they provided me with a flyer that highlighted all the details. Be sure to pay close attention to which parking ramp they have patients use so you don't get stuck with an unnecessary charge (and be sure to ask the receptionist to validate). Parking on the street is limited and metered starting at 9am.

Our son has worked with Jon at Optimum Performance Physical Therapy on a couple different occasions…read moreto help him recover quickly and safely from triathlon and swimming injuries. Most recently, our son did something to his shoulder during this year's high school swim season...this took him out of the water for 5-6 weeks because he could not lift his arm in certain motions or swim his workouts without significant pain in his shoulder. He was evaluated by a couple different orthopedic doctors, both of whom thought our son tore his labrum in his shoulder...a condition that often results in surgery to fix the problem, with several months plus of rehab after the surgery. Getting this news right at the start of swim season was devastating, to say the least. We did a special MRI of the shoulder joint, and upon evaluating that, it was discovered that there was no tear of his labrum!! Great news, however, our son was still having tremendous pain with certain common movements of his arm, shoulder and even pushing down with his hand at times. We opted to get a steroid shot into that inflamed area of the shoulder joint space and to start extensive physical therapy in order to try to get our son back in the water, as he REALLY wanted his high school swim season and was super frustrated and defeated by this setback. Jon was our "go to" guy for these sessions of physical therapy. His hours worked best with our son's hectic schedule and we trusted him from working with him for past injuries. Plus, you just can't beat Jon's professionalism, compassion and genuine interest he takes in you as a client, but more so, just as a person. Jon was able to work 2-3 times a week on our son to try to get him back to functioning without pain and back to swimming. Jon simply went above and beyond by trying different things and exercises on him...he even loaned us a piece of strength training equipment to help get our son's shoulder stronger. I'm happy to report, with Jon's help, our son was able to get back in the water for the later portion his high school swim season. He ended up having to switch gears physically (and mentally) to sprinting events instead of his usual distance events, because of not being able to swim longer distances due to shoulder and arm fatigue. However, even with the event changes and mental changes that went on, our son ended up qualifying for State in all four of his events!! We didn't know if he would be able to get back in the water this year when all these shoulder issues started happening, let alone make it to State. Our son even ended up being part of a relay team for his school that broke a 22 year old school record!! So exciting!! BIG THANKS to Jon at Optimum Performance for supporting him and not giving up on him in the process...and of course, for helping us avoid shoulder surgery, too!! Everything in Integrated Therapy works one way - to benefit the business!…read moreThe place makes every first-time patient sign a paper, where he/she commits to paying $$ penalties for not showing up and for cancelling on too short of a notice, as a condition for receiving services. Yet, the IT stuff think it is acceptable for them to cancel appointments AFTER patients show up and to reschedule on as short a notice, as it is convenient to the staff members. The owner allows PT to yell at and berate patients, and does not seem to care about the quality of interactions his front desk has with the patients, and that leaves much to be desired. I watched an adult patient, who had been driven 90 miles RT for a visit, shown the door by a therapist, who could not handle the accompanying person's mention of the state's governor and the status of mask mandate. PTs do not take thorough health history and do not consult patients' medical charts. Heart and lung patients are made to exercise with masks on, being forced to rebreathe their own used air. This DPTs have to recognize, by virtue of their training, the increased need for O2 in any human body during exercise, not to mention in those with cardiac conditions. Yet, they do not seem to care or even consider the harm they may be causing their vulnerable patients. IT staff lure people into agreeing to their much-advertised INDIBA treatment without getting their patients' informed consent for this specific treatment and without explaining to their patients that RF treatment can promote the growth of tumors, which patients may not know they have had in their body. After treatment#4, I was in pain like never before, and had to get on pain killers, which to that date, I had been able to get by without. It's, obviously, all about making money for this private business, never mind the health costs to the patient. I believe what they are doing amounts to malpractice. We have since found out that there are PT clinics and practitioners in the area that treat their vulnerable patients with the care and consideration that those deserve. We are taking our business there.

Kate discovered that my pelvis was not aligned. She educates me during each visit. Her knowledge helps me to understand how muscles, nerves, etc all affect my body.
