We were very hopeful at the beginning of the project. They seemed professional and gave me a…read morereference to call. The reference told me they did okay as long as I understood the guy was new and needed reminding. This was very true. I also found their workmanship to be sub-standard and reckless. We had our ceilings scraped and in doing that, they damaged our walls and woodwork. When they painted initially they draped areas, but when repainting (several times) they did not drape anything and ended up getting paint on our light fixtures and wood work that is still there even after we tried removing it. We had them put down new flooring and months later when I removed a couple floor vent covers I found several inches of saw dust and construction debris sitting in the vents, being pulled into our duct work. Recently the treads they installed on our steps are now coming loose as the glue is not holding. During the project I even found parts from items that needed to be re-installed in our garbage can that had to be retrieved and put where belonged. I felt like I had to keep track of what was to be done and tell their workers even though I had already communicated with the manager. Their attention to detail is very much lacking. If you have anything done by this company, be sure you keep a detailed journal and written communication on what is agreed upon as part of the project.

He invested at least 4 hours in the initial intake and driving. He committed to getting us a quote in the week. And again after a month and then again after two months. Each time we followed up, he was super nice and said it was coming. He never once said anything about being too busy, or the job not being a fit for their business. Perhaps he wanted us to telepathically understand he wasn't going to take our business. It's too bad because we are not telepathic and apparently way too patient. So it's radio silence from MN Maintenance. No courage or decency to close the loop. I have been trying to deal with a leaking roof as…read morebest I can, and I have been dealing with a hostile insurance company for about 3 months now that has intentionally made the process as complicated as possible so it's easier to deny people in need. A big roofing company tried to help me but quit on my family halfway through, I guess the insurance company was too much for them? I felt alone and tried to find someone else to help, someone who might know a way to win. I remembered her signs in my neighborhood and hoped maybe she was different because her style feels earnest, honest, and like someone trying to grab the American dream of making it their own way. When Renda and I were first texting about her taking over my claim I was quiet about my reservations as I was aware I was jaded and hurt by those who came before her promising us the same kind of care but I have been blown away and regret any doubts I ever had of finding an insurance specialist who could actually get insurance to pay like they're supposed to. Whereas others just promised me the water would stop coming in and they were there for us, Renda actually did everything. Every promise made was kept, and our roofing emergency was resolved and fixed in less than a couple weeks of taking over my claim. Renda actually got insurance to pay out on our claim, and we're in a much safer spot because of her and the local teams she works with. When she says she is all about teamwork she forgot to add the absolute depth of skill of those on her team. Nobody else even wanted to try to get done what her team got done in like not even two hours. When she says she's an insurance specialist, she truly means it. It was only after we secured Renda's services that we were able to get a claim approved. For the first time I actually felt like I was on a team trying to get my home taken care of instead of desperately trying to discern the behind-the-scene's nightmare machinations that is the insurance process on my own or trusting people who said they would stand by us and then fled with an "okey-dokey" the moment insurance said 'no' like Tommy Boy before he got his courage. I still can't believe she and her team finished inside of a couple hours and my roof looks better than ever. I have been waking up at 2am to make sure the tarp I had to put up was still there as my insurance sent a sub-par contractor to put a terrible excuse of a patch up but thanks to Renda I have hope I might actually be able to sleep through the night this evening. This whole ordeal was so overwhelming and so excruciatingly long and so taxing on my mind that when I saw my roof I wept with relief. I truly feel I only got this done because of Renda, and that Renda is the only reason we didn't eventually lose our home to insurances cruelty. I regret not calling her first.
