Dunwoody Behavioral Health Center (DBHC) changed my life and helped guide me toward saving it. My 30 days there were, as my therapist Alex said during our first session, "the best experience I never want to have again." That ended up being completely true! The intake process can feel overwhelming at first, but once I settled in, I found an incredibly supportive environment. The staff were exceptional--case managers (shoutout to Kali), therapists (especially Alex, Jinsie, Eton, Angela, LT, and Ling), interns (especially Megan, Taylor and Nathan), nurses, behavioral health techs (especially Uriah, Aliyah and Lex- the karaoke superstars, Nakiya, Val, Ms. Kim- the diamond art and crochet queen, Michelle and Luke & Chris for managing it all so well) housekeeping, food service, and everyone else who contributed to making DBHC a place of genuine healing and growth. I always felt safe, cared for, and supported. Even when my therapist wasn't available, there was always someone willing to listen and help me process what I was experiencing. The group therapy sessions were wonderful and offered something for everyone, from trauma work and DBT/CBT skills to art therapy, yoga, self-esteem, and anxiety-focused groups. The facility itself is beautiful, and there were plenty of activities, events, and opportunities to connect with others outside of groups. One thing I appreciated most was that recovery wasn't something done to me--it was something I actively participated in. You truly get out of the program what you put into it. My only suggestions would be a more comprehensive orientation for new clients (you kind of have to learn as you go. I think a sheet of paper or binder with all the rules and nuances would be fabulous). Also, having additional meal options for people with dietary restrictions (i.e. gluten free, no red meat, or vegan/vegetarian). These were minor concerns and did not significantly impact my experience. I arrived at DBHC during one of the hardest periods of my life, and I left with hope, skills, insight, and a deeper understanding of myself. I am incredibly grateful to everyone at DBHC for being part of my healing journey. Also, so far SLOW has been amazing as well. They also have amazing group sessions, therapists (shoutout William, Ian, Mone, Esiri, Katie, and Julia so far), the case manager, the NP, and behavioral health techs. My apartment (Jefferson at the Perimeter) does have roaches though, so be warned about that!

Do not send your loved ones to Southern Live Oaks Wellness in Dunwoody, GA. They along with her…read morefather conspired to keep her from talking to me all in efforts to keep her at their facility. They restricted her from calling then when she asked to leave this mental health center they along with her father bullied her into staying. After being there on and off for over two months they bullied her into going to PHP out of state. When I found out they had restricted her from calling me they falsified call logs that said she had called me several times and has information about our conversations. When they knew she could not call me because they wouldn't let her. This was without her consent or my knowledge. Then when confronted about the false call logs they lied on my daughter and stated she told them she had called me and what we spoke about. They knew she couldn't call me because I was restricted. Your loved ones still need an advocate in any treatment facility.

My experience with Bailey Springs Nursing Center while my mother was a resident was extremely…read moreconcerning and, at times, alarming. Within just a few days of admission, I was informed that my mother was not eating. When I asked what alternatives or interventions had been attempted, I was told none. Despite this, she continued to be given medications that are intended to be taken with food, which led to repeated vomiting of whole pills and worsening nausea rather than addressing the root issue. I was also told directly by staff that residents are only given bed baths a few times per week. During my mother's stay, she was not taken to a shower at all. On one visit, she had a strong odor and staff rushed to clean her only after realizing I was present, which raised serious concerns about her ongoing hygiene care. Care coordination was also unreliable. I communicated well in advance about a scheduled neurology appointment and the need for transportation. This was not properly arranged, despite multiple follow-ups, and incorrect information about her insurance was given. More alarming were the changes in my mother's medical condition. At one point, she appeared heavily sedated without clear explanation, with noticeably dilated pupils and altered responsiveness. This was especially concerning given her condition and care needs. She had also been complaining of abdominal and pelvic pain for days without appropriate diagnostic follow-up. When I ultimately took her out for her appointment, her condition was so concerning that she had to be admitted to the hospital immediately. She was diagnosed with a severe UTI involving E. coli and had lost six pounds in approximately 10 days--something that speaks to a lack of adequate nutrition and monitoring. There were also clear safety issues. My mother requires a protective helmet due to a prior craniotomy, yet she was placed in a chair without it and left unattended. I have documentation and records supporting these concerns. Based on this experience, I strongly urge anyone considering this facility to be extremely vigilant, ask detailed questions, and closely monitor their loved one's care.

My father has been at this facility since 2020. I have never been satisfied with their care. I am constantly visiting my father, buy him food/grocery, clean after him, do his hygiene and clean and sanitize his room/furniture. The smell of urine is strong enough that you can sometimes smell it when you first walk in....It is so sad to watch their turnover, and change of their staff so frequently. All the credit for the recovery I made for each session goes directly to Anne Waldner, my physical therapist. Starting with my first round of with Anne it did not take me long to realize that I was in good hands. She has a consistently cheerful, knowledgeable, very positive yet thoroughly professional manner in the way she approaches her work. Hence, it was an easy decision to request to go back to Sovereign and Anne when I reinjured myself and needed additional physical therapy. I think if anyone is misrepresenting the facts, it is not David Mesnick. I attended physical therapy with David for almost 2 years. I was told when I made the first appointment that they don't take insurance; I was also told again face-to-face when I was checking out on day one, plus I have seen it on their website. However, for a flat fee of $50 per year, they will help you with the paperwork if you want to file a claim against your policy, but they do not take insurance and they expect payment immediately after their service is rendered. Everyone who goes to PT 360 knows that, except Mr. Martin. What I don't understand, and what makes absolutely no sense, is that when you complete your session, you stop by the front desk to pay. I assume Mr. Martin paid on his way out for each of his five sessions. At a minimum, I assume he knew after the very first session that 1) they don't take insurance and 2) they charge an annual fee of $50 to help you process the paperwork if you want to make a claim against your policy. So why did he, therefore, continue with four additional sessions??? I'm writing this review because I hate to see a good quality business like PT 360 slandered by someone's "misunderstanding," intentional or otherwise. I fail to see why Mr. Martin can't simply own up to the fact that perhaps he misunderstood instead of trying to interfere with a small local business by telling reviewers a bunch of BS and saying, don't go to this business - that's a terribly vicious way to handle what is obviously a misunderstanding on his part and/or a possible problem with insurance forms. David and the physical therapists at PT 360 are exceptional, professional, and ALWAYS gracious (never ever rude). They provide a much more hands-on approach to each patient versus the big orthopedic groups - that's why people continue to go to them even though they don't take insurance. I've used David and Sam, and my mother used Amanda. I can't say enough good things about all of them, as do all of the many unanimous 5 Star reviews on Google. Looking at Mr. Martin's other Yelp review, he enjoys critiquing the businesses he visits and even went so far as to accuse the other business of being "criminal." I'm not sure what his personal issues are, but I recommend that you go to PT 360 and see for yourself. You'll find David to be a soft-spoken gentleman, not the person depicted by Mr. Martin. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and very effective. Now, on to the well-deserved negative portion of my review. My physician referred me to PT360, and when I called, I specifically asked, "Are you in-network with my insurance provider, Aetna?" And the staff member told me, "Yes". I went to my first session with Sam, and afterward was told, "It's our policy to charge customers $50 to file your insurance claims." I was caught a bit off guard and said, "Wait a minute, I have to pay you to file claims, for you to get paid?" I've never heard such a thing. At this point, I asked a second time, "Are you in-network with my insurance provider, Aetna?" and was once again told, "Yes!" I did five sessions, asking each time if the previous claim had been filed, and I was assured it was. Well, they weren't. And not only that, it turns out that PT360 does NOT accept insurance. I had met my out-of-pocket for the year, so instead of my sessions being fully covered, I owed 100% of the cost of those sessions. While their mishandling of the insurance was costly and certainly disappointing, that's not why I have written this critical review. I reached out and respectfully shared details about my experience and received the most unbelievably rude and disrespectful reply from PT360's owner, David Mesnick. He told me I had "...misheard or forgot" what their policy was. Furthermore, he said (and this is a direct quote), "We are unapologetic about how we run our business." There are so many great physical therapists in Atlanta. Why would any customer do business with a company that misleads customers and then has the nerve to treat them this way? If you do choose PT360, just know this is concierge therapy, and contrary to what they may tell you, they DO NOT accept your insurance, and you will pay 100% out of pocket. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If you want further proof of this owner's unprofessionalism, just read his reply, "This man is on Yelp with bald-faced lies and clearly doesn't value the good care he received." Complete Care chose a mature, experienced caregiver for me who I am happy with. In my case a caregiver is needed to help with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, cooking and laundry. It is a relief to have competent, trustworthy help during recovery. And she is easy to get along with and punctual. My family has been pleased with every aspect of Complete Care's service.
