Shanon and Ken are simply the best at what they do. They know everything related to leather shoes, belts and purses. They also repair all types of suitcases. My first experience came when I needed a few extra holes added to a leather belt. Shanon made the modification while I waited with no additional charges. My family also had positive experiences when having a leather purse strap repaired. Finally, the handle on my suitcase had come off after returning from a flight. Shanon was very helpful in explaining the difficulty in repairing the bag as well as options for donating the bag to local charities. I have a hand made designer purse made just for me. The strap broke. Knew what I needed and searched for something near me. The shop is old and cluttered a hidden treasure. To sew one strap thirty dollars unapologetically. A little much for one strap but I didn't complain. I paid and noticed he said he couldn't do the other side but did. Highly recommend!!! Shanon and Ken took my butchered cowboy boots which had been "reheeled" by an incompetent cobbler (that shall remain nameless) and brought them back to beauty. They had to rebuild the entire heel in order to fix them. Initially when I came to pick them up I was disappointed because the soles weren't --exactly -- how the original boots looked when I bought them. Ken and Shanon were so patient with my disappointment and kindly suggested I take them home and wear them and take my time to decide. If I was sure I wanted an adjustment I could bring them back and they could shave a tighter angle in the heel. When I took them home I realized they were right. Reddit to the rescue for a recommendation. My beloved Birkenstocks toe strap was coming loose. This place was recommended for getting them fixed. I drove to Roswell and met the lady who runs the shop. She was delightful, professional and honest. Charged me $40 upfront to fix it. Cool. Get a call a few days later that it was a more extensive process by removing the soles. She gave me two options: 1 - pay $90 more and have them fixed or 2- she would refund my $40 and not continue with the work. I went with option 1 and now basically gave a new pair of shoes that are already broken in. I appreciated her giving me options and never expected for her to refund since the work had already started. I was very impressed with the work done and her giving me options when it was more than originally expected. They are about 1.5 miles off 400 and plenty of parking. I will return for future leather needs. read more

If I could give this place a negative score I would. Dropped 2 pairs of boots off before Thanksgiving. Their policy is pre pay. $180. Ok. He said it be a few weeks they would call when ready. No call. Had to go and check AFTER in January. They couldn't find the order, then "found" one pair but the other wasn't ready. Early February get a call other pair was ready. Terrible communication. Repair was fine. Finally picked up the boots in February. FEBRUARY. Got a call they were finally ready, then waited 10 minutes while the owner had a conversation about hiking until she finally acknowledged me to pick up my boots. Had a tear in my Briggs & Riley carryon that I have had for well over 20 years and absolutely love it. As a service location for Briggs & Riley, a wonderful young lady at Atlanta Shoe & Leather helped me and she sent it in for repair. She explained the process and we sent it to the factory for repair. The factory had it back almost 2 1/2 weeks sooner than anticipated and I am sure that it had a lot to do with the awesome customer service provided by Atlanta Shoe & Leather. my daughter dropped shoes off to be cleaned. they failed to inform her it would take 3 weeks to get them back. After having them for a week I picked up the shoes with the service not complete. She handed the shoes back to me. i explained the service was paid for she then stated she would give me a store credit and not return the cost of service. I didn't have time to argue. Not happy. I dropped my boots off around December 9th. The lady who checked me in did tell me it may be a while before they are ready. I said no problem thinking it would be a couple of weeks. They said they would call me when the boots were ready. Since it had been nearly a month, I left a message January 7th. No one called me back. I called again on January 8th and spoke to a rude man who said there was a sign posted in the shop indicating he was backed up and it would be January 6th before he could even begin fixing anyones shoes. HAHA....a sign. Who reads a sign anymore? This is so old school. They should have told me in person, when I dropped the boots off, they could not even begin fixing my boots until January 6th. I would have had the option to take them somewhere else. They called me on the 9th and said they were ready. I picked them up, but received the cold shoulder. They did a good job replacing the heels on my boots. I will not return because I will not wait a month for any shoe repair, I do not like paying in advance, nor do I like terrible customer service. I would recommend Roswell House Shoe repair because they have a 2 day turn around service for heel replacement, good customer service, and did not make me pay in advance. read more
