Ever since I have been coming they have treated me with such kindness and care. Dr Vargas + team have been helping rehab me and it's helping! Slowly but surely I will get there. Good luck getting a call back. They lack alot in customer services. They wanted to schedule surgery . I've been waiting in alot of lower back pain. They have constantly dropped the ball. I was referred here by my pain physician for a number of different issues. I received an MRI beforehand to which I was given a disk containing the images. My appointment wasn't scheduled for a few more weeks and consequently had moved and lost the disk. I called the Atlanta spine and asked if they could call and request my images from the MRI facility. They said yes, they could. Great. Upon arrival I checked in, filled out my paperwork, and proceeded to wait for my appointment, insurance verified and copay collected. FIRST RED FLAG. THE NUMEROUS FEES POSTED i.e CASH PAY AND LATE FEES AMONG OTHERS. My name was called. I went to my room and proceeded to answer the same questions that I filled out in my intake paperwork just moments before. The nurse then told me that I was going to need to get an x-ray. I asked her, why would I need an x-ray when I have full MRI imaging. And she replied oh it's just standard procedure we x-ray all the patients. SECOND RED FLAG. THEY ARE UNNECESSARILY BILLING YOUR INSURANCE. Ok. She left and returned momentarily stating that they did not have my MRIs and I was going to have to leave and make another appointment. I had left work early, it's the holiday season, and this doctor's office is far from my side of town. WOW. Instead of calling the imaging facility and having them email, record share, or whatever it is they needed to do; they wanted me to schedule another appointment. Absolutely not. And I will take my pain and my insurance elsewhere. I suggest you do the same as well. I then told the nurse that I needed my co-pay refunded as well as my insurance not to be billed for this appointment. She appeared very hesitant and uncomfortable until I persistently told her that I have yet to see a doctor and therefore should not be billed for this non-visit. But please believe, they wanted that money. RUN. I have a herniated disk in my neck that's touching my spine and this type of unprofessional approach towards such conditions is the THE THIRD RED FLAG. read more

A gem indeed... I was in Atlanta traveling and 3,000 miles away from home helping my elderly Uncle pack up his worldly possessions to move into a facility that would offer him more support. During the course of the packing and move I saw Dr. Vargas three times for a rib out in my back and neck, both of which were causing me extreme pain and trouble sleeping. I have had periodic chiropractic treatment since I was 15 years old because I was an athlete--so essentially for the past 25 years. Throughout the years I have experienced many varieties and levels of chiropractic expertise yet I have not had an experience quite like the one with Dr. Vargas. Dr. Vargas has a keen ability in treating the whole person and body, not just your point of pain. With his thorough intake and his absolutely likable nature one feels as if you have been under his care for years. His demeanor is especially friendly and pleasant yet professional all the way. Dr. Vargas is a gem indeed....not only is he the real-deal, but he is amazingly gifted in his craft. On my third appointment with Dr. Vargas I took a risk on revealing a source of pain that through other forms of treatment I had not been able to heal. My soaz on the right side would move in and out of pain that it prevented me from getting on the floor and playing with my children; at times caused me to walk hunched over and periodically would prevent me from sitting in front of my computer to do my job. He treated me with a method called, Nimmo and it worked the first time. Now back home in California (and pain free) I am lamenting that the distance will keep me from getting another treatment any time soon although the next time in ATL making an appointment for a tune-up will be top of my priority list. I love the Atlanta Spine Center! Dr. Vargas is casual, friendly, and puts you at ease. I have not been adjusted by Dr. Vicky, but I have heard great things about her. I came to the Atlanta Spine Center earlier this year after receiving a quote from another Chiropractor in town for about $3000 for adjustments over the course of 6 months. That doctor would not accept any insurance, so I had to go elsewhere, and that is how I found the Atlanta Spine Center. Dr. Vargas took a look at my X-rays and determined that much treatment (and cost!) was unnecessary for my condition and we embarked on a treatment plan. I am happy to report that I am feeling better and my wallet thanks me for not paying $3000 out of pocket for care. They offer therapeutic massage for an additional charge before an adjustment, and I try to take advantage of this as often as possible. You can choose a 30 minute or 60 minute massage, and it really helps the doctor get a good adjustment and I find it really helps me relax and greatly reduces spasms and pain after an adjustment. The office is small and located in an office building in Midtown. Parking is easy in the garage, and if you use the parking stamp in the office, your parking will be free with your visit. I must recommend Aisha for massage. She is the best, and she will get all your worst trouble areas. I saw some of the other therapists, and while they were good, Aisha is the best for me. I like a lot of pressure to work out my trouble zones, and she is able to get me all fixed up! I love the friendly atmosphere in the office, and I love that the receptionists, Doctors, and therapists remember me and the other patients in the practice. This place is awesome! Dr Vargas is a great Chiropractor and is very skilled at addressing any issues you are dealing with when it comes to pain management. There were times when Dr Vargas was not available and I've gone to Dr Williams. She is great too. They not only helped manage my pain after my car accident , they helped manage my pain during pregnancy. I am now a parent of a 2 month old baby boy and Dr Yarns also adjusts my son. My little boy has been going since birth and he sleeps well because of it. The staff is really awesome. The massage therapist is very skilled too. Bought a living social for a massage and consultation. I can honestly say it was money well spent. The location is great, the staff are friendly, and the massage was AMAZING. I get massages pretty often, and this was up there in the top 3 category. I felt like the therapist perfectly worked out my "kinks," so to speak. Every now and then you leave a massage feeling a bit euphoric and that definitely happened after this experience. I had seen physical therapists in the past for this issue, and thus was surprised -- and delighted -- when Ellen gave me new, interesting and engaging exercises to incorporate into an at-home regime. She was also very accommodating -- she modified the exercises when I noted difficulty (or just disinterest) in a specific position; helped me design a weekly series of primary (and complementary) sets; and was forever patient and generous when answering my endless questions. I love both Dr. Vicky and Dr. Vargas. I've been seeing them for about a year and a half, but I remember the first time I went I was beyond impressed. Their method of adjusting just makes sense to me. I've seen several chiropractors in the past that use massage tables to "relax" your muscles, but here the doctor's massage your neck and back just before they adjust you so your muscles are as relaxed as possible before your spine is adjusted. read more
