My experience here was unacceptable. The receptionist, Grace, spoke to me with an attitude that felt blatantly discriminatory and completely out of line for a medical office. To make matters worse, a man named William -- who appeared to be the janitor -- claimed he was the office manager and tried to handle check-in and patient issues. The chaos, disrespect, and lack of professionalism were unbelievable. I came for dermatology care and instead dealt with racism, confusion, and staff misrepresenting their roles. I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother. Honestly we're both shocked that this office received any bad reviews at all. We've had the best experience with them. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and we've never waited longer than a couple minutes for our appointment. Dr. Whitworth actually listened to my mother's concerns and gave her options on how to treat and prevent her issue. It's not just my mother that loves this office and doctor. She recommended him to my aunt who is in healthcare herself and he may have actually saved my little cousins life with a problem that he diagnosed where other doctors were not able to. They gave me the forms to take home and have them ready to save time. Fast forward, I arrived 10 minutes early in my appointment with my paperwork already done. Dr Whitworth is a good doctor. I have been to this location many times in the past. Scheduling for the past 2/3 years has not been adhered to. They overbook every time slot. As other reviews stated you wait a long time in the waiting room and then you wait another 20-30 minutes in the exam room. I thought with COVID they would not be overbooking because they have a small waiting room. When I arrived the waiting room was full (some chairs taped off), there were 8-10 people waiting/standing in the hallway unsupervised. This did not look like a COVID save situation!!!!! If you make an appointment here assume you will be waiting 1 to 1.5 hours before you see the doctor. You may also be waiting in the hallway with no chairs. Your time is NOT respected. read more

The staff is also kind and attentive. *HOWEVER* those behind front desk/ receptionist area are the absolute dumbest human beings you'll ever have the misfortune of coming across. Very unprofessional to make an appointment in advance and they make you wait. I'm not even a patient here and they were very disrespectful and rude. From observing, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone because they all look very discouraged to work, from the front desk assistants to the dermatologist themselves. They're office is so dirty like how do you come to a place to treat your skin and they're office is very unsanitary. I don't normally leave reviews , however my mind was blown away when I left this doctors office . I was in shock and disbelief. Our appointment was pushed back for three weeks , when we finally got a firm date , our appointment was delayed for an hour . We waited for 1.5 hrs in the hallway. We finally got in with my son, the resident doctor checked my son and I had a list of things I went over with her . Very nice lady .. then the doctor stormed in to check on my son and go over whatever he was told by the resident , we were rushed and I didn't get an opportunity to go over everything with him because he said "I don't have time for all of your problems today, come back another day ". What a horrible experience. I had an appointment at 3:30pm and checked in with the rude front staff, then had to wait till 4:38 in the hallway because their waiting area was full and also the hallway had more people waiting. These days with the corona virus they definitely over booked people and they were everywhere and over booked and instead of having patients waiting in the car and calling in, they have them check in at the front desk and just scatter in the waiting area and hallway. After I was brought at 4:38pm into the patients room, I was there for another 25-30 minutes. I left the office and when they realized I was gone, the rude receptionist called my cell phone and asked if I was coming and I said no, she replied with a simple rude OK. I asked to speak to the doctor or have him call me back and she said no and I can do whatever I want, again in a rude manner. Should be 0 stars . Made a last minute appointment for my daughter home for the weekend from college . Explained the situation and told them what insurance I have , they said come in. Only to have my daughter sit there for 2 hours to see the dermatologist for 2 minutes and have him say they have to run the insurance , which can take weeks to hear back from them. Charged my insurance for a visit when they could have said this before hand . When I called for an explanation the unprofessional woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and said to take it up with your insurance company , have a nice day and hung up on me . I went there as a new patient concerned about a large cystic acne pimple on the bridge of my nose. When I asked if he could inject it to lessen the swelling and inflammation and thereby lessening the pain associated Dr Whitworth said he won't do it because if he did my insurance company would "stiff" him for the full amount he could get on a subsequent visit So he told me to come back tomorrow so he could get top dollar for this very minimal procedure. It seriously would have taken him two minutes to draw up a syringe with an anti inflammatory medicine and inject into one spot on my face. I have hid this done countless times and never have experienced the crass and curt refusal to administer treatment to a patient because the physician desired top dollar for his services. Yikes, based on the reviews below, I really didn't know what I was getting myself into my making an appointment here! However, I am pleased to report that I had a really great visit. When I made my appointment I spoke with a really nice lady called Michelle who was very helpful. I showed up to my appointment and the receptionist was a sweetheart. The gentleman who escorted me into the Doctor's waiting room was gracious and very friendly. The Doctor's Assistant who asked about my visit was a lovely bubbly, kind and friendly young lady.... and then I met the Doctor. Dr. Whitworth listened to my concerns, examined me, explained my options and was very professional and courteous. I did not have a long wait at all. Came in to have my skin checked out, The first time I came in Dr.Whitworth told me what type of acne I had, I havent been to this dermatologist in a while.
