I appreciated that very much. The results were uploaded to MyChart within the hour. Very efficient and nice people. Because I went in within 2 hours of my appointment, the insurance had not approved my test. They waited until the last minute to see If it would be approved and gave me the option to pay out of pocket or reschedule. I didn't have time or want to risk having a problem, so unpaid out of pocket and will working out with my insurance. They were very upfront about it and I liked having the option.

To charge this much just for an infant to be monitored overnight and have no procedures done is abusive, price gouging, and an unconscionable billing practice. There is no way that this rate can be legal. Beyond billing, here is my original experience at the location. I came to the Goreyeb PICU (Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit) for a child's post-operation observations and everything went smoothly. The doctors, nurses, and staff are all very nice and helpful. They were all very well organized from the pre-op to the post-op in the PICU (pediatrics intensive care unit). Just a few things to give you the heads-up about: 1. Generally, parking won't be free at Morristown Medical Center. The parking lots are free only up to 30 minutes, $4up to 5 hours, $7 for visits past 5 hours and up to 24 hours. However, they will validate your parking if you are attended to in the pediatrics hospital. 2. The rooms in the PICU do not have showers. You have to go to a shared shower if you are staying overnight. 3. When you are in a room, breastfeeding moms get free food trays 3 times a day. Trays include 2 sides, soup, an entrée, a dessert, and a drink. Other guests pay $10 for a tray. So guests shouldn't buy food from the cafeteria. Buying the tray is a far better deal. There was nothing special about the experience to warrant a $50,000 bill. I highly recommend that you find another hospital. I recommend that you avoid any hospitals inside of Morristown Medical Center at all costs unless you are a millionaire and prepared for the huge costs that will follow.

Dr. Goldman performed her first surgery we were pleased with him, since they all have different specialty, he referred her to Dr. Montgomery. Dr. Montgomery and NP Vaccari have been exceptional throughout her care, especially during her recent meniscus transplant and osteotomy, which was her most complex surgery to date. Their professionalism, expertise, kindness, and excellent bedside manner helped ease our concerns and made the recovery process much smoother than we expected. This is the second surgery Dr. Montgomery has performed on my daughter, and both outcomes have been outstanding. Her recovery has been excellent, and we are very grateful for the quality of care she has received over the years. I would also like to recognize Jermaine, who is always friendly, welcoming, and a pleasure to interact with. His positive attitude helps make every visit a pleasant experience. The entire team contributes to a warm and professional environment. While this is a very busy practice and wait times can sometimes be longer than expected, the quality of care is absolutely worth it. I'd been scheduled for this scan by my primary care physician during my annual checkup exam, so I didn't see what Yelp had to say about Florham Park beforehand. Boy was I surprised when I looked online and saw all the 1-Stars and testimonials (!!!) Because of the timing, there was no backing out or way for me to schedule somewhere else. So I went in this morning with some trepidation. Fortunately I had a good patient experience overall. For imaging, I would definitely come back to the Florham Park location again (140 Park Ave Building). Pros: ** Easy to drive there off of Columbia Turnpike. It's close to FDU -Florham. ** Nice campus. It's huge with more than ample parking and even covered parking structures for bad weather ** Imaging department is located as soon as you enter the main entrance doors of 140. It will be to your left. ** The waiting room is nice and they had HGTV playing on the TV ** The woman at Registration was polite, friendly, and informative ** The technician who performed my scan was professional, knowledgeable, and patient with explaining to me what would happen (which I really appreciate) ** The facilities once you enter past the registration area, equipment, and rooms looked good to me. There's a hallway with blue flowers painted on the walls, and on the ceiling above the machine there are images of the sky and flowers (so you can focus on those and relax while you are being x-rayed). Cons: ** So far, none... It's too early for the results and billing didn't happen yet. Hopefully the results will be uploaded to the portal in a timely fashion (in contrast to a fellow Yelper's review from last month). I don't know if that's a Summit Health computer system thing or human error though. We'll see what happens. Three times I went back to the start and was in a loop. I then went to another call where when I finally got to a voicemail I couldn't leave a message because it said the mailbox was full , this is 3:00 in the afternoon. No number to call a supervisor, nothing. I went to the Clifton, NJ location for an MRI and I had my report by the time I got home which takes 15 minutes. This was at the 150 Park Ave location in Florham Park. Do not get MRI here. Horrible service The woman that did the MRI , Evette was excellent. The follow up horrible.

Today, I lost a beloved immediate family member who was staying at this hospital for over a month. However, the care she received and the kindness my family was shown throughout the past heart-wrenching weeks was phenomenal. While I stand firmly in my decision to give a five star review, I'd like to point out that hospital security is an area that could use significant improvement. To visit patients, all that is needed is to state the patient's name/room number, and a visitor sticker is given. Anyone can walk right up to the room, no questions asked. Sometimes, people just walk right past the desk and no one questions it. Everyone who enters a space with vulnerable patients should need to sign in and provide proof of identification, at the very least. The hospital also could use visible security guards (especially during late night hours). I felt uncomfortable walking alone from the hospital to my car in the parking lot during the night, after staying with family member in palliative care. It was a ghost town; there was no one to be found at the front desk, in the lobby, outside of the building entrance, or in/around the parking lot/garage. With that said, feel confident in taking your loved ones to this hospital to ensure that they are receiving thorough, top quality medical care.

Karen and Lauren are both very knowledgeable and have the most caring bedside manner. Dr. Iammatteo is one of the most competent, experienced, kind and confident doctors I have ever encountered. He managed my high risk pregnancy without any issues. Nurses Amy, Sharon, Paige were all lovely and caring. Liz, Isabel, Karla and Debbie at the front desk were always patient and attentive with all the scheduling needs. Dr. Iammatteo managed my high risk pregnancy without any issues. My husband and I are going to be forever grateful to him and his wonderful team of nurses and front desk staff who all bent over backwards to accommodate all requests.

I showed up and the receptionist put me in a room right away. She helped me fill out paperwork before I was seen by 3 different people. Someone took my vitals, then a student came in and then the PA, this did not slow down the process at all and I felt that my symptoms were properly noted and analyzed. They took a couple of rapid tests and a lab test that needed to be sent out. I was told that I would hear back if any of the cultures came back positive. I did hear back within 24 hours, the PA called me on a Sunday with my results and gave me care instructions. I appreciated the promptness and the personal call from the PA that saw me the day prior. I then received a second call the day after, on Monday, to review that my throat cultures all came back negative - the call was quick but it made me feel that they were doing a thorough job following up with me. I will be using this as my initial urgent care in the future (hopefully not too soon though!).
