From check‑in to check‑out the staff were amiable, professional, and genuinely compassionate. Jared provided a swift, accurate diagnosis and the treatment plan and medications were exactly what we needed. The entire process was efficient and handled with empathy and care--there was real warmth and attention to detail at every step. My whole family has used this urgent care (I've been seen here before), and every visit has been a consistently pleasant experience. I highly recommend AdventHealth Centra Urgent Care in Port Orange. Thank you to Jared and the entire team for your excellent care and kindness.

We explained the issues and he left. They pulled a blood sample and later Amanda stated it came back ok. Long story short Dr. Taylor never came back in the room during the entire 3 hr visit. We left and went home. I made my wife some chicken soup and slowly felt better. Today 7-2 my wife went to her Kidney Doctor. He reviewed her blood work from the ER and stated that her sodium had bottomed out and they should have gave her two bags of IV. I get it, he said / she said, but what REALLY pissed me off was Dr. Taylor's comment that he had a short attention span and give him the short version, like we were bothering him. Maybe his lack of "attention" missed the issue on the blood test?? How does someone with a short attention span become a MD in school? .......we will not go back to this location.

She said that was fine to head over . Within a minute they called back and said don't bother coming , now that we know you have insurance we can't see you . I headed out for Advent health as they recommended and saw this urgent care on my way to Advent Health, I didn't realize it was the same place I called . When I walked in the receptionist clearly irritated called me by name that was on her caller ID and said I told you we can't see you . I think their explanation for refusing to treat me is absolutely ridiculous. Anyway I explained I thought that the urgent care I called was further towards Ponce Inlet . I didn't realize I walked into the same office I called . The ironic thing is I went to Advent Health that this urgent care very dismissively recommended and they also didn't take my health insurance but they were very glad to treat me . They said being self pay was not an issue even though they also knew I have health insurance. Thankfully they did a outstanding job with my care . I was disappointed that this closer urgent care in the Shores would not take my money but Advent Health wasn't to much further . I just have a hard time believing now that they couldn't see me when the other urgent care did with the exact circumstances. They should have just been honest we pick and chose who we want to treat !

They do not accept any government insurance such as Tricare. Ended up going across the bridgeread more

They got him moved as soon as another bed was available. We were both in Halifax after a very serious car accident, leaving him with broken ribs and me with neck fracture and lumbar spine fracture. We went into Brooks rehab after our hospital stay, and that was very good also. Our one main concern was that my husband was without pain meds and food/water for an extended amount of time because they kept saying he was going for a specific MRI (for gallbladder and pancreatitis), but they never showed up until the next day. He was in serious pain, even sweating due to pain, so I was very upset by this. Alex and Brittney, on 7th floor were WONDERFUL nurses! They came quickly when he needed them and never made him feel like a burden to them.

I felt that my concerns about my health were not taken seriously and that I did not receive the level of attention, communication, or thorough evaluation that I expected from a hospital. The nurses, doctors, and staff appeared extremely overworked, and in my experience, that seemed to affect the quality of care and communication. I also have serious concerns about billing and how patients are informed about their medical care and paperwork. I believe patients deserve complete transparency about what is documented in their medical records, what procedures and treatments are being performed, and what they are being charged for. I also have concerns regarding experiences during COVID-19, including how certain paperwork, treatments, and vaccinations were handled. These are serious concerns that I believe deserve proper investigation and accountability. A hospital should put patient safety, honesty, communication, and well-being first. Patients should never feel like they are simply another number or another bill. Based on my personal experience, I give Halifax Hospital 1 star. I sincerely hope the hospital takes patient concerns seriously, improves communication and accountability, and makes meaningful changes so future patients receive the care and respect they deserve. Patients deserve to be heard. Patients deserve transparency. Most importantly, patients deserve safe and compassionate care.

The first two times, they pumped me full of fluids and sent me home. The third time I was admitted for a few days. They couldn't figure out what was going on with me so they called it dehydration and began the release process. I had been extremely sick for months and no doctors had been able to figure out the culprit. About 30 minutes after I was told I was going to be released still feeling awful, Dr. Greiper came in the room and told me he suspected I had a rare disease they only see about once a year and he was going to keep me another night to do testing for it. Sure enough, it was indeed the culprit. I was given medication that changed my life. I now go to the Mayo Clinic and have my life back. I am so thankful for this man. He definitely changed my life. As for the ER staff, every time I entered they checked my vitals and based off those they immediately put me into a room and doctors came right in to start trying to figure out the problem. I think they were drawing blood within 15 minutes of me walking in each visit. The waiting room was pretty busy but I never had to wait. I am so thankful for these people.

Never rcvd a call to schedule, called them & got no answer, called back next week to ask questions & was told someone else would call me back, so they didn't give me bad info. I didn't get a phone call back until the 21st. Which they tell me I'm outside of the 28 day period for insurance to cover the procedure. Now I have to self pay. They told me the wrong time to start fasting my baby before the procedure (she called back and left a voicemail to correct herself) and told me they request I be there 15 mins before me appt. I also asked what method they use and she told me she didn't know. After ALL the RED flags I still show up to my scheduled appt because he needs to be circumcised. I get there before my appointment time but not 15 mins before. They checked me in took my money told me NONE of my info was in the system, had me wait 10 mins & then told me they were rescheduling my appointment because there is only a ONE MINUTE time frame they have between appointments & because I didn't show up 15 mins ahead of my scheduled appt time they were cancelling. I said that should have been told to me that you required me to be in office 15 mins before scheduled or you lose your apt! Here I assumed it was for paperwork which could've been filled out during the 2hrs I was going to have to be sitting in the office. I asked for my money back and somebody came out and asked what the protocol on that was, almost like there was a question as to if they would do that. I am beyond appalled at the level of unprofessionalism & lack of clear communication for a medical establishment.
