He returned and put brackets on to secure it but did not repair the molding as promised, then stated there's nothing that can be done. Not responsive when asking for a refund. We feared that we would need to replace a $2500 appliance. I stopped by Moore Appliance to see if this is something they could take a look at. They set me up with an appointment for the next day "between 12 and 5." The technician called at 12:00 to let us know he was on the way, and he arrived about 10 minutes later. He immediately determined the previous occupants used oven cleaner, which clogged the burner and the gas intake. He explained you should not use oven cleaner on a gas over for this reason. He cleaned it out, tested the oven several times, and answered all of our questions. Super helpful, very professional, and much cheaper and easier than replacing the oven.

Got some Yelp replies and Rob's quote was the simplest and it's very competitive. Like regular yelp user, I had doubts with the company that have no reviews (not anymore after mine). But after taking to Rob, the owner, over the phone. I learned that he's pretty genuine and polite and he indeed can work the next day. Rob jr, the son, gave me a call before the appointment when he knew he might be late on the scheduled time which I am super appreciative as avg contractors that I hired before wouldn't do that. (They have no time for it...) Rob got the job done very quickly and professionally. He even took pictures for me so I can have a peace of mind remotely. I have used Mr. Appliance in the past and had good experiences. However, a recent experience with…read morethem was so dreadful, I have to caution people to avoid this business. I was having new floors put into my home. In order to do that, my appliances had to be disconnected and reconnected. I called Mr. Appliance and they said sure. What I didn't know at the time is that the company now has set fees for dealing with appliances independent of job or size. So, for example, to move (twice) my fairly small wine chiller--2x3 feet--was over 600.00. They moved my microwave, which I had not asked for, and charged me over 300.00. All told, to move a fridge, wine cooler, microwave, dishwasher and stacked washer and dryer, Mr. Appliance charged me 2612.00. I should add that a friend--we had to be elsewhere for our floor replacement--watched all this work. None of it, except for moving the refrigerator was difficult and most was accomplished in minutes. I tried to get Mr. Appliance to work with me on the onerous fees but they did not. There was no appeals process nor were they especially interested in my concerns. So, DO NOT USE Mr. Appliance unless you are clear on what you will be charged before they come. Their prices are, at least for what I had done, insanely high. (And the fact that the payment screen asks that you tip is just too extra.)
