Probably the strangest exchange I've ever had. First call, he told us there was someone ahead of us and he would arrive at our hotel in 25 minutes. Called 35 minutes later, he said he unable to find my phone number (what for? he knows what hotel we're at) and that he wouldn't be coming. Then he just hung up the phone. This cab company is completely unreliable. They have been up to 30 minutes late on multiple occasions. On one occasion, I called and was told that the cab would come in 15 minutes. I called 30 minutes later because it hadn't arrived yet. The phone rang through and no one picked up. I called back and the phone had been turned off. No one ever came. Some of the drivers are great but one woman who works for ATLAs has no idea where anything in Champaign-Urbana is and lies about it and then arrives extremely late. I used to use ATLAS all the time because there aren't many cab companies in CU but I will never be calling them again. read more

Do NOT use Atlas Cab! Called last night to verify 5:00 am pick up for the airport. The guy confirmed and then called me back 10 minutes later to re-verify address. I should have known then..... Morning came and I called to verify they were on their way at 5:05. It sounded like I woke the guy up! Called back several times and it kept going to voicemail. They finally answered at 5:15 and it was a new guy who said he knew nothing about the pick up and that no one was on their way!!! Awful, awful service!!!! They almost made me miss my flight! Worst cab customer service ever!! Called a cab to pick me up from night class my teacher asked me to stay a bit longer because she had a question for me. The driver calls me and I try to communicate this to him but couldn't talk because of his loud yelling. He yelled at me so loud that my classmates heard his voice through the phone without it being on speaker (Not professional) very disrespectful!!! Made me feel very uncomfortable. read more

If you asked me a few years ago i would have happily recommended this company, lately however they have greatly declined. The business and service really depends on how the driver is feeling at that particular time, and that's not okay. I have never been lied to by them, but have been refused service, and had the fare increased. Never decreased. They want money, and you can tell. I would no longer recommend them. read more

The best taxi driver ever very nice always showed up in 15 min or less he was my driver all weekend me and my friends became friends with him and told him about out our night and shared stories with him. He also remembered us which was nice. read more

I wish I could give him a zero star...this was the most awful experience I have ever had in a cab. He refused to turn on the meter, and then claimed we stole the cab (after waving him down), and thus he had to charge us "extra". He was extremely rude. Please use any other cab company. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have not and would not ever use this company. While driving yesterday one of their Vans ran me off into another lane all because his lane was about to end (which you get a notice of about a half mile back he chose to ignore). There was absolutely no room to do so but he felt it worth the risk in hitting me just so he could get ahead. When I called about it? HE ended up being the one to answer the phone and claimed I had been the one who tried to run him off the road?? Funny how I was the one that ended up in the other lane however. I have the right away, just because you want over doesn't necessarily mean there's time OR room for you to get over. He couldn't handle hearing he was in the wrong and hung up. These people are ridiculous, aggressive and down right unprofessional. This company doesn't even sound like it should exist. read more

We called Atlas. they were on time. what we didn't know is that we would be taken all over town picking up and dropping off other fares. I did not know that was normal practice of cabs. When we complained to the cab driver she called the police on us. We asked for a reduced fare since we taken all over town. Police never stopped at our house but they did drive by. I will never recommend you at all. read more

Horrible service. If i could give zero stars i would. After waiting 15 min. for a cab - that part was fine and what I expected - the driver called to say he was there. I was in an essentially deserted area and did not see him. I called back and he said he'd picked someone up. While that definitely did not happen due perhaps to a misunderstanding of location, he did apologize and said he would return. I waited 10 more minutes and then called again to get an ETA. He said he couldn't take on a new passenger for at least 20 min. As I'd already waited 25 min. I got upset, though not rude and he hung up on me. read more

Worst cab company I have ever experienced in champaign-urbana. Don't ever call this company for a ride. They don't show up on time if at all. There were 2 instances I tried using this cab company the first time I was in urbana needed a ride down the road and the lady was all the way in west champaign and she told me she wasn't going to drive all the way to urbana unless she had a couple more calls which I understood that but the second time I called for a cab and she said she would be 15/20 minutes she was dropping people off and then she would come to me...a half hour passed and I called her back and then she told me she was still dropping people off so she had picked somebody else up before me when I had already called her for a cab and then was rude about the whole conversation and then hung up on me. So don't ever take this cab company especially from the black lady that drives for them I don't know her name but she is very rude and does very poor business! I would recommend Steve from aero cab or if he's not available use Angela at city transit both are great people very nice and reasonably priced and they actually show up on time or even early! read more
