I have practiced with Atlas studio both in person ( preCOVID19) and using the online platform they transitioned to. The in person classes were always engaging and provided a safe container to explore my practice and be at home with where I was in my body that day. The shift to online classes really kept that feel of a warm community despite being online and I am grateful to have the opportunity to continue to practice through these times. I loved the way Denise taught and had been considering doing my Yoga teacher training for a long time, COVID19 present me with an abundance of time and I found out that Atlas had created an online platform for YTT. It seemed like prefect timing and I took the plunge. I am so glad that I did, the course was enlightening, engaging and despite being online we were able to develop deep connections in the class I was in as well as connecting with other teachers at the studio. I completed the program feeling confident and prepared to start teaching and the studio provided times to put all the learning into action right away. I wasn't sure where to go to do my yoga teacher training, I didn't do much research and my heart was telling me to go with Atlas Studio. At the time I wasn't sure why but my heart knew exactly what was best for me... Denise, my teacher (and the studio owner) brings such an amazing space. She has a beautiful, loving presence and is extremely knowledgeable. She's always continuing to further educate herself as well. Every single person I've met through the studio are such kind, warm hearted people. I've made amazing connections, I have a safe/love filled place to come to, and I've learnt so much. I'm truly grateful. As for covid restrictions, I'm surprised with the connections I've made, and the energy I can feel from everyone even though we're speaking and taking classes through technology. I wasn't sure about it at first, but Denise has built a platform that really works well and makes the most out of this situation! I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Not every yoga studio has the level of heart that Atlas has consistently upheld for all the years I've been enjoying their classes and trainings. While every business has areas for improvement - Atlas counts where it matters. Tired of the same old routines? Atlas classes are tailored towards the students who show up that day (meaning you don't just do the same old sequences) and the teachers are highly attuned to students' individual needs. Classes are also reasonably priced, and there are lots of options for folks with financial barriers. I highly recommend this studio and all of its faculty. Since the studio moved their teachings online, I've been able to access courses and classes from a distance, and am so glad that I have been able to reconnect with this awesome group of humans. read more

I have never been to the studio in person, but have been doing my yoga teacher training with Denise since September. I feel completely supported and am given ample feedback and opportunities to teach full classes in my 200hr journey. It is not easy to transition to a fully virtual format, but Denise has done a great job of collecting her resources into an online course. I love that most of the learning is done synchronously over Zoom in monthly intensive weekends, but that we have access to this vast resources forever. I would definitely recommend going to Atlas Studio for your teacher training if you want to come out feeling confident and supported. read more

I have been to quite a few yoga classes here. The staff are there a minimum of 15 minutes before your class so that you are able to use their change rooms or washrooms, and set up your mat or one of theirs before the start of class. They have a ton of books that you are welcome to read while at the studio. The space is fairly large, with one giant window that lets in lots of beautiful, natural light. The staff answered all my questions and even modified certain poses specifically for my back pains. I would definitely recommend taking a class here, or getting a Thai yoga massage. Denise is simply amazing!! Very insightful and understanding, she adapts her teaching methods to individual needs. I took my 200 YTT with Denise and it was inspiring, informative, fun and challanging!!! Love this yoga studio! They offer more than just yoga: different types of massage and a range of meditation/breathing etc. workshops. Denise is a wonderful teacher, she can easily tune in to how your feeling and where you're stiff and sore. She's such a lovely, helpful, sensitive, wise yoga teacher, not to mention the rest of her staff is also great. The studio is always flowing with positive energy. read more
