We are here from Washington, D.C. renting an apartment in Prati district near Vatican. We got so…read moretired of Pizza and Pasta that we had to get this food no matter what. It specializes in Filipino food, which is so good. I had a shrimp soup called sinigang with hip on. Oh boy, so good and tangy. I'm Pinoy so this is comfort food to the max. I rarely eat it because I don't cook and my mother hasn't in long time. This was just as good, if not just a bit better than my mom's cooking.
We had gone to Vatican museum, and were famished so came here around 2 pm, late for lunch, but it was pretty filled up. We went overboard and ordered $50 of food. The prices are reasonable, less than 7 euros for entree, but we ordered 3 entrees, 2 appetizers dishes of lumpia, plus a dish called generoso, which was a combo plate. So full we had to back to apartment for siesta and I am about to nap! 6 more days here, but definitely going back for carryout next week!
This is near the Cipro metro station, which is closest stop to Vatican Museum.
