We are now in 2026 and despite several follow ups, the management has failed to make an arrangement to deliver the fully paid for appliances or arrange a refund. Sean was amazing he took so much time explaining to us the different brands and even went so far as to bring a washer I was considering to the back of the shop. He hooked it up and let it run a complete cycle so I could see and hear for myself how well it work. Upon delivery of my new washing machine I called Sean to let him know that I did not receive the hot and cold water hose. He explained that they are no longer included but said it was no big deal and he would drop it off for me. To my surprise Sean took time out of his day to go to home depot and purchase the hose free of charge to me and bring it to my house. In this day and age that level of service is unheard of. I am so grateful for everything and highly recomment Appliance Bazaar ok Kennedy to everyone. And I absolutely love my new Huebsch washer. Thanks a million Sean.

His work is very thorough, and he stands behind his one-year warranty. Roughly six months ago, he fixed my (clothes) dryer when the the motor burned out. More recently, another issue (unrelated to the motor) required his attention, and - because he is firm about his warranty - he didn't charge me for the extra cost of ordering a part or the labour involved, even though this second issue with my aging dryer had nothing to do with the first problem. We've been calling on Chad for over 20 years to fix and maintain appliances for us. I thought it was about time I write a review for him. My son is a contractor, but sometimes needed help with the old appliances we inherited. Both my son and I have called him to fix various appliances in our home. We had a piggy back washer and dryer that had seen better days, upstairs in my place, he kept it alive with short visits every now and then for ten years. We finally had to admit it had go and bought a second hand super set on Kijiji. My son installed that. I have a frig in my kitchen, also on the second floor, that I bought to replace the clunker that was there and also finally died. I paid Chad $300.00 for it, second hand and refurbished, 15 years ago, it still works like a charm. That price included installation and removal of the old one. Last month it was time to address the washer and dryer in the lower unit. The washer had all sorts of problems, the dryer was dead for sure. Again Chad came, confirmed the dryer dead, sold me an almost new one, took the old (huge and heavy) old one apart and took it away, brought the new one in, installed it etc, including having to remove and then replace railings etc . He also rebalanced the washer replaced one $50 part, and the entire job cost me $600.00, including what Ipaid him for the new washer. He was friendly as ever, came when he said he would, and it was all done in three days! He's the first person I'd call, whenever I have a problem again, in the future.

Oddly, I can only buy garden items in person at a garden centre but am forbidden to buy them at a Dollarama or big box store while I'm there. Uh okay, fine. With all the craze in the plant community, downtown big box stores are selling out of orchid mix and giant potting soil bags for online pickup. Local garden centres rarely carry stock online and aren't too helpful on the phone either, so you'll have to pay them a visit to pick it up. East End Garden Centre has all you need and more to get your outdoor urban garden started. They have lovely wooden trellises, stones and soil at reasonable prices. I picked up a few bags of veggie soil for only $5.99 for a 30L bag, a better deal than the commonly found Miracle-Gro in big box stores. Potting soil that is usable indoors is $1 more. All the reasons to shop local! If you don't have the room or time to start your seedlings, you can pick them up for $4. I see strawberries, peas, but no tomato plants yet. I came on a Sunday; it was bustling but not packed, so social distancing is possible. I browsed their houseplant section indoors briefly, not too attractive and slightly more expensive than other local shops I frequent. The drawing point continues to be their outdoor gardening and landscaping items, but if you're lucky to spot something nice, you can pick up a houseplant baby as well.
