can't say enough about country meadows and their incredible staff. Krystal Spinella, director of…read moreresident services is amazing. she is friendly, helpful, kind, quick to respond and goes above and beyond to help her residents and their family. My mom has been a resident there since the end of march and has made lots of friends. overall, I rate them a 5

After touring numerous facilities we begged for admittance at country meadows. The biggest plus there is that they are well staffed and my dad would have the proper care that was necessary, the patient to staff ratio was one of the highest I saw and this makes a big difference in the care you would receive. (previously, prior to the amputation he was at New Eastwood in Easton where he'd press a call button and over an hour and a half later would soil himself because nobody responded, so staffing number's definitely count)..... Throughout the whole stay at Country Meadows the staff all cared for my father very well, he liked some of the food and some he did not. Although he got a bed ulcer, he previously had the start of it at the hospital so CM was definitely not to blame. Their showers are clean and easy accessible and they have the staff to bathe residents twice a week. They even have a salon to get your hair washed in the interim. Everyone there was accommodating to his needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for short term rehabilitation or even long term care. I felt that my dad was safe there every time I left from a visit.

If you want your loved one to be rushed with everything, treated rotten, as if they are not human…read moreand just objects, this is the place! The care is absolutely horrible.. I would say 8 out of 10 employees are simply there for a paycheck and couldn't care less about the rehab patient. My family member is there short term for rehab.. Too many wrongs to list, but my 2 biggest are 1- waiting more than 30 minutes to use the restroom in the middle of the night, completely dark, she had to feel her way to the bathroom, and yet your told you can't get out of bed until someone comes?? Luckily she didn't fall going by herself. There is no decency for the fact that these elderly are actually human beings that deserve basic needs met, especially when the facility is being paid to do so!! 2- I bought her a coffee, got there at noon.. the highlight of her day, is to have her coffee (no restricted diet) .. she always has her coffee at 4 pm.. before I left, I asked 2 nurses if they could please warm it for her.. I was told we're not allowed to do that!! So much for personal care that is mentioned in their home page write up! This is just plain nasty, rotten, and unacceptable.. these patients have nothing while there here, a little decency and personal care is non existent anymore, and I'm soo sick of it.. I wish just one rehab facility or nursing home could prove me wrong!! Please please please, don't believe what you are being told to get you in there, they are neglected, and the only patients that will have a good review are the ones that lay in their bed quietly, keep their mouth shut, and don't ever need a THING!

Today I visit, dad couldn't cut the chicken and peas were dried up and shriveled. I asked for foods to be heated up as always and was told no, pts could not have food microwaved, after doing it almost daily! My dad was hungry and he lost close to ten pounds but they are refusing to let him eat!! I called the state. So much of his clothes and other resident's clothes missing as per multiple nurses statements. And the DOR who was just fired, let's just say I can't wait for the state to call me tomorrow.

I was not a fan of them moving in due to my perception of "nursing homes" but I learned otherwise in the four+ years they were there. Literally every single person we interacted with from the nursing staff to rehab to cooks, laundry, maintenance staff, etc. was like family. The professional level of care that my parents received (and us as their family) cannot be overstated except to compare it to the compassion that went with it. We were really clueless about what the last years of their lives was going to entail, and the staff here did it so much better than we ever could have. My husband and I ended up getting on the waiting list and now have a deposit down on one of the carriage homes being built; it doesn't get any better than this for end of life experiences. Aside from the fact that the carriage homes are gorgeous, the kind of care that is there as a "safety net" is exactly what we want. The added bonus is us both being on the same campus if one of us starts to fail in later years; not only does the other one not have to move, they can walk to visit, take meals and do activities together, and in some cases actually be together in the advanced care. (My parents were together in Memory Care.). I highly recommend Lutheran Home @ Telford.

My father moved into independent living while my mom had to go into skilled nursing. My father is able to visit my mom everyday since they were located within the same campus. Bad weather no problem, you only have to walk across an enclosed bridge. The various levels of care both my parents have been receiving is exemplary. Telford Lutheran is like the Ritz Carlton of care facilities. When I would visit my Aunt in Florida I wondered why she did not get the same care at her facility. She was paying almost the same every month. Telford may be a little more than other communities but it shows in the care and people they hire. If you are searching for a place for your parents I would put Telford Lutheran on your list to review. You will not be disappointed.
