The first day we arrived to San Miguel, I went here with my friend who was getting married and her family. It was interesting that they wouldn't let us sit on the upstairs rooftop patio because we had someone who was under 18 with us. However, I think it worked out because it did start raining a bit and we were still seated upstairs but in the indoor section. I ordered the Tuna Ceviche and Baja Tacos which were soo delicious!! I love sushi, but I wasn't impressed with the Nigiri Tasting. This is one of the prettiest restaurants in San Miguel. The roof top sits you next to the church where you can see the person who rings the bell. It is stunning! The food was really good! I had the Delmonico with truffle and it was very good. Portions are on the small side. We ended with the chocolate banana tart which was delicious. read more

Nice place for lunch or dinner near the church. We arrived around 4:30 p.m. and ordered the tuna roll, ramen, crunchy red snapper, and sea bass. The complimentary bread was fantastic, and the tuna roll was very tasty. Unfortunately, the ramen was a letdown -- the broth lacked depth and flavor, and didn't resemble traditional ramen. The crunchy snapper was also disappointing; it was oddly served without much actual fish, though the rest of the dish was fine. I'm guessing the fried fish was meant more as a garnish than an actual dish. The sea bass was good. Service was on the slower side, but overall it was a decent dining experience. read more

Amazing food with a rooftop view of the church. We had red wine, Malbec and Tempranillo, both were excellent, and for dinner the tuna tratadito dish was our favorite. The view from Atrio is amazing. Easily the best view of the Parroquia. Food was fantastic. This is where the magic ends. The hosts are terrible. Not friendly, no greeting, look as if they're forced to be there. The hostess walks around with her hand on her earpiece as if she's a musician. I figure she does this to avoid speaking to guests. This should have been a red flag as the rest of the service for the evening was awful. We called ahead, several weeks ago, to let them know it's very special anniversary and requested closer seating to the edge on the rooftop. They didn't take any requests into consideration and sat us near the bathroom, which was busy with foot traffic you could feel on the elevated platform. Once our food was delivered, we received zero further visits from the server. NONE! We finished our meal and when I requested the check, I made it clear to the cashier that we had not seen our server for any water or cocktail refills. She didn't care and asked what percentage I wanted to tip. Hahaha. This place has too much pride, which the view may allow. It's too bad we won't be back and will make certain not to recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place has the most amazing views! The parroquia is right on your face. We made the reservation via WhatsApp which I recommend downloading for when traveling to Mexico (how everyone communicates there) Made it for 7 pm in February and it was dark out but the weather was lovely with sweaters on. We ordered the steak, Caesar salad and asparagus which were an acquire test. They tested like churros as they came with honey and were fried. Unfortunately the steak had a lot of fatty and hard to eat but the Caesar salads dressing was so good and delicious! I recommend coming here for date night as it feels intimidate. The location is amazing from art works on display downstairs to the rooftop atmosphere and design every element spoke sophistication but not complicated. We dined here because our host recommended a restaurant nearby which was closed. We were not disappointed. You can't beat the view! And we found the food to be tasty, well prepared snd beautifully served. The service was a tad slow, but this isn't McDonalds. I had the sea bass and my wife had a 7 course tasting menu which was a feast for the eyes. The stairs are not for the feint of heart, but the reward is worth the effort. This turned out to be my absolute favorite place to eat in SMA. Stunning views from the rooftop during dinner. Live entertainment that lightly interacted with the people eating. Great service and amazing food. I loved the CAESAR - Lettuce, brioche croutons, traditional dressing to start and the DUCK A L'ORANGE - Spicy orange confit, onion and caramelized peeled orange slices, for my main course was brilliant. The place has a beautiful outdoor terrace but even though Mexican law prohibits smoking, the restaurant allows smoking... so avoid it if you don't like cigarette smoke while you're eating. I've been to the top restaurants in Mexico and none allow smoking anywhere within their premises. read more

Aloha, Atrio in San Miguel roof top is worth going to while in San Miguel. Centrally located, fun tree to take pictures under in lobby. They even have ramen! We shared a few appetizers and each had our own main dish. Pretty much all dishes were good, except the Duck L'Orange was dry and hard and the sashimi spices weren't quite what we're used to, shucks. Would have been a 5 star experience. It's very chilly up on the roof, the staff turns on the heat lamps an will provide a lap blanket too, nice. We had amazing lunch here up on the rooftop deck, and everything was perfect, the location, the close-up view of the San Miguel cathedral right next door and of the mountains and historic city landscape. The cocktails were incredible - my favorite was the Los Dragones tequila with passion fruit - so fresh! We had an assortment of tapas - the crunchy optics (amazing(, duck tacos (unique w/ Asian flavors), tuna ceviche w/ poblano (really tasty), hamachi ceviche (so fresh and good), black rice (a local specialty; delicious) and suckling pig (really tender). Went to this beautiful rooftop bar/restaurant just for drinks this evening before going elsewhere for dinner. Has to be one of the greatest views of the Church in San Miguel - and the space is quite attractive. The bartender and support staff were attentive and quick. One sour note, we walked into the downstairs lobby at 6:15pm and asked the two "hostesses" if we could go up to the roof for a drink at the bar. She said she would have to ask... Based and the back and forth dialogue on their phones, you would think we were asking to go inside the White House. Finally, she allowed us to go up. There were 9 other guests up there!!! That's it - 9 people - and seating in the "lounge area for about 40. The Manager happened to be up there and I told him she made it difficult for us - he responded by saying that they don't open until 7pm. So why were 9 other people up there and why didn't they just tell us they were closed? We could have gone to any one of the other 500 bars in San Miguel. You're either open or you're not. read more

We stopped in here for roof top drinks last night prior to dinner elsewhere. It is a beautiful spot right off the main square. It has amazing views over the valley on one side and the Cathedral on the other. They have plenty of staff here to attend to every need. The decor is mid century industrial with lots of potted plants. The dress code like everywhere in San Miguel is casual. We did not need a reservation but of course that changes depending on the time of year. Don't miss this fab little gem with plenty of opportunities for fabulous picture taking. read more

What a bad experience We thought we were going to eat but we change our mind and we decided to drink only after we were seated, one of the employees came and told us that that first drink is all they can serve us that we can't have no more service from them. Who does this ?
