We are so happy and also so sad to be writing this review because this means our wedding is over! From the moment we heard about an all-inclusive type venue in a neighbouring city, to the first meeting, all the way up to the last hour of the wedding, we had a fabulous time and amazing service. The Atrium really does deliver on a "stress-free" wedding package. Some of our favourite parts of the process: -working with Kylie, Alex, and Tanner to make sure every detail was unique and perfect -the AMAZING drinks and friendly service from the mixologist, Patrick -having original signature drinks that our guests LOVED -the out-of-this world anti-pasto buffet, 4-course dinner, dessert display, and the late-night live-pierogi station in addition to the late night food -the 4-tier cake that was included in the package and made in-house -the beautiful venue (especially the patio and the bridal suite) -the recommendation for our wedding photographer, Moussa (FotoReflection) -the small touches like the pianist and wonderfully decorated backdrop -the shuttle service to the hotel and the service received at the Hilton Garden Inn Did I mention how good the food was? We had a lot of guests with dietary restrictions and Alex was able to accommodate it all. This is especially impressive when catering to a large Italian family. We felt like we didn't have to "plan" for anything because the Atrium truly took care of all of the important things. This was amazing throughout the last two years due to all of the COVID concerns. They always kept us in the loop, celebrated with us when we were able to have our food and cake tasting, and really did deliver on a safe and fun wedding. I have no regrets choosing the Atrium for the best event of my life and we are so happy that we had no challenges that whole day. We had my mom's celebration of life at the Atrium several years ago and my sister recently had her wedding & shower here. We were told we were "now family", yet the owner (Alex) on multiple occasions kept referencing "mother of the bride", and set up a spot for our mother at the menu tasting stating we were just waiting on her to arrive. We had to continuously remind him our mother passed away even on the day of the Wedding. When corrected he did not respond with an apology or any compassion. Several other issues but this one hurt the most. read more

Absolutely terrible experiences. The manager broke both verbal and written promises. There were fewer servers and chairs than agreed, guests left standing, and no assistant for the bride and groom. The bartender was drinking on the job, ignored guests, and even swore at the bride in front of people. Then we were charged for extra alcohol. Completely unprofessional- this venue ruined my daughter's wedding. Do Not book here. read more

Our wedding recently took place at The Atrium on October 10th, and The Atrium team demonstrated nothing short of exceeding excellence in all that they did for us! We booked our wedding nearly two years in advance here and from the very beginning Alex, the owner, was extremely accommodating. He worked with us on costs, provided some extra services to us, and was always present to answer any concern we had on short notice. He was quick to adapt to the current times, keeping us well appraised of the extensive measures he had in place to prevent any worries about COVID, and he unquestioningly implemented extra measures which we had wanted to ease our minds. The day of the wedding was absolutely nothing short of perfect - and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it was absolutely the best day of our lives so far. The day leading up to the ceremony was well planned and quite regimented, all direction left to Alex and his staff. In his words, they, "told us when to breath, when to smile, when to stand and when to sit" which was a load off of our minds and served to enhance the feeling that this was our day, and we needn't have a worry. After the beautiful ceremony, we were whisked off to do pictures while the ceremony room was flipped, turning into a second dining room for cocktail hour. Flipping the room this way was always planned, but instead of just utilizing it for cocktail hour, Alex had the genius idea to utilize the room for the entire evening as a social distancing tool, keeping each room with a respectable count of people. Finally, to facilitate this for the guests so they wouldn't feel isolated, he had a live feed of the head table and dance floor projected to this second room, so that the guests could experience the whole night with us even though they were in another room. If Alex had not done this, we would have had to either cut much of the guest list, or reschedule, so we're very thankful for his ingenuity and quick thinking. The reception continued this theme of regimentation and practicality, as we sat at the head table, enjoying the evening with our wedding party. His team kept us and our MCs in the know, keeping us appraised of how meal preparation was going in the kitchen and aware of when speeches need to be done or when we had to do anything. Although all guests were required to wear masks any time they left their table, this was a welcome addition to the evening's procedures and added to everyone's peace of mind. The food was beyond a shadow of a doubt the best food we have ever had in our lives. Alex and his team prepared a lavish meal for us, consisting of four courses. The soup and pasta courses were exquisite and very well recieved, but the absolute show stealer was the main course. With a choice between 3 different meats, any and all needs were catered to. As a surprise, the staff came around with a second choice of meat as the guests finished their first. Most of us were absolutely stuffed at that point, but having that option for guests who wanted more was extremely generous. Finally, the tail end of the evening was full of dancing and jolly celebration. Guests wore masks on the dance floor, but by this point in the evening, it was merely a formality. The pandemic was not on anybody's mind as they tore up the dance floor, albeit from a safe distance. The DJ did a fantastic job of working in a mixture of requests we had given and their own prepared music. All in all, every guest left with a huge smile on their face, our wedding a much needed evening out full of laughter, top of the line service, and positivity. If I had to give it a rating out of ten, I would say a scale of ten wouldn't be high enough. Alex and his team gave us 150/100! We and our guests cannot thank them enough for the day full of joy and indulgence that they provided us. If we could do it again, we'd do it a thousand times over. This was such an incredible surprise put together by my man Damian Lockhart and The Atrium - Burlington's Premier Boutique Venue for our first anniversary together. You guys outdid yourselves and I'm still blown away by all the exquisite little details that went into planning this special day. From being greeted at the front door with a red carpet and long stem roses, to personalized balloons and the most delicious homemade meal personally catered for us; it was a fairy tail! The staff was courteous and friendly, and made us feel right at home in such a gorgeous setting. This place is unreal! Definitely worth the cost!! I want to gift this experience to everyone I know. We had the pleasure of going through a multicultural, pandemic wedding with the Atrium and it was a wonderful event. Alex made sure the event was planned and executed so that our guests were not only wowed by the Atrium's hall and wonderful decor but safely distanced as well. The Atrium Banquet and Conference centre is tucked away on a corner of commercial building plaza. If you weren't looking for it you would probably miss it. The location is not as easily accessible from the street as well as you have to wind your way through the parking lots of the buildings that are part of the complex, but once your there..probably one of the best banquet halls in the area. Greeted by Atrium staff at the front door you are directed towards your appropriate area. We were located in one of the smaller rooms in the facility as our group was not that big. I have been here on different occasions for different functions and the largest venue is the Atrium room which is great!! High ceilings, glass window venues, large dining and dancing area. Our area is was smartly decorated and the table layouts were excellent. I could go on about the location, but the stars of the location was the staff and the food!! In our event the staff was super attentive and friendly. They were on top of the food service during the cocktail hour and during dinner. The area was maintained and bussed with precision. The food at banquet hall venues can be very hit or miss...usually its a miss (undercooked meat, cold sides etc..) All the times I have been to the Atrium it has been top notch. We were first introduced to the salad course in which the presentation was excellent. Long cucumber slivers surrounded the salad which made a natural bowl. Fresh spring mix, soaked pear slices and a tasty dressing made the salad! The next course was a Four Cheese Risotto, this was one of my favorites! Perfectly cooked Arborio rice and a tasty four cheese blend. We were then presented with the main course. The choices of bone in Veal chop, Stuffed chicken breasts and Tilapia. I tend not to order red meat at banquet venues, for the fact that they never cook it to my liking (understandable because of the number of people) . I ordered the stuffed chicken breast with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes along with seasoned vegetable medley (safe choice as they have to cook all the chicken to one temp) The taste of my dish was amazing!! The chicken was juicy and cooked throughly, the stuffing was tasty and a good complement. The bernaise sauce that topped the chicken was excellent with the chicken and the vegetables. I also looked at the Veal chop and Tilapia, from what I was told was excellent as well. The servers came around with extra portions of food to ask guests if they would like to try something else. The dessert course came with a deconstructed mixed berry cheesecake. I personally found the cheesecake very salty..weird.. Our company has had functions at other venues in the area and they have been good, but if your looking for one of the best in the area I would suggest the hall that is hard to see from the road and a task to get to. TLDR; Promises everything and the kitchen sink. Promptly DELIVERS everything, the kitchen sink, and the bathroom sink for good measure (and to make you feel guilty about doubting them to begin with). Though our event is in the past, it and the Atrium were so nice that I remembered it today, exactly one year later, and decided to write this review. ------------------------------ My parents are quite careful people, when it comes to making important choices. After visiting banquet halls across the GTA, they filtered about twenty choices, ending up with a spreadsheet ranking them all. I suspect, based on past experience, that the spreadsheet involved weighting factors and algorithms. Which is why, when they came to me telling me that 'Alex' at the Atrium Banquet & Conference Centre had promised to do more than anyone else at a substantially lower price, I doubted. I kept doubting, even more when they told me he had kept increasing his promises, and throwing in services for free. Surely, there must be some catch? I didn't have time to doubt at the event, because I was busy filling myself with the special treats he had filled the luxurious couples suite (which overlooks the main banquet hall) with after interrogating me to find out what was my favorite (it was there). I didn't have time in the wonderfully decorated hall. I certainly didn't have time through the perfectly organized event, catered exactly to my taste, with the smoothest operations I've seen. The problem, perhaps, is that Alex comes off as such a genuinely nice guy. With my skeptical nature, I have a hard time believing those exist out there in the wild. When, though no fault of Atrium, some conflict broke out in the attendees of our function, and Alex went to the some lengths to apologize for something he had no responsibility at all for, and to try to make it up to us (of all things), I really had no doubts left. The hall, though having a non-typical layout, looks stunning when done up. The services they provide themselves are top-notch. The place is very accessible. The prices are far better value than any where else. More than anything, however, the quality of genuine, caring service you'll get here is outstanding. Initially, the owner of the Atrium is all charm and generosity, claiming that all his clients are "like family". However, I had the very unpleasant experience of seeing his true colours. We are a small, non-profit charity and booked our 2018 fundraiser with The Atrium. Though they could not accommodate our numbers, the owner of the Atrium said they would do the catering and booked another venue for us. After doing some checking, we discovered that we had been overcharged for the venue and asked for the owner's help in lowering our cost. When he realized we had checked, he became very angry, closed his file with an abrupt movement and said, "This meeting is over." Though I am now retired, I have been in business most of my life and have never, even in tough negotiations, been treated in such an unprofessional and un businesslike manner. Unfortunately, some men still treat women this way. We had already paid a sizeable, non-refundable deposit and couldn't change the venue at this point. After a few weeks and, I would surmise, some reflection on the damage he had done to his reputation, the owner did extend a discount to us. In addition to the very poor treatment we received before the Gala, the serving staff at the event was inexperienced and ate from the buffet before the guests did. We also had numerous complaints from our guests that the buffet food was cold. Though this man does not lose an opportunity to proclaim how important his clients are to him and how amazing the Atrium's food is, we were left with quite the opposite impression. read more

We had our wedding at the Atrium in September 2020. I cannot imagine having it at any other location. The venue itself is elegant and beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing and our family and friends are still talking about it. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect. I would give them a 10/5 if I could. I highly recommend The Atrium for your wedding. Alex and his staff go well out of their way to make their clients part of their family. They make sure that everything is taken care of and that you can feel confident that your event will be fantastic. This past December my daughter and her fiancé booked The Atrium for her wedding reception in August of 2022. On March 17, the received the horrible news that the cancer my mom had so bravely fought had returned and would take her from us. One of her wishes was to see my daughter, her oldest grandchild, get married. With her health failing, Katelyn contacted Alex to see if there was any way we could put together a small immediate family wedding ceremony so my mom could see her marry. Despite covid restrictions and the very difficult year this has been for businesses, Alex, without question jumped into action and put together a day that looked like it had been planned for over a year. She was catered to in the bridal suite and had the most amazing scones, muffins and veggies/fruit. We sipped coffee and memosas while we got ready then had lunch of one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. David was put in the hotel and received food there and then was shuttled to the venue. The ceremony room was set up and was very pretty. We moved around the venue and took pictures and had excellent service from all the staff. The wedding began on time and was perfect and we were left afterwards to take pictures. The day was magical and Kate was able to give my mom a precious gift. These memories will always be something we all are so grateful for. Alex and his staff went above and beyond to not only give her a wedding but to give her the perfect wedding. read more
