    Tempura Shrimp ($27)
    Chuan C.

I came on a Mon around 17:30 and stayed until 20:00 (taking photos and videos of course!). The restaurant had very few guests. Because they were not busy, the service was excellent! They even asked the sous chef to make sure the presentation was excellent; he didn't disappoint. Their menu changes seasonally. I ordered the following: 1. Coke ($). 2. Tempura Shrimp ($27). 3. Crispy Duck Leg Confit & Breast ($46). 4. Saskatoon Berry Cheesecake ($14). The Tempura Shrimp were tiger shrimp and were so plump, each about 1 inch diameter at the widest end! They were de-shelled and tempura battered. There were orange slices (orange), avocado slices (green), and chili slices (red), making the dish colourful. The Crispy Duck came with a leg and sliced breast portions. Accompanying them were tamarillo, sunchoke puree, bordelaise, dried kale chips, berry gastrique, and chopped candied pecans. All the ingredients worked well together, with mixtures of savoury and sweet tastes. The Cheesecake was amazing. The cheesecake itself was an upside-down half sphere. It was soft; I prefer that over the typical firm cake. There were miniature dried berries on top, along with a ruby chocolate sauce, and a sliced of dried red beet. Surrounding it was a soft marshmallow meringue which was lightly torched. The colour theme was red and white with a touch of dark blue. Daimon, the sous chef, plated everything expertly for me. There is plenty of indoor seating, of which one side has a view of the lake. There is lively music playing in the background. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washrooms. There is free street parking on weekends on a street running north of the restaurant. There is also a paid parking lot next to the restaurant. Always a wonderful spot to come to. Beautiful scenery. I've been here quite few times for lunch. This is my first brunch and it was delicious. We were seated right away and the hostess was very nice. The wait staff were also very attentive, almost too attentive because we were interrupted quite a few times during our conversation and meal. Maybe a touch less would be good, but this is only my own opinion. Still one of my favourite restaurants!

Returned to Spencer's at the Waterfront for brunch and was not disappointed. I enjoy visiting Spencer's on special occasions. At the recommendation of the service staff, I ordered the Crab Cake Egg Benedict (lemon aïoli, boston lettuce, chive hollandaise), served for weekend brunch only. Similar to my previous meals here, the food had subtle layers of flavour that came together nicely with every bite. I tend to gravitate to food that I can't get at other restaurants. The server informed us that the meal was not served on brioche like the other Egg Benedict's, but I was still full with the side salad (yeh, no arugula). My husband ordered the side fries so his belly was full. There were two crab cakes with eggs, and plenty of crab inside. I was glad that I didn't taste fillers. Service was good and we sat at a table with a waterfront view. The Sloane tea and beverages were a pricey and small for what they were, hence one of the reasons I don't come here as frequently. Overall, I enjoy the food here.

The patio seating is terrific - overlooking the lake (why would you want to sit indoor) The food was delicious and the portion was just right and tastefully presented Shout outs to the quiche, Brussels Sprouts and the lobster roll - and last but not least to Steve who was outstanding The oyster were not the best I've eaten and the salmon gravlax Benedict could do with less bread But after all is said and done, my litmus test is the fries- and here they are top notch Will be back

I know.. what is a Richmond Hill'billy doing all the way in BurlingtonIA!!! Well, it's to get to Spencer's on the Waterfront! This is the premier destination for all that is amazing about the Waterfront out west of Toronto. The location is amazing. During the summer, it's the spot to go for walks and spend time with fam and friends. During the evenings, you can just take in the lights and the waves. There are playscapes, and for winter fun, there is a skating rink just below the restaurant. Something is always happening at the park. Anyway, let me tell you about Spencer's. The funny white rubber tire peep that gives stars that look like the Yelp Logo missed Burlington! And if they were out there, Spencer's should be a bright shining star. BUT who needs it...!!! Spencer's is what I consider the best of Burlington. From the moment you step into their restaurant and event space, you get that the feeling that it's going to be great night - cue The Black Eye Peas! Food here is incredible. Every course is delicious. The chefs really know how to put a proper cook on the meats and seasoning is always on point for their dishes. Their dessert game has really been up'ped since my last visit. Everything is made in house with the freshest and best ingredients. That seafood tower was so fresh, i swear that the lobster and crab could walk off the table and take the oysters with them. Yikes! LOL! The people here are attentive, friendly, and they deliver what we expect from a fine dining establishment such as Spencer's. OK... yes, this place will put you back a few bucks or pay checks, but totally worth it. Perfect dining place for celebrations or just the special night out with a love one. Or you're just a foodie and you have to try the best place in town. :) Recommendations? Sure... get the seafood tower, the pasta was great. Their duck don't disappoint. Burrata... oh yes please! Heck... get the whole menu, you are going to enjoy yourself. If you need a dinner date... I'm sure I can free myself for this place! TeeHeeHee...!!! CHEERS!!!!

Amazing view and delicious food! Service was a bit slow at first but I think it was not communicated that we were seated in this person's section. Took a while to get menus and finally put an order in. Everything was smooth sailing from there! Got a delicious blueberry mule drink and ordered some dishes to share. Loved the Ceasar salad which comes with baby kale. The tartar was amazing!!! And the eggs Benny over crab cakes was delish. The Brussel sprouts we're a bit heavy in roasty flavor but still great. Would return again if we're ever in the area maybe on a day with nicer weather for a better view. The only iffy thing is the parking. Paid parking is a bit ridiculous. They don't have a lot, so where it looks like their lot, it's actually the city's. Definitely don't forget to get your paid parking ticket cause they check

The waiting staff here are amazing; energetic and happy people who make you enjoy your meal even more. The restaurant has a great ambiance; good choice of music, splendid view of the Lake Ontario and varied selection of food to choose from. We ordered "Spencer's Platter" for appetizer. Nice collection of fresh oysters, crab leg, shrimp and Salman tataki. My favorite part of our meal. For mains, we ordered "Braised Lamb Shank" and "Striploin Steak with Fries" - medium cooked. Lamb shank was deliciously marinated and cooked. Steak was okay, but it was more of medium-rare and I couldn't enjoy as much as I should. To make our meal complete, we ordered "Chocolate Crème Brûlée " and "Upside Down Pineapple Cheesecake" for dessert. They were both delicious and had unique taste.

During the last long weekend, my family decided to visit the Burlington Lakefront for at chill and relax lunch at the Spencer's at the Waterfront Restaurant. I personally loves the atmosphere of this restaurant, especially the lakes view huge windows and the interior deco. The staffs service are excellent and my waitress manage to multitasking without any errors. Environment wise, this place is 10 out of 10 in a good sunny day. Now let discuss about the food. My sister commented their Beef Tartare and Salmon Tataki tasted very similar. Even though, one dish is beef and the other dish is fish. I personal believe the Nova Scotia Lobster Roll is a dish that you can totally skip. On the positive side, their 22 oz T-Bone is grilled perfectly and the grill smell really increased my appetite. T-Bone is also very flavorful, most likely it have been aged. The highlight of this meal is surprisingly the Coconut Sorbet dessert. It is so creamy and flavorful, it like eating a soft version of a coconut. My dad commented this Coconut Sorbet alone is worthwhile for driving to Burlington Lakefront. Overall, this is an excellent place for friends and family gathering. P.S. Parking can be very difficult on a long weekend and 3 hours max parking limit.

A really lovely spot in Burlington! I came here for a Wedding and the venue was amazing!! Views by the water were incredible! The servers and staff were very accommodating and friendly. I also LOVED the food. The menu was inventive and fun - the apple crumble dessert was delish but unfortunately I didn't get a snap of it because it was too busy eating it. Definitely recommend this spot and will be excited to go back!

I came here for a wedding. The host rented two of their wedding rooms. One of them was the solarium I believe. I thought the rooms where the wedding was held were gorgeous, but the common dinning room for the regular guest looked like any topical restaurants - Joey's equivalent standard. My expectations were high given all the instragram tags. Unfortunately the food did not amazing me, I felt like it was lacking in flavour. I would probably not come here for a dinner date, but I might consider trying their brunch buffet one day. Presentation: 9/10 Taste: 7/10 Parking: The restaurant is located between two paid parking lots. For the event the restaurant had their west lot reserved for the guests- guest did not have to pay.

The schnitzel that I ordered (Wiener Schnitzel) was enough to feed 3 people. Mine was with the potato salad that you pay an extra $2 (worth it in my opinion) or you could get it with rice and fries. It also comes with a salad. We also ordered the Potato Dumplings (Halusky) which brought memories of my trip to Slovakia a while ago. We also ordered some Pillsners Urkell to wash down our food. The schnitzel is a bit on the salty side so the Halusky, potato salad and salad provides a nice balance. The food took a very long time to arrive so that's something to be aware of. I'm not sure if it was a one off or if it's a regular occurrence. The food was worth the wait though. My advice will be to come as soon as they are open. The decor needs improvement but you are not coming here for the ambience. The food prices might seems expensive but when you compare it with the amount of food that you get, it's really not. There's parking at the back and the restaurant it's a bit lax about their opening time which is 5pm. We arrived at 5pm but needed to knock so they could open for us. It's in the same block as Dairy Cream so it was convenient for us. We did not finish our food as we were saving room for the ice cream. It's worth a visit if you are fan of schnitzels!

We were here for a weekend lunch and there were folks there for a late breakfast as well as another family with small children having a meal together. Based on the phone calls, it sounded like the place was booked full out that evening. We had (table of four): - Mixed Grill Platter (for two): it fed more like 3 - 4 people, lots of variety to pick at; Sausage (pork), Chevaps (pork and beef sausages), Raznjici (pork), Chicken Schnitzel and Karadjordjeva Schnitzel (Pork rolled & stuffed with prosciutto and cottage cheese) - Vienna Schnitzel (pork) - all the dishes comes with (potatoes OR rice) AND vegetables (buttered carrots, beans, broccoli, cauliflower); various potato sides (like crispy fries) as available and rice (like tomato gypsy based) There was enough food for four people plus leftovers as a side for dinner. The sauce was great on everything from the schnitzel to the fries. Service was quick, food was great, and it was all at a great value. Will be back to try their buttered fried mushrooms and nature (mushroom) schnitzel in future. A local staple!
