Dining room has a lot of style! Loved the red lights and lanterns! Food was outstanding!

Dropped in here while passing through town, after getting a tip from a sound guy up in Knoxville. So glad we dropped in here! The atmosphere is great! The red light really sets a tone - as you cans see from so many of the photos, but the food was on point! I had the curry ramen with chicken, and it was fantastic! I don't know how they get that crust on the chicken, but it held up in a bowl of noodles for a shocking amount of time! Love food piping hot and they delivered! Spice was perfect, and the cocktail I had was a perfect accompaniment to the spicy food! Highly recommended! I will definitely be back here next time in Chattanooga!

Went to Attack of the Tatsu and honestly... I was not prepared. We found this by chance and decided to stop by. Given that the seating outside was full, they took us to the bar, and it was WOW! The ambiance was just subpar. Walked in thinking it's just another Japanese spot. Walked out questioning why this place is ONLY in Chattanooga! the drinks were fun, but the food was next level. Had the katsu curry and Menchi burger. Every bite felt like: "okay wow... this is serious" Only complaint? We didn't order enough. Rookie mistake. We will def return whenever in the area!

So, my focus this week has been Chattanooga's Buger Week and we visited another local spot that offers a burger only one week a year. Being a Japanese restaurant, they of course used Waygu beef and the thickest burger I've seen this week, fused with a variety of Japanese flavors and ingredients. It was a great burger and I accompanied it with some pickled vegetables and edamame. The food was superb and with their expanded Japanese beer options, it made for a wonderful meal. Service here is always top shelf and I just love the vibe of the restaurant itself.

Man- Chattanooga we then found out! Attack has been one of my favorite dinning experiences in a while! From the food, to the ambience, the free arcade games, and then the fire food! Yall dont pull up because I want a table! I arrived at Attack on a Tuesday night after a long drive in from the coast. We were seated immediately and waited on by a great server. We tried everything, Japanese sodas (4/5, coolest part was the open) chicken katsu sando (5/5 especially with the chilli oil),edamame (2/5, was dry while soggy when salty, while flavorless lol idk), and an order of Ramen (4.5/5). We sat at the back bar, and it was the perfect vibe for this meal. Really transports you to Japan, while getting Smoky so wear clothes you dont care about smelling like Wok smoke! Come check them out for sure

Recommended to us by a local and we were blown away! The food, ambiance and service were all impeccable! A must visit when in Chattanooga!

From the moment that you walk in, you get the feeling that you stepped into some Back Alley, Ramen shop in Kyoto. I mean that in the best way. The motif is distinctly Japanese and the menu is a little bit of eclectic. But I suggest that you start off with the scotch egg. Yes, that's right - SCOTCH EGG. If you've ever had a scotch egg, you'll like this one because it's taken to a different level by using Panko as the crust. The egg in the middle is a perfectly cooked Ramen egg, and the combo in fusion of traditional meats. Japanese is amazing. Next, let's talk about the Ramen. There are other things on the menu, but why not go for what this place really does well. For this adventure, I chose the Japanese curry Ramen.. The thing I like Japanese curry for is the distinctive heat and bite. It meets all the criteria of a good curry sauce, but there's a very subtle wasabi element to it it doesn't just add heat, it adds punch. The curry Ramen had a very tangy and warming field to it right along with the perfectly cooked Ramen noodles and the perfectly cooked chicken Katsu cutlet. The service was excellent by the way, and our server was always attentive. There's a back room that has more of a cocktail bar feel to it, and that's where you can get a variety of beverages. If you're feeling adventurous, I would suggest the Japanese whisky. Enjoy a glass of Japanese malt is a scotch egg. I think the combination pairs perfectly.

Feels like I just stepped into a side street in Japan! Great! First impression in the back room of this place. We sat at the bar and could watch them make ramen. Very busy, loud, active environment. I ordered the vegetarian ramen which was great. The portion size is amazingly huge but I have a belly for ramen and so I ate all of it. Their sauces are definitely commendable and you should try them out. They also had a free sake shot for select guests in that room. Definitely a good buzz. I also tried their lychee spritzer which was average although I was expecting it to be much better than I thought it would be. Overall a great place for ramen.

Great spot! I almost forgot how good this place is. Asher was our server. He answered all our questions. I had the classic chicken Katsu bowl and my wife had ramen. It was all delicious. I thought we were done until Asher told us about the late night menu which had drink and food specials. We had the dumplings and 2 shots of hot sake for $1 each. We sat I. The patio which was illuminated by red paper lanterns to set the mood. Can't wait to come back and try the curry. Highly recommend.

We were so excited to visit a Japanese restaurant in town. A little pointer this sits back off the main street but plenty of free parking after 6pm. I will be honest when we first walked in, we were disappointed, I was looking for a sit down and service restaurant. We saw kiosks, a window bar and a couple of communal tables. We were then greeted by an awesome hostess who then basically showed us the ropes and said they had a full service lounge towards the back. Ok we are excited again. We were served immediately and I will say, I was expecting traditional Japanese Tonkatzu, another surprise, however by this time we embraced all that was new. We confirmed if they had traditional Japanese Curry and they did. We ordered one Tonkatzu curry bowl and a Tonkatzu curry ramen. They were both wonderful. I will say the Ramen will be my PHO dish for now on. The flavor was wonderful and unexpected. The bowl also, even though served different than what we really came here for, it did not disappoint at all. The lounge area is comfortable but a little too red inside for me, but we enjoyed all the same. I do see why this is a hot spot. Definitely worth visiting again.

This place is dope, we took a chance on a place that was close to our hotel and it did not disappoint! The ramen was insane, made especially delicious with the black garlic oil. The servers were so kind and attentive, we were sat quickly and received very efficient service. The cocktail lounge was a little loud for our liking, but we loved the vibe by the bar with the lanterns and there was ample seating. Excited to rate this place highly so others can find it!

Attack of the Tatsu is Chattanooga ramen bliss. Started with a mini katsu (crispy perfection), leveled up with tempura shishitos and that addictive dipping sauce, and ended up swimming in a massive bowl of shoyu ramen that I'd happily slurp on repeat. Big shoutout to Olivia behind the bar--keeping the vibes strong and the drinks on point. This place isn't just dinner, it's a whole mood.

Tried this spot on our last day in Chattanooga! The interior is super cute and trendy. There's a bright, airy seating area in the front and a moodier section in the back with dimmer lighting. We chose to sit in the front since the music in the back was a little too loud for us. For appetizers, we ordered the sliders and chicken karaage, both were delicious! For mains, I had the Pork Katsu Bowl and my boyfriend got the Menchi Katsu Sando. My katsu was on the dry side but still tasty. I actually liked his sando better, and I'd probably order that next time if we're back in Chattanooga. Service was decent, not very attentive but our waitress was nice.

What a cool spot, definitely recommend the back area if everyone is 21+. Menu options are all so good, especially the soba pork belly special I got. Ambience is so cool and drinks were great. No complaints!

Sushi Nabe was a very pleasant surprise…read more I ordered the Super Paitan Ramen, the Crazy Roll, and the vegetable gyoza. The ramen was excellent. The broth was rich, deeply flavored, and had the kind of body you hope for in a good paitan. The chashu was outstanding--tender, flavorful, and generous--and the bowl included thoughtful touches like shishito peppers that complemented the richness rather than competing with it. The Crazy Roll was another surprise. Too many American specialty rolls rely on cream cheese and heavy sauces. This one was balanced, with tamago adding sweetness and texture without overwhelming the other ingredients. It was creative without being overdone. The vegetable gyoza were clearly handmade and exceptional. What impressed me most wasn't any single dish--it was the consistency. Every component felt intentional. You get the sense that someone in the kitchen genuinely cares about the food they're serving. This isn't a flashy or trendy place. It's a comfortable neighborhood Japanese restaurant that quietly delivers thoughtful, well-executed food. I'll definitely be back.
