Went to Elsie's daughter for drinks and ended up staying for dinner too! Loved the cozy intimate atmosphere and our waiter was so nice and attentive to us. The had a lovely NA cocktail of the day & a nice selection of drinks. Got a charcuterie board and it was nice but looked a bit like ingredients that came right from the store. Entree was the daily fish which was delicious sans a few bones I encountered and had to pick out. Overall would come again!

Upon checking into hotel chalet we are informed by the front desk staff that if we ate at the hotel restaurant that we would get 20% off if we charged it to the room so that's what we decided to do. Very glad that we made the choice to eat here it is very charming, the patio is lovely and we dined indoors. The cocktails were tasty and our entrées were so good. I ordered the short rib Pappardelle the pasta sauce had a great depth of flavor, and it was a great portion and very filling. The staff were all wonderful. I would highly recommend the spot.

Neat little place tucked in behind the Choo Choo. Not a lot of locals as I feel this is fed by a lot of tourists staying at the hotel. The service is good, but laid back. If you're wanting a highly attentive server, this isn't it. Personally, I appreciate when a server knows when you need them and leaves you alone otherwise. Food is good/great. We had a mix of items like oysters, truffle fries, salads and charcuterie boards. Everything was good, but for the price point I was expecting a bit more.

My girlfriend and I had a nice dinner here Valentine's evening. Our server was great. We sat on the patio section which is covered fully and was warmed with propane heaters. The oysters were okay, and the Scallop dinner was good. She got the short rib pasta and mocktail and enjoyed both.

Boy was this spot different, all in a good way. A funky little courtyard (a bit warm in the middle of the summer) which we chose to enjoy a glass of wine and a small bite with our friends before dinner elsewhere. The interior is just as cool. Interesting BTG wine choices, a neat little menu and overall a good spot. Service was very good and we got some background on how this tony spot came to be. Will definitely eat dinner here next time in town.

Chic, cozy, and cocktail-perfect. We stopped into Elsie's Daughter for a quick pre-dinner drink with friends and were pleasantly surprised by this stylish, welcoming spot. The vibe is cool and relaxed, with an atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The staff was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. And the cocktails? Next level. Thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and full of local, seasonal flavors that shine through in every sip. We didn't try the food this time around, but the drink experience alone earns five stars. Absolutely a must-visit in Chattanooga--we'll definitely be back.

Popped in for a happy hour and was blown away by the house made vignette, the oysters were good, but the ginger jalepeno took it to the next level! I've enjoyed going for dinner, but will be back specifically for these happy hour oysters. Love the space and the patio!

Delicious comfort food with a twist. Elsie's daughter is a cute kinda hidden away restaurant attached to The Chalet Hotel. The interior decor is very tasteful and slightly eclectic and the outside terrace is just a little magical hideaway. We came in with no reservation on a Saturday night (not ideal of us to do), but Baija cleared us off a table and was also our server. She was truly awesome. Great service, very on top of everything. Checking in with us, making sure everything was tasting good and when a drink that we ordered wasn't quite to our liking she no questions ask was like "I will replace it for you". She asked what type kf drink my husband likes normally and then came back with a drink that was perfect for him. For our food we got the Bacon Wrapped Quil and the Shrimp and Grits. The quail was served with rice and broccolini and was cooked perfectly. The quail was well complimented by the bacon. The shrimp and grits were divine and surprisingly light, it didn't weigh you down after eating it. The sausage and peppers in it balanced out the dish really well. It was a fantastic dinner. Our food was great but the service was phenomenal. It's a great place for a quiet date night.

The atmosphere is super relaxing and made a great first impression. You enter through a metal gate that has ivy intertwined through it. The inside also a cool vibe. The service was excellent but I got there before typical dinner hours. As the restaurant filled up, I thought service would suffer but never did. Our waiter was friendly and attentive even when the tables were all full. The bar is made of wood appearing to be mahogany and is well stocked. The only reason for my three star review was the butternut squash soup. I eat this soup any time I see it on the menu. The rest of the food, including dessert was what you would expect from a good place.

I was curious when this place boasted 5 stars as a hotel restaurant. I was wrong. This cocktail bar is tucked cozily behind the converted train car rooms at Hotel Chalet and boasts some beautiful ambiance. The service was impeccable (they turned on some heat lamps outside and brought us blankets with our cocktails). We ended up coming back after dinner for a night cap and some dessert and were furthermore blessed with delicious cocktails and some amazing flourless chocolate cake and lemon bar style cookies. I couldn't have asked for anything more from a swanky cocktail bar and Elsie's Daughter absolutely nails it!

Brunch please! Came here for my birthday and it was wonderful! Such a cool vibe and we were in a covered, but controlled temperature patio. So it felt like we were outside. Our server was so awesome and attentive. Brunch menu was perfect, variety in Mimosas. Manager Jordan who I had spoken with the day before, came by. They made me feel like royalty on my birthday. I had the steak and eggs. Plates were empty. Definitely coming back here. Just the perfect amount of nice, without being too ostentatious. Go here you won't regret it. Also, the food we ordered doesn't LOOK fancy but it was great quality and good food.

Oysters 12/10 and service/ employees are fantastic! Green beans seemed like they were frozen and microwaved, very underwhelming.

Despite clearly being short staffed and having a busy night - we were greeted almost immediately and encouraged to help ourselves to a seat. We sat at a table away from the bar (only one available) and a server came by to take our drink order. Before he could return, another employee - who was running food to another table - immediately came over to us after to see if we wanted to order food (which we did!). She took our order, then the drinks arrived and before we knew it the food was out and was incredible! The menu is quite limited - and even more so when you one of you doesn't eat meat - and yet we were able to make a meal out of 2 caesar salads, the hummus plate and the deviled eggs. And don't even get me started on the cocktails! We started with a Manhattan and an Espresso Martini that were perfectly crafted. And then for our dessert round switched to their signature Old Fashioned. Each one was better than the next! Thanks for an incredible time, Whiskey Thief. We will definitely we back!

If you want outdoor seating, get here early because space outside is limited. Inside, there's plenty of seating options with high-top tables, couches, and bar seating that create a relaxed atmosphere. We came mainly for the view and drinks, and the view absolutely delivered. Watching the sunset over the river was easily the highlight of the experience and worth seeing at least once. For drinks, we ordered Old Fashioneds and Margaritas. Unfortunately, both were just average and didn't live up to the setting or atmosphere. Service was also disappointing. The staff was not very attentive, and at one point we actually had to leave our table and go to the bar to find our waiter. In the end, the incredible view couldn't make up for the mediocre drinks and poor service. Great view, but this ended up being a one-and-done visit for us.

I can't remember all the varieties, but we usually get 2 of each kind of oyster they have available. It's a great way to start for the adults and the kids seem to go to town on the saltines. STIR has an extensive drink menu including various whiskeys and mocktails. We've generally ordered some kind of fish and a salad/poke bowl. The kitchen does a really great job of not overcooking the fish and there's the perfect amount of salt, fat and acid to flavor. The only thing that could be better is how they cook their white rice - it's not fluffy and has more of a gummy texture in both their poke bowl and their seasonal bento box. Ordinarily we wouldn't get desserts when Clumpies is a brief walk over, but this time we got their matcha cheesecake and layered chocolate cake. Both were delicious but between the two, I'd say the cheesecake was the best. Service is generally great here - they're attentive, friendly and give great recommendations. I also like how kid-friendly this restaurant is with a kids menu and crayons. While the ambiance doesn't feel kid-friendly, I like that this space allows parents to feel like they're having a night out while still able to have the kids in tow. We're fans and would definitely come back.
