I tried AD Insulation because it looked like the type of small business I like to use. Not too much overhead. I described the home size etc and got a rough phone quote. The next day they showed up to look at the job. I was told my insulation was actually not too bad. Most still looked fine, the color was normal and it would insulate as well as brand new. They told me its not uncommon for people to think insulation is bad when they see little tatters hanging down. But in fact that is normal even with new insulation. So they gave me a new estimate to replace of poor insulation that had changed color along with the missing insulation. The cost was less than 1/2 the original estimate. What really impressed me was they could have easily said nothing and replaced all the insulation. I would have never known and would probably be still writing a 5 star review. I told them I needed it done quickly because I wanted it done before hvac install started. They came over the next day. I went under to inspect and found a couple of bays got missed. They came out Sunday morning to fix it because they knew my hvac started on Monday. I found one more issue and same thing, they came out next day even though I had already paid in full. When they showed up they taped down plastic from the front door to the crawlspace hatch. They use owens corning insulation. A small con is they were not that careful with the floor on the follow up visits i.e. did not put down any plastic. Its a nonissue because these were small followups. If I had asked them I'm sure they would have put it down.

He did my roof in April 2026 and failed to protect the roof adequately during a rainstorm and I sustained nearly $200,000 of damage to the interior of my home. Fortunately, my insurance is paying, but I will be unable to live in my home for 4-6 months. When he finished the roof, I was concerned about the quality of the roof work, so I hired another roofer to inspect Golden Top's work. The new roofer reported about 10 items that were incorrectly done or below industry standard. Armed with this report, I was able to get Golden Top to fix the items. If I hadn't gotten a new roofer to inspect and report, I never would have known how poor the work was. The worst of these was that Golden Top they had roofing nails penetrating through the exterior eaves all around the perimeter of my home. This is a major source of potential moisture damage. David agreed that is was not up to Industry Standards and agreed to repair it and he did. But he did a crappy job, and when I told him I was not satisfied, his comment to me was, "well, we are not painters. If you want to hire a painter to fix it, you can, but I am not paying for it." See photo of my finished eaves below - crappy paint job and left bare unpainted wood. All this and the roof and gutters with guards cost me over $90,000!!!!! You have been warned.

Hired twice, disappointed twice, had someone else finish the job twice…read more We bought a small, older home 4 years ago. The air conditioner went out on in the summer, 104 degrees outside. DeHart told us we needed a new unit, cost 15K. I decided to get a second opinion, the second opinion fixed our air conditioner for under $600.00, and it still works great to this day. It runs all day right now because I have no attic insulation at the moment. Which leads to my next story . The 2nd time we used them was few months ago. We paid $1,500.00 to have the attic cleaned and prepped for new insulation. Please refer to pictures for DeHart's finished product. What was left in the attic was Rat poison, old shingles, Rodent body, rusty nails, dirty insulation, Rodent poop, etc... I have called and emailed Dehart/Greenhart but have not had my calls returned. I had someone else finish cleaning the attic. I expected better quality. I do not want to invest into new insulation just to have it laid onto filth. I will be hiring someone else to reinstall insulation and clean my ducts. I also won't be calling them in the future when I DO need a new air conditioning unit and tank-less water heater.

I had another quote scheduled for later in the week but decided to use GreenHart since they had a crew that was willing to work on Saturday, which was only two days after Robert came out!! The guys came out first thing Saturday morning and knocked it out in only a few hours and now I have R-49 in my attic which has helped out tremendously since the house was built in 1972. Wish I could remember the name of the two guys that came out Saturday so I could give them a shout out too!!! Highly recommended with great customer service from all!
