From the very start of my engagement with Attic Bros it has been fantastic! I found them in a…read moresearch on Yelp and no joke, my 8 year old calls me Bro, so figured I would fit right in with the Attic Bros! I think within maybe 20 minutes of submitting my Yelp quote I had a call back and an appointment. Michael came out and did a THOROUGH inspection of the attic took a ton of before pics. But not only that he then sat down with me and went through the entire process, which is quite frankly, amazing. He also answered all of my questions and offered some input on my ducts. He made himself available for any other questions too, which was so nice since my husband wasn't around - there's always another question. With this process, not only do you get your old attic crud sucked out, they look for and seal any entry point for critters. They add mesh from the inside plus they go around the whole perimeter from the outside of the house too just to make sure they caught all entry points. They seal all air gaps from things like recessed lights and fans. And then they sanitize. Something about knowing my 70 year old house got a deep clean is VERY satisfying for my OCD cleaning tendencies. The insulation went in - they use a batting that is 12" thick, my attic before probably had an inch, maybe 2 in spots of the old blow-in stuff which was just dust and dirt and disgusting. This batting is eco-friendly - no pink artificial coloring, just the insulation which also is no longer harmful. Night one and I already saw a difference. Usually when it gets cold at night by 2:00 am our home temp inside drops, we stayed a steady temperature throughout the night, I might be a bit crazy, but it feels like there's a sound dampening effect too - I don't have to have the TV on as high of a volume. Follow-up, they add traps and will come back to monitor in a couple weeks to make sure there is no activity. Another over the top customer service layer - we had Jordan as our project/site manager for the day - I was texted by the system with his picture, LOVE this feature, its really helpful. And he called when he was closer. He kept me updated throughout the day and was just really kind, very professional and the crew he brought, Jesse and I did not catch the other gentleman's name - they worked so incredibly hard, and efficiently. We really appreciated this crew, they were amazing. If you are hesitating for any reason to get your insulation in your attic done - DON'T - it is 100000000% worth every dollar, which by the way is an incredible value when you really think about what it does for your home. I am quite mad at myself for not doing it sooner, but certain things had to happen first, so here we are! I would choose Attic Bros in a heartbeat and whole heartedly recommend them!

The communication was excellent, even on a holiday weekend I got called back within an hour of reaching out with questions, which I certainly did not expect! They arrived promptly for appointments and were thoughtful about avoiding tracking dirt into our home. They worked with us to customize their work to our coastal climate and were very transparent about exactly what materials they would be using (all top of the line, industral-grade!). I have pets and toddlers and they took my concerns about chemical disinfects seriously and offered several options to make sure I was comfortable with what was used in our home. They really seem to take pride in their work and enjoyed sharing before and after pictures to demonstrate all the improvements they made to our crawl space. I could not be happier with my choice to hire them, and plan to work with them again when I'm ready to replace my attic insulation.

Beyond easy experience with Chris. My dryer suddenly started giving off a burning smell, which I…read moremistakenly attributed to the lint catch being overloaded. But even after cleaning it out, the smell wasn't going away. Then the vent started giving off either smoke or steam, and in a panic I immediately turned off the dryer. Thank God I didn't start a dryer fire. The second I shut it off and made sure everything was ok, I opened Yelp and searched for a dryer vent cleaner. Chris's Insulation came up, he had great ratings, he was super close by, so after calling a different service and going to voicemail, I called Chris. Chris picked up after the second ring. When I told him that I needed someone to clean our dryer vent and what had happened, he said he could come out either between 5:00 and 6:00 pm that evening or the next day. It was already mid-afternoon when I called, so I was surprised to hear him say he could still come out same-day, but I decided to have him do that since I was free and also still a little shaky following what happened with the vent either smoking or steaming. Chris showed up during the window he quoted and wasted no time getting to work. He started the second he arrived and was done within the hour. His pricing was incredibly reasonable and fair and so far, in the couple of weeks since he was here, we've had no issues with the dryer. Before he left, he also sent us a ton of pictures of what the vent looked like post-cleaning. Super happy and relieved.

One of the best home service experiences we've ever had!…read more Our HOA hired a roofing company to replace our shake roof a year ago and the demo made a horrible mess that the roofers refused to clean up. In the back of my mind, I've been stressing that the sawdust and debris could be creating a fire hazard. We got an estimate from another company that shocked us and found Chris Insulation on Yelp for a comparison quote. He came out to our house (in Sac) the next morning, suited up and spent about 15 minutes getting pictures and measurements of the attic. The quote was nearly $3,000 less and he was able to do the job the very next day. The team came by the next morning while we were gone and removed all of the debris and old insulation, vacuumed/sanitized, rodent proofed and air sealed the entire attic, cleaned out our dryer vent (for free), and replaced all of the insulation, including around our skylights. There is zero evidence that their crew was even here - the garage is spotless and the attic looks amazing. I am so relieved that we found someone so fantastic and that our job is finally taken care of.

I never did catch anything but had no more poop sightings in the garage, so when I heard thumping and scuttling noises in the morning above my bedroom ceiling, I was convinced they were back. This time in the attic. I had also seen squirrels in the backyard hop onto my roof from the fence and so thought it might be a combo of the two or one or the other. Reached out to Attic King via Yelp and Mosh himself came out within a few days to inspect. He checked both attic access points and visually walked the perimeter of my house. Imagine my surprise when he said he did not see activity in my attic and that he doesn't feel I need his services at this time! He felt the squirrels are on the roof and the rats activity that I saw in the garage in the past were just rodents that got in via an opened garage door or access points there. I understand that we cannot predict future animal behavior and rodents are everywhere around us. He did give a quick quote to seal the roof line only when I pushed for it and did not try to sell me any services. Good for me but maybe not so good for him and I really appreciated his honesty.

However, crawlspaces can get moldy and wet from lack of care. If you ever encounter rodents, there is a good chance they came via the crawlspace. After all, we do hear noises at night at times, which is creepy. Jacob visited and gave a comprehensive review and estimate. We basically went for a full package of rodent control, cleaning, and installing a new vapor shield to keep it dry. The while job took maybe 2.5 days with a crew of 3 workers each day. Outstanding quality work. First phase was sealing up the homes around the house and crawlspace, and laying traps. The attic was inspected too. This was followed up with weekly followups to ensure no more rodents. This scope was subcontracted to Golden State Critter Control. Highly recommend working with Greg. The next two phases involve cleaning and eventually reinstallation of the vapor shield. Compared to what we had before, it was day and night! I also appreciated the crew alerting me to a leaky drain pipe. I later worked with a plumber to replace a cracked 3"D drain pipe that connected upstairs to downstairs. It was fixed in about 3 hours with two plumbers. Definitely recommend Crawlspace Clean for rodent control and crawlspace cleaning. 5 stars.

The cleaners were very careful to keep the area around the workspace very clean and safe. Working below the foundation cleared debris and then sterilized the area. Then removing rat contamination and feces from the attic and the existing contaminated insulation. All questions were answered on the spot and any concerns were taken care of immediately. Even a missed closet was taken care of the next day. The cleaning and sterilization was done in 5 days. Due to the size of the home and the time to clean and replace the insulation.
