I went in so insecure and pessimistic because my hair was falling out. She started me on several medications and did another treatment and it worked. 2-1/2 years later, I feel so much better. I called to make another appointment at the new office and was told now she does not take insurance for hair treatments My insurance is phenomenal. They paid for everything I did except a $20 copay. But I was told due to having to fight with insurance companies, they no longer take insurance and it was patient pay at the time of service from now on. Talk about a blow. There are people in the world that are so grateful to have insurance to help with medical issues and now I'm unable to use them, at least without fronting the $$ first, which for some of us is not possible. Dermatological service is not inexpensive. This treatment was extremely helpful to me, physically and mentally. Women who have experienced this know what I am talking about. To a woman it is debilitating. This makes me sad, because I believe she is the best at what she does and this eliminates me from being able to utilize her knowledge and expertise. My son, as well, as he was trying to make an appointment, that now will not be possible. Shame on insurance companies for making things so difficult for physicians. I was fortunate enough to have a good one and never had a problem. I hope this changes. I am giving this 3 stars for this reason. There needs to be a compromise with these physicians and insurance companies because the patients pays. No Pun intended.
