I really needed a Attorney because, I was taking these false accusations very seriously and I wanted to protect my daughter, because she depended on me.I was searching for an attorney and most attorneys wanted to take advantage of me or didn't want to take my case. I found Attorney Lisa Wong and told her about my case and she took my case at a reasonable price for my situation. Attorney Wong is a great lawyer because, she is cautious and lets clients know how they will argue the case. At the hearing of the civil harassment Lisa was able to ask the Judge to dismiss the case, because the former IHSS provider was not credible in her testimony with the Judge asking her questions and couldn't provide convincing evidence. Lisa Wong on her cross examination was able to refute the IHSS providers declaration that the relationship with me was professional when, she provided evidence that my daughters IHSS provider had an inappropriate relationship with me.The Ihss provider got flustered when Lisa Wong made there testimony not credible to the judge.Lisa Wong asked the Judge to dismiss with prejudice the temporary civil harassment order.And the Judge granted it,And I was able to win my civil harassment case from the help of Lisa Wong. Lisa Wong helped me to win my small claims case for destroying the credibility against the IHSS provider! I had a terrible experience with My Rights Law Group. The attorney treated me with hostility just…read morebecause I politely pointed out a simple mistake in his first email. After that, he acted like he wanted to make my situation harder instead of helping me. He misled me about Discovery, telling me it would take weeks or a month. Later I learned that Discovery is not released at all when a case does not go to trial. He knew this from the beginning but still gave me misleading explanations. He also refused to give me signed documents I needed. I had to go to the courthouse myself and wait two to three hours for him to show up because he would not sign anything. The worst part was that he accessed a completely separate second case of mine without my permission and without any reason. I never told him about that case and never authorized him to look at it. This made me feel unsafe and violated. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this law firm.

Peter is the MAN! My ex-husband used law enforcement to gain the upper hand in our divorce, and was so good at it that he managed to set me up for a false arrest. Beware, if someone ever opens the door of your moving vehicle. Stop your car and call the police yourself, because you may be being set up! Yes, if you don't and you just drive away in fear, like I did, the police can come and find you and ask you questions. If you are frightened and upset and naive enough to speak to them, they may eventually be able to string just enough together to put hand cuffs on you and take you to jail. That is what happened to me, and it was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. I had no idea that I was being set up. Since then I have learned all of the tell-tale, textbook signs, but at the time I was in total shock and had no idea what to do. I was given the name and phone number of Peter Liss and after my first interaction with him my stress levels reduced dramatically. He got right back to me, and it was after working hours. He explained everything to me. He prepared me for what to expect. He coached me. He showed up so calm and cool and collected and then HE FIXED EVERYTHING. He saved my career. He is so razor sharp that he does not even need notes in court. I'll be indebted to this amazing man for the rest of my life. Giving a review for attorney Liss is both easy and hard. It is easy because all you need to do is just say he is wonderful - and he truly is. But it is also hard because it is not easy to describe how wonderful he is. As someone with a clean record, successful career and family, being hit with some serious charges was threatening to every aspect of our lives. Attorney Liss was godsend to us. His expertise, being respected and recognized within the court system, and his deep of knowledge of the intricacies of the legal system on top of his dedication made him ideal to achieve the best outcome for us. In our case, it was the perfect outcome anyone would hope for. He was able to get the case cleanly and quickly dismissed. He did so in a very short period of time and more importantly, during the whole process, we were able to live our life without any disruption besides having to attend court dates. It was just perfect. I wish there were 6 stars as a possible score based on my recent experience with Peter Liss. My son unfortunately received a second DUI within his probation timeframe and was facing prison time which to say the least, is an absolute parents' nightmare. If we could categorize the end result as a "miracle", we would but in reality it was due to Peter's relentless planning, tactical and strategic approach to the case and his numerous court appearances on behalf of and with my son. here are his strengths which are the most important criteria (in my opinion) for a positive result when dealing with a legal issue and working with the legal system: 1-his very thorough knowledge of the law 2-his extensive familiarity AND respect received by the San Diego prosecution and judicial members 3-his outstanding communication approach and we even reached him on the weekends and at night in a few emergency situations dealing with my son's situation 4-his calming demeanor which, especially when dealing with an intensely pressure cooker situation was extremely valuable 5-his office staff which is as competent and supportive as he is...even his answering service We owe my son's life, literally, to Peter and as I have previously stated, hope to never need his services again BUT for any future legal issues which I might face, he will be my first phone call and should be yours as well if you ever need legal assistance and your life or your loved ones is at stake. read more

Listen, I feel I know Peter pretty well and he's just a great guy...I have been lucky to have someone as professional as Peter handling my case. after I was involved in a traffic accident where I had many unanswered questions at the scene I was greatful that Mr. Liss was the person who was helping me ferret through all the inconsistencies. I suffer from panic disorder and post traumatic stress disorder all of which were triggered when the air bag went off in my face and knocked me out for a few short seconds at the beginning of the event. Not only did I total my car but I ran right into the back of another vehicle, and I can't begin to tell you how scared I was about what I had done or who I may have hurt in the accident. Peter never gave me false hope, he was always honest about my situation and professional when dealing with all of the parties involved. I was involved in an automobile accident in California, three thousand miles from home. I knew one person in California, who happened to be a retired state trooper. He recommended that I contact Peter Liss to represent me. That alone should tell you something. Peter is clearly a talented lawyer, but more importantly, he is a special human being. He was so kind to me, patiently listening to my dilemma, then calmly and methodically describing every potential scenario of my case. Peter took control right out of the gate, as I was stressed out being taken to court for contempt and potentially criminal contempt. He calmed me down (not an easy task) and had my confidence like no other could. Once in court, Peter took things very relaxed and I was anxious, knowing the accusations were false, but they were chronic liars. Peter sat calmly and projected lines of questioning that had the entire family of 4 squirming on the stand. Peter had them so nervous, that they ended up "not remembering" vs previous lying in their declarations. Peter also brought up statements that they made and he hd them eating out of the palm of his hand, even with me next to him wanting more! He played it so cool and dominated the courtroom. The lawyer for the other side was panicked as well and Peter stepped in and objected at just the right time and that really had their lawyer scrambling and stumbling in a confused and desperate manner. When I was "set free" and the judge literally lectured the behavior of the other attorney, it was classic! When leaving the courtroom, the other side was in tears and yelling at their lawyer. He did nothing wrong, but run into a much stronger adversary, Peter. read more

I was in the most scary and horrible situation of my life, not knowing exactly who to hire to help me it was a headache I went on Google to look for an attorney and I was reading the reviews that's why I decided to write one for Peter and take you through the whole process that I went through so when you finish reading it not hiring him would seem stupid. Mr. Liss has given me quick and accurate legal advice on a couple of occasions. On one of these occasions, the advice he gave me caused me to win a case I was involved in. I also have several close friends who have used Peter Liss to represent them in their criminal cases, and they have all gotten amazingly good results. He is the attorney I would use for myself or my family in a serious criminal matter, if I ever need one. He is a gifted and effective attorney who knows the system really well and he is an outstanding trial lawyer when the case needs to go to trial. I chose Peter based on 3 criteria: Experience (he has over 30 years - mostly DUI in Vista and surrounding areas), Reviews (he has excellent reviews), and education (he went to UC Berkeley School of Law). I was involved in a DUI accident/Injury and arrested for a felony. I called Peter and he was extremely experienced and laid out the factors that the DA would be taking into consideration for a plea. My BAC was .22 and it didn't look very promising. Peter worked with me to develop a strategy for which the DA understand my facts and circumstances and character. The result was a plea to a reduced charge of non-injury DUI misdemeanor with a stipulated BAC of .19. My fellow attorney friends were surprised at this (I went to law school) and a probation of 3 years (it is regularly 5 years)! I highly recommend Peter if you need representation on criminal matters, especially DUI. One last note - he and his office are extremely responsive, organized and professional. read more

Peter was a suberb Attorney. I am so happy that not only did I have an Attorney rather than a Public Defender, but I am so happy that my parents found him for my case. He did an amazing job with my case and I couldn't thank him enough, he helped me keep my son and helped make sure that nothing bad would happen to me or my family. Peter did the best of his abilities to make sure that everything went smoothly. When it was time to see the Judge at court he always had me in and out with great results. I was never at court for longer than 30 minutes which was amazing. Peter made sure to tell me everything before court started and he never changed his story in front of the Judge. My wife and I have used Peter Liss for several legal issues over the last 5 years and he has handled them all impeccably. In all cases he was successful in providing a victory, but that is not why I am reviewing. In each case he would listen, then would present your best options without ever overstating his abilities to get you the results you desire. Dedicated, honest and real are not attributes that you would normally associate with lawyers, but in Peter's case it is an understatement. This is my honest opinion about Attorney Liss, My girlfriend found him thru a referee and it was the best thing that could have happen for me, I was a out of towner, that got caught up in a bad situation, someone slip something in my drink, and next thing you know am facing my first DUI with a felony in the state of California, Met with Attorney Liss while I was in jail with a 100,000.00 bond, Attorney Liss was able to get it to 10,000.00, and that was just the beginning of his miracle work, I had to fly back and forward to California to fight my case, then Attorney Liss work another miracle after three trips, He was able to have my case lowered to a misdemeanor and no more trips to court, Attorney Liss is THE MAN!!! Peter Liss is a top notch and an experienced criminal defense attorney for a reasonable fee. We are extremely grateful for all that he did to protect our family. He helped our family through a very stressful time and got an excellent result. In a situation that can feel very overwhelming he made sure we felt comfortable and understood the process at every step. THE BEST!!!!! I highly recommend Attorney Peter Liss. My first meeting with Mr. Liss was a pleasant surprise. It was a scary humiliating situation to be arrested without the facts being gathered. I was very very fortunate to be recommended Peter by another lawyer who said she didn't feel confident handling my DUI case given the severity of the situation. Hiring Peter was the best decision I could have made given the mess I found myself in. He was able to get all charges except misdemeanor DUI dropped and even got my BAC reduced to shorten my SDSU course requirements. This was pretty much a best case scenario and way better than expected. Peter really fought to help the prosecutor and court understand that this was a very uncharacteristic mistake. His flat rate approach reduced the stress of the situation and his fees are very reasonable. We feel very lucky and grateful that we reached out when we did. The insurance issues turned out to be complicated, because there were multiple policies, including a policy that Uber offers. It took a while, but eventually Uber offered to pay its entire insurance policy, but then that had to be divided among all the injured parties, including the Uber driver. Mike doesn't spend a lot of time circling the issue - he gets right to the meat of it and communicates with me in a way I can understand. But that's not why I use him. I go to Mike with my legal questions and problems because he's ethical. Apparently, his principles and reputation are more important to him than maximizing his income. In a transaction or in devising a litigation strategy, there's really no way for the layman to know beforehand if the job is being done right or not. It's a question of trust.
