Pilates reformer sessions with Katie ROCK!…read more This type of workout is challenging, both in terms of working your muscles and also forcing yourself to pay particular attention to how every inch of your person is aligned, but you will also feel extremely safe in a way you sometimes might not have in yoga classes. The machines kind of nudge and keep you into certain positions, and having an instructor there to watch your every, single move no doubt helps, too. Leaving, you will walk differently -- head higher, shoulders pinched back, and much more aware of how engaged and strong you could be in your core. And it lasts. For days after, You'll catch myself slumping over in the car or at my desk and forcing yourself to contract your abdominals and straighten you spine. Private sessions can be a bit expensive, so grab a girlfriend or two, or see if there are clients at the studio looking to have a duo or trio session. More then worth the money and time.
