I've been having such a great experience at Club Pilates. The classes have made a noticeable difference in my mobility and have really helped with some ongoing back issues I've been dealing with. A special shout out to my instructor, Debbie--she's fantastic. She's attentive, encouraging, and clearly very knowledgeable. I always feel supported in class, no matter my level that day. I've gotten into a routine with my regular classes, and they've truly become something I look forward to each week. I think being greeted by the owner, Cynthia, was a great start. Hearing her story of how this (and Goleta location) was how she chose to spend her time in retirement...made me respect her from the beginning. Joined Club Pilates as an unlimted member about 3 months ago. Not a "gym" person or a club joiner and definitely never thought I'd join an exercise club in a strip mall BUT here we are and so glad I did! Feeling strong from the core - which I've never been able to achieve outside of physical therapy. Not all teachers are the same - which I suppose is good, as not all attendees are the same either! Take the time to find the teachers that you gel with and progress from there. Also, huge bonus - parking is a cinch at Five Points and you can run multiple errands right after! read more

I love Club Pilates. I have had a full year of unlimited classes, and am so happy I joined here. It's a very congenial low stress atmosphere. Highly qualified instructors who roam the room adjusting here, encouraging there ~ one can leave stress at the door and push as hard as that day allows. Club Pilates in 5 Points and Goleta are both fantastic studios! I love them both! I have done Pilates for years and Club Pilates is definitely the most welcoming and non-intimidating. Definitely buy the monthly membership for unlimited classes- it is worth every penny and cheap compared to other memberships/classes in SB! I've visited plenty of Pilates studios, but I was shocked when the instructor didn't even greet new members at this one. To make matters worse, the instructor seemed cold and judgmental, far from welcoming. Her teaching was mediocre at best, and her music choices didn't do much to set the mood either. As someone visiting from out of town, I was floored by the steep drop-in rate for just one class--it felt like an insult given the underwhelming experience. read more

I'm a big fan of Club Pilates in Five Points and go there 4 days a week. I joined post-COVID to get back in shape - but I don't think I'll ever stop. I enjoy the Flow classes as well as TRX. It's a great workout and the instructors are very supportive and friendly. read more

After 400+ classes I thought it was time for a review. Pilates should be for everyone and I love how this studio makes that possible. They have a well trained and friendly team of instructors. I love joining the camaraderie of the regulars and the way we welcome those visiting or newer to pilates. If you are new to Pilates try a free intro to get a sense of the possibilities. Pro tip: Don't start with level 2! That is the most challenging class. It isn't on a scale of 1-10 it is on a scale of 1 to 2. Level 1 is a good workout without too many coordination and balance challenges. Level 1.5 assumes some Pilates knowledge and 2 includes advanced Pilates movements with standings balance challenges. Mix it up with the suspend using TRX straps, control with some barre, or cardio and fit classes to raise that heartbeat a bit more. read more

Loved the intro class! Backstory : I went to another place in town and took a class they said was fine for a first timer Pilates class, they didn't Explain at all how the machines worked and didn't really seem to pay attention to how everybody was working out . I almost did not try Pilates again but was told to go to club Pilates and I really liked it. They have an intro class to show you how to work everything And they really seem to be into your form which I think is really important when working out. They have multiple types of classes from beginner Pilates to advanced Pilates and cardio type classes , etc that all seem to be Pilates based . The instructor seemed really knowledgeable and took the time to walk around and make sure Everybody was doing the exercise correctly. I also really like the lighting inside.I I injured myself over Covid and been trying to find a work out that could get me strong again . The class was a good mix of strength training ,alignment and stretching and my knee did not hurt once. Definitely check them out If you're looking for a good Pilates studio in town. read more

Prior to the start of the shutdowns I bought a package at the 5 points club Pilates ... I work a job that requires me to be at considerable risk of catching the virus due to international travel. I made the decision to not put others at risk and didn't ever use one of the classes. I'm an avid Pilates student so I continued my practice at home and then later after the pandemic was over , at different studios around town. I frankly forgot about the package and only recently reached out to ask if I might now use the classes I already paid for .. the person trying to help me was named Peach and she was wonderful she was in contact and tried to get the owner of the studio to allow me to use the classes I paid for prior to the shut down. I was told today they would not honor those classes. It's too bad because I would like to have just one studio with lots of classes - it really is bad customer service to let someone pay 200$ and get nothing read more

I joined Club Pilates in La Canada and I am really enjoying it. The classes are very good and all of the instructors are skilled. There is an art to signing up though. You have to sign up on the wait list at times, and then watch to see a space opens up for you. I have never had to miss a class because I remained on the wait list. There is a policy that people have to cancel 12 hours in advance, so usually I am notified the day before that I am off of the wait list and scheduled for the class. read more

I really love everything about Club Pilates. The owner, manager, instructors have all been welcoming and kind. The space is beautiful. Pilates itself is amazing. The studio is very nice and the instructors are great as well. It is frustrating that they make you sign up for a 3 month commitment (that you get penalized for trying to break) and you can not get into classes easily. The schedule is limited and it's very difficult to get the classes you want because they fill up quickly. I found that frustrating and for that reason I do not recommend it for someone with a busy schedule. read more

I wholeheartedly recommend Club Pilates to everyone. Meagan, the general manager, is especially helpful and knowledgeable and all of the instructors I have had so far are fantastic. They offer modifications when needed (for my weak knees) and are very understanding. I'm new to Pilates and the instruction has been clear and easy to follow. The studio is gorgeous. Wood reformers, TRX equipment, barre bars, and more at each station. It is masterfully laid out so everything is handy and the workout flows from exercise to exercise. I especially like the lighting. It's soothing and when I leave I feel like I've been to a spa despite the fact it's Pilates and I just worked dozens of muscles I didn't know I had. I had two worries when I started - that Pilates would be too hard for me and that parking would be crowded at Five Points but so far I am LOVING Pilates and parking is plentiful. read more
