If you're looking for a Santa Barbara yoga community, then you need to come to Yoga Soup…read more I've been practicing with Yoga Soup for several years now, starting with their intro month membership (which has great student and senior rates available too) before transitioning to be part of their work-trade team. What originally brought me to the studio was the undeniable sense of community that exudes from the space. Here, yoga is more than a physical practice on the matt. And honestly for me, it's been a place to explore what it means to be human and how I want to show up for myself, those around me, and more generally, the world. But maybe more importantly, there's truly a class for everyone. Yoga Soup can be your place to find a woman's circle or to get in a sweaty vinyasa flow or shake it out dancing. Whatever it is, what I love is that each class feels like it's part of larger mosaic that reflects a wide diversity of offerings, modalities, perspectives, and styles, all intended to help you find what you need, when you need it. Last year, I completed Yoga Soup's 300 hour advanced yoga teacher training taught by Dora Chan, Jazmin Ment, Cynthia Abulafia, and Luca Cupery. This training went beyond my wildest expectations. The depth of knowledge from the teachers, the support from the studio, and the inclusive, welcoming culture set by the whole community is second to none. If you're interested in deepening your yoga practice (regardless of whether or not you want to teach), I highly highly recommend this program. Or if you're just getting started on your studies, they also offer a 200 hour yoga teacher training - which I am honored to be supporting this year! With so many yoga studio's in California - and Santa Barbara - you truly can't go wrong. But, for me, I am so grateful to have found a home for my practice at Yoga Soup.

Thank you for making me and my stiff one dimensional workout body fall in love…read morewith Yoga , your lovely team and the powerful Power of Your OM yoga studio in Santa Barbara. Dear Adrienne, you are one of the nicest, coolest, most accommodating, solid ( and very flexible- yoga humor ok my attempt at) business owners I have met. You have this beautiful natural way of connecting with all and making this bum who resisted yoga his whole life a raving fan. You welcomed us both so warmly. It is not a surprise that 37 diehard fans showed up for your 6 am class on Wednesday October 8th. You found a way to make us all fit( photo) and ensured every one got a great workout. You remembered both our names a few minutes after meeting us and addressed us in the class. I loved your heart, your honesty and your spunk about how you and your husband moved to Santa Barbara 14 years ago. I loved the real, human and personal communication from the stellar Lindsey, the excellent Emily and the very nice David who really took the time to come by and relate to me as he suggested slight and actually very helpful shifts in my Warrior and Bhujangasan poses( yup my vocabulary increased beautifully). No one treated me like a newbie- they all wanted me to learn the fundamentals the right way. Loved it! LOVED IT!!!! The vibe in the studio be it at 8:15 pm or 6:00 am the next day was LOVE. Power to the Om and yes huge props and 5 stars for " Power of Your Om." Any one and everyone in Santa Barbara, you have got to go to this absolutely tremendous Yoga studio. Can't wait to be back.

I took a surge class at Power of Your Om and overall it was a very good class. Flow was about low to mid level, a little bit slower and more fluid than most C2 classes at Corepower. The main difference between Power of Your Om and Corepower is the heat. Corepower is hotter because of the increase in humidity and temperature while Power of Your Om uses dry heat. The space is on the small side and there is no dressing room or shower, but it makes up by being less pricey than Corepower.

On our bucket list for the weekend, we started our search with good old Instagram and easily found Santa Barbara Beach Yoga. We wanted to make a session on Friday but no sessions were available so Emma offered a private session for our group of 3. It worked out perfect and was extremely reasonable with pricing. Plus, we really enjoyed the 1:1 attention. Although, when you have the headphones on, you could literally be with 100 people and not even realize it with your eyes closed! The location was really easy to find and away from the busy beach side near the wharf. The Pavilion is a beautiful setting with super clean restrooms as well so that helped! Soon as we arrived, Emma went over all the new Covid procedures put in place to help ease any concerns. As this was our first beach session, she shared lots of tips to help with our comfort of the sand and body positions. We felt comfortable from the beginning to end. The session was amazing and felt so great. Thank you Emma for an amazing yoga session during our visit to Santa Barbara!! We can't wait to go back! I'll be keeping a look out for any virtual classes as I'd love to pop in my backyard and take a session here in the bay area. Thanks again!

However, I started noticing some muscle imbalance issues and pain that needed attention before they became worse. I took the big step and joined as a full client. In my assessment, they looked at my strengths and weaknesses, and wrote me up a plan specific for me and what I needed. The trainers are all amazing. I never feel like I'm just killing myself with the work out... I feel more like little steps that build me into a stronger person. Workouts are easy to schedule, the physical therapist that treat you are both incredible. I tell them they have "healing hands." All the trainers and clients are so friendly.
