Thus, it was a sad day to visit this funeral home on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 in Medina for a memorial but the staff here were very professional on the day I visited. Everything was set up well for the memorial. I didn't realize that I would be viewing an open casket so I definitely cried alot upon seeing my friend's body but I'm happy that he knew God. My mother's rapidly failing health did give us time to work with Roberts to co-ordinate transfer of her body to Wadsworth from my sister's home in another city, anticipate the church service with a reception at the church afterwards and for the family to write the obituary they wanted published. We were assured that all was in place weeks before my mother's death. BUT --- when the time came --- there was confusion in transporting the body, the church was unaware of the need for a funeral mass, no reception could be organized and the obituary was NOT the one the family had written with much thought and consideration, rather was it was as much fiction as fact --- making errors in her place of birth, names of children and how the grandchildren were to be acknowledged. To top off the disarray --- the website referenced in the published obituary was unable to accept condolencences or messages to the family should anyone try. There was such discrepancy from the organization we had been lead to expect with such advance notice and the lack thereof at such a stressful moment, it is not possible to recommend their services. Hillcrest Memorial Gardens is a beautiful resting site, but use another funeral home.

Our most recent burial witnessed a member of the grounds crew desecrate the memory of our brother who was having his ashes buried on that day. This employee took a floral arrangement that had been set up on a table as we prepared for a committal service and threw it into the open cremation grave. We were mortified and when we complained to the cemetery office we were told basically "we do our best". Are these the same employees that are unloading the remains for the crematory? We are not going to take the chance.
