The car went into an independent garage and they had the car in for 3 weeks and couldn't find what was wrong with it.. all we know is that it was something to do with the timing chain which could've been that they fitted it with an inferior part or a mistake was made when fixing it but either way it lasted 900 miles and then broke down. I was quoted £12,000 by Jaguar for a whole new engine which they thought it needed! Flexy cars took no responsibility, refused to cover the recovery of the vehicle and insisted it was my responsibility (it legally is not), recovery was quoted at £600 due to distance. Fast forward 12 months and there's too much to mention but long story short, I hired a lawyer and we went through an extremely long winded legal process.. made long by their refusal to meet any of the deadlines, do any of the things the court ordered and constantly avoiding contact, dragging their heels, trying to muddy the waters and create confusion and ultimately getting extension after extension from the court, all the time costing ME the innocent customer who had been sold a duff car more and more money, time, energy and stress. They based their whole defence on the wording my lawyer had used calling it a cam belt fault (which we got from the AA report) when the car has a timing chain. These things are practically exactly the same thing and they were just doing anything they could to avoid responsibility. PLEASE AVOID FLEXY CARS THEY ARE LIARS, DISHONEST, SELL FAULTY CARS AND ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY! I've learnt valuable lessons from this experience but I don't want anyone else to make the same mistake. If they refuse, it is then your right to a full refund. Do not let them get away with being cowboys any more! 1. If you see positive reviews, this is because they are pressuring people to leave positive reviews across multiple platforms while they are closing the sale. They did the same to me, offering me a discount for leaving a positive review. If there are any positive reviews from me on other platforms, this is why. This violates the terms of use for all those platforms. Really they should be removed from every platform, but if they were, then you would not be able to see what a bad reputation they had. 2. My review has been seen by over 1050 people, Flexy cars have not bothered to respond further to my complaint or this review. That should tell you, the reader, all you need to know. 3. Within 800 miles of the MOT being carried out by Flexy, all brakes needed to be replaced. Flexy claims car was sold in working order, and it is wear and tear. I reject this. 4. Within 2000 miles of the MOT, all four tyres needed replacing. They said the tyres were sold within legal limits, I reject this. Along side the issue with the brakes, this is beyond suspicious. 5. The AC compressor is not working. When I reported this, I was told it was not covered by the "extended warranty". When I learnt about my rights under the consumer rights act 2015, I went back to them. They said they had no record of my reporting this, and it was therefore not covered. See attached photos to see if this was reported properly. 6. The front axel and rear axel had different sized across the same axel. This is illegal to the best of my knowledge. I have attached photos about this. 7. They were meant to get a cap for the driver's door. They did not fit this by the time I picked up the car. After collecting, upon calling Farook, he fobbed me off saying the person who deals with this is not here, call back Tuesday. 7 months after purchase, I do not have this, despite being given it in writing. Flexy had the audacity to claim it was already on the car when I picked it up. I have attached the photo showing the deposit receipt and Farook's handwriting confirm that he would be sorting this out. If they cannot do something so simple, you have to question what it is they can do. 8. As other reviews clearly state, Farook took ages to process the documents for the V5. Flexy claims any delays were due to "external agencies". I checked with the DVLA during the period in which we were waiting for the V5. They said no application had been received. As it's all done electronically, when my father chased Farook up, it came within a week. 9. I have opened a complaint through the AA, as they are approved used car dealers through the AA. They are meant to follow the ombudsman scheme. However, if I do not receive a positive outcome, I will follow up through the small claims court. I would recommend anyone else who is suffering from these people's shoddy business practices does the same. I will update the review as more develops. In the interim, I recommend anyone thinking of purchasing a car from these people should be seen by a psychiatrist immediately. I have had to spend £2000 on repairs after buying this car from them, I will still have to replace the rear brake discs, and I still need to get the AC repaired. It's a bit insulting when they returned my car with new and dangerous defect both times I give if for them for a simple service! Each time It's been running fine when I dropped it off, but the 1st time I used them, as we drove through France the vibrations around the brakes was so strong we had to stay around 50mph until we could get back and have the brakes changed. A year later, I though, fair enough, it might have been a one off and I'm always quite Brixton-centric, but this time they broke the Diesel pipe for the diesel filter so that car was leaking fuel very obviously when they gave it back. They are shut on Fridays (not mentioned) and we had a boat to catch, so another garage (Manolo - grumpy but great) opened-up and found that off the hoses they had accidentally pulled-out (a few meaning that the car have almost no power above 30mph), the fuel filter connection have been roughly bent and broken. When they re-opened I told them and he promised to pay for the damage, and them never did. Don't bother. Go for the atmosphere, the dappled light through the grease covered skylights, bit don't go with your car.

Went here to get my car's MOT done, they charged £35 which…read morewas a good price and told me that I needed to have my front two tyre replaced and they can do this for me at an additional charge. the mechanic who was completing my cars MOT was very polite and told me that he will put on the new tyres before performing the MOT, the waiting area/reception is a bit dreary and can do with a bit of modernising and the MOT did take longer than expected, but I was able to work out a good deal with the price of the MOT and two new tyres. Overall a good quality job was done and as an added bonus my front two alloy wheels had been cleaned. Highly recommend Taj Quick Fit.

I've liked using Capital Cars for quite a few years. They tend to be cheaper and do only what needs…read moredoing. Granted they cut corners (e.g. cutting through the body to fit the fuel pump rather than charging loads to take out the fuel tank), but I've been fine with that - that's the reason I've continued to use them even when I've moved away from the area. However this time they cut too many corners. They supposedly fixed a problem, but clearly didn't test the car because as soon as I started driving the power was unreliable. After a couple of minutes, I was about to turn around to take it back when the the car wouldn't start again. At some busy traffic lights. On a dual carriageway. They refused to come and luck at it so I can to waste an afternoon waiting while a breakdown truck came to tow it back. When I dropped it back, I clearly told AJ "I don't want to spend any more money on it, so call before you do any work", intending to scrap the car if the problem was serious. What happened? He did more work, to remedy his earlier mistake, then charged me even more.

I asked if it was for sale, however they referred me to Shaw's Corner Redhill where their used car showroom and sales were based. So I trolled along, parking in the rear car park. A Yaris was in that showroom ,an Hybrid so it was called. I negotiated a good price for the part exchange, and the necessary forms and deposit was arranged. A short trip around the block was arranged, and the car would be ready within a few days, all that was needed was to notify the insurance company . The car had free MOT and road Tax apparently, that was a bonus. Very grateful to Frank whom very efficiently went through all the paper work required, leaving only one thing to arrange ,the personal insurance and notification to arrange.
