It's a great exchange shop - you can sell off any of your unwanted electrical items, I find that you don't tend to get very much for things like DVDs but at least you get something back in your pocket if your mum starts threatening to take your collection to the charity shop! I've never bought anything more substantial, like a phone or game console, although they do sell them readily, I can't help agreeing with Craig in that much of it could well be taken-from-somebody's-hand rather than actually second-hand but nevertheless this Bristol branch offers a wide range of most things electrical. I particularly like coming here off a morning and spending a good hour rumbling through the stacks - it's always fun to go for an odd ball, something you've never heard of, sometimes it's brilliant and sometimes it's one to trade back to CeX!

It feels shiny and new and you sometimes forget that all the stock was unwanted by someone. I mean I saw an iPad in there today...an iPad!!! Who got bored of it so fast they felt the need to sell it! And why weren't they allowed a refund from Apple, the thing only came out about a week ago!? They have a huge range of electronics in this shop; it's great just to have a browse. They have technical components and computer equipment for the tech guys who might want an upgrade, but they also have a great selection of cameras and laptops. They have a huge amount of computer games and DVDs and you can sell them yours once you've finished with them. I am not sure how good they are with the prices they will give you for them, but at least they are here to give us the option. Some of the stock prices seem a little high, but I am sure some haggling would be allowed.

I'd walked past Ablectrics a few times and it stuck in my mind as the place to go for basic electrical goods. Therefore, that was the first place I went to find a new kettle. I looked in the shop and saw an array of goods all lit up by the bright fairy lights in the window. There were a few kettles (as well as other items) on show and with a varying range of prices. Kettles were from £9.95 to over £60 - showing the window-shopper that there was something for them whatever their budget. I went inside and asked about the cordless £9.95 kettle. The man at the counter was friendly and knew the item straight away. Within seconds I was convinced and bought the kettle - happy that it was not a standard kettle from a larger supermarket or somewhere similar.

(Support local business, I thought - don't go to Argos!) Once you're inside, there is a small corner where you can browse a few of the more expensive electronic items, housed within a glass cabinet, then there's the counter that separates you from the staff and all of the stock. I can see how this is a pretty good idea, as the other guy who happened to be in the shop at the time was completely crazy - I guess electronics stores must attract them. The fellow behind the counter was very friendly and quickly pulled out the correct item for me from the back of the shop. Only £6! Excellent. I left satisfied in the knowledge that I had supported an independent retailer and didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to do so. Good times.

You can get most of the stuff cheaper online but I think it's nice to see toys and baby things in the flesh before you decide. The only slight drawback is the ladies who work there. I don't know if they have a lot of trouble with shop lifters, but they treat everyone who ventures in as though they either have stolen something, or are about to try it. A bit uncomfortable at first, but once you realise they are like that with everyone, you can just ignore it!

It was a little off the cuff so I didn't have the image with me, so I asked if I could email it to them - no problem, I was told. But it was, for me! Little did I know that I'd be charged for sending them an email! Anyway, I asked them to print off one copy, which they did, but it came out on really thin paper and the ink looked a little blotchy. So I asked for it to be done again on thicker paper. This copy came out really well so I was happy, until the price came; £3.10!!! Now, I know £3.10 in the grand scheme of things isn't a lot of money, but I was charged 30p for sending them an email, 20p for the first piece of paper, 30p for the next and the rest for printing it - ridiculous! Who charges for accepting an email? Sorry Cartridge Right, but never again!

This small computer centre in a popular student area in Bristol is well placed and a lifesaver to…read moremany an ailing computer system. Their name suggests just an ink cartridge provider (which they are, and with a very good range too), but they do more than that. They also repair broken computers, run PC health checks and can upgrade your system for very competitive prices. If you're feeling environmentally conscious, you can also recycle old cartridges here. I really like their attitude to their business too; they went independent around 18 months ago from being a franchise and now run a little Bristol based business in order to keep prices low and customers happy. The staff in the shop are always really helpful, even if they have a lot on their hands.

I'd rather pay a bit more and choose when I spend. That they managed to convince me to get a contract in a single visit. I'm not quite sure how they did it. I remember talking to the shop assistant for a bit, who threw some numbers that sounded really good. At this point I said that I'd go and compare my options. The store assistant then agreed with me that that was a good idea, talked for a bit more and about ten minutes later I was signing the contract. Very sly.. Anyway, enough about how I got taken in. The shop is neat and stylish. It's set out like most other phone shops. There are high spec phones on the walls, tempting you, and eager shop assistants that appear out of nowhere and ask you how you are. They're slightly less abrasive here than most places, which is such a relief. You can see them eyeing the commission they can earn off you as soon as you go into some Carphone Warehouses. It does seem good value as well, although I haven't gone around and collected figures on this. The Orange shop is a step up compared to most phone shops, but they still very effective at getting you to buy a phone.

Owner Tim is the BEST, and the brilliant Matt and Dave, who have done most of my installations, are extraordianry. This is such a reliable, fantastic company - the best company of any I have ever dealt with, not just TV and audio. Have just had a 77 inch Panasonic OLED (Panasonic are my favourite company) and I just love it. Matt also tuned all my apps etc before he left. It would have taken me ages. I use MOSS wherever I am in the UK! They are NOT more expensive than other companies, by the way!

Great selection of big screen TVs and stands, a good selection of portable audio and a sound proof listening room for audio separates. They install Sky Digital too.

I bought my partner a RoadAngel Professional Connected from Lemon Digitial and although the initial…read moresales process was quick and easy and delivery was as promised what they sent me was an obvious returned product as the box was already opened, the actual unit was wrapped in bubble wrap and there were elements missing to enable the unit to be stuck on the windscreen. After 3 emails asking why they'd sent me a 2nd hand unit when I'd paid for a brand new one were ignored we decided to send it back - especially as we'd then discovered that it was already registered as well so that was further proof that this was a returned item. I had to chase up after I'd sent it back Special Delivery just to be told in a one liner email that they had refunded the product! No 'sorry' - No 'would you like us to send you a brand new one' ! So don't be fooled by the lure of a good deal, this a shambles of a company and I'd highly recommend steering clear.

However, these guys were the cheapest and after speaking to them on the phone I thought Id give it a go, they supplied me with the goods within 16 hours of making the order! Very Efficient and i will definatley use again! Thanks Guys A*****
