Melisa navigated our challenging request for a Kosher-catered kids' party combined with an Abigail Kirsch-catered adult party. She was able to attend to these dietary needs with ease and sensitivity so that everyone felt accommodated. She also helped us figure out the event timing while respecting our Orthodox guests' needs around Shabbat. Melisa only recommends well-vetted vendors and was able to introduce us to several at different price points to meet our budget. We loved all her vendors and were impressed by their professionalism and coordination. Melisa speaks fluent teen-ease. She knows all the latest trends for swags, games and decor, and was also able to tell us where we could save and where we should splurge. When Melisa broke her ankle a week before our event, I was worried. But she fully delivered--on wheels! In a scooter, she still managed to make sure every detail of our event went smoothly and on time. I expected there to be mistakes, but honestly, every element of the party was perfect. She coordinated the day-of timing beautifully and made sure I remembered to pack all the little items. Our family was truly able to be present at our party and enjoy our guests. I was at a friends daughter's bat mitzvah several weeks ago that was planned by Amy Winters Event.....I was expecting the same, usual run of the mill parties. Loud music, lots of kids and lots of edible food. At arriving at the venue, I was floored. The decorations, the set up and ambiance was truly amazing. The space was magical. It was transformed into a fantasy world I could not have imagined. I complimented the parents of the party and they pointed to a woman across the dance floor. They told me that her name is Amy from Amy Winters Events. I have since hired Amy to plan my wedding. If Amy can create a fantasy for a 13 year old. Unfortuneately that was not the case. She was impossible to work with and whatever I asked her to do she basically had little to no interest in helping me along. She was happy to take my money and promised that she would do anything and everything for the event. The contract read coordinate, design and execute affair. She did not coordinate, she certainly did not design and I guess she executed but was happy to leave early that evening and never even mention that she was going. I had no guidance, I did invitations, accessories, party favors, bags, labels,etc. I asked her for help with entertainment for the kids she told me to talk to the entertainment company(pure energy who is amazing). A bride should not be crying on the day of her wedding!!! They had a deal for $1500 which includes everything such as centerpieces and backdrop. On the day of my wedding the owner had the audacity to tell me that I didn't pay for the centerpieces even tho we were promised and it was part of the package and told me that she didn't need to give me them that they were a gift and brought them 2 hours late. It was so embarrassing my sisters had to put the centerpieces out in front of the guest not even them.
